And will half-wit Rome retract his statement when Nebraska wins?
What?? Retract his comments about giving opponents bulleting board material?? NO!! You just don't do that.
-
I don't want any USC injuries. The closer to 100% they are, the better our program looks "WHEN" we beat them.

This is the same guy that said earning a blackshirt was getting free money.
who said this? jones or homo..rome?
Jones said this...........but no dissing Jim Rome.

I hope he backs it up.

We have a better chance than what everybody is giving us. The fact is, they don't have Bush or Leinhart. Granted, they have been top 5 in recruiting the last few years and they are stacked. But, replacing both of them is down grading no matter how you look at it. We got a chance. The front seven need to pin their ears back go get some Booty.

Ya know, I was gonna run some smack in the spirit of college football and sports in general like what fans are supposed to do. But to mention huskerboard or any other "husker" board would just be "dorky". Trust me I would not do that. I am a die hard husker fan but I am not a subscriber to "We are the greatest fans in the world" crap.

I'm listening to Matt Perault right now and apparently, there's an L.A. Times article hammering Nebraska and fans. Although the person might have some good points about western Nebraska and pretty much every where except Lincoln and Omaha being fly over country and having no trees. But anyways, does anybody know of any USC message boards that I can invade and start running some smack??

Ever since he was hired, I always felt that his defensive coordinating ability was suspect, judging by his history. Well, next Saturday we will finally see what he is all about. I do think that he has proved himself to be the weakest link of the coaching staff last season. Our defense cannot match up to USC athletically, so I hope Cosgrove has something cooked up.

I thought he was supposed to be a T.O. type reciever for NU.

Damn, it seems like Fluellen has already been here for 10 years. If he takes a medical redshirt, he can come back next year and be a 11th year senior.
-
Has anybody heard the latest on Lucky, Fluellen, Grixby, and Dillard????
-
Don't think that it will be on PPV because the game is at noon thirty. Cable companies rely more on bars and businesses buying the game cause it costs them $400 to purchase it, they make more money that way.

Opposing defenses should be the ones who are concerned not ours.
If you are Nicholls State or La Tech, than maybe you should worry. We will have to wait and see. I am a Husker fan but i don't wear goggles like some people.

I used to be a bank teller in north Omaha right on 42nd and Ames Ave. And whether you believe it or not, about 70% of the customers were white. So to me, they did not stick out like a sore thumb, I didn't see or hear any shootings, I did not get robbed, and I have worked at that branch for about 2 years. And to be honest, I would feel safer in North or South O than I would in any town in western Nebraska.

Can be looked at in 2 ways. Kenny Wilson is a beast or Husker rush defense still needs work and Kansas and Mizzou will again have a field day rushing the ball. Also factor in that there have been a number of reports that Wilson, Lucky, and Glenn have had a number of 20+ yard runs in practice.
-
Yes, cause we all know that shootings never happen in West Omaha don't we.
-
Great run wasn't it?? But let's look at it from the other side of the coin. What if our rush defense is still bad?? Number 8 which I think is our starting free safety Shanle got used and abused in that run. Anybody worried about our Safety position and our run defense??

LINCOLN - Even before Harrison Beck's seat in the Nebraska locker room had grown cold, a new quarterback appears ready to take his place on the depth chart.
Former blue-chipper Brian Hildebrand of Corona, Calif., is set to enroll at NU this month and begin practice as soon as Saturday, his junior college position coach said.
"He's going to go in there and help Nebraska," said Mike Moschetti, the quarterbacks coach at Mt. San Antonio (Calif.) College. "He's going to battle somebody for that No. 2 spot right away."
Hildebrand, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound sophomore, would be eligible to play immediately with three seasons to complete his career.
He confirmed Tuesday that he is headed to Nebraska later this week. He must complete a final exam on Thursday to finish work on his associate's degree.
Hildebrand said NU coaches asked him to withhold further comment on his transfer until his juco coursework is completed.
Moschetti was under no such restriction.
The coach, who started at quarterback for Colorado in 1998 and 1999, helped connect Hildebrand with the Huskers. Moschetti keeps close ties with several members of the NU staff - notably tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator Shawn Watson, who served as quarterbacks coach at CU during Moschetti's senior season.
"From what Coach Watson has told me, the (NU) offense is a lot like what we ran at CU," Moschetti said. "There's just different wording, so I've been going over a few things with Brian."
Nebraska was involved in recruiting Hildebrand even before it pursued Beck quit the team last weekend. His departure provides more of an opportunity.
Hildebrand redshirted at Oregon State in 2004. He left Oregon State after one semester for Mt. Sac, where he started five games last season before suffering a torn ligament in his right thumb. He finished the year 56-of-99 passing for 791 yards with three touchdowns and five interceptions.
"He's got a great body and great tools, a real strong arm," Mt. Sac head coach Bob Jastrab said. "He was really starting to do well for us, and then he got hurt."
At Nebraska, only three scholarship quarterbacks remain - senior starter Zac Taylor, sophomore Joe Ganz and sophomore Beau Davis. Hildebrand would arrive in Lincoln after taking a path similar to Taylor, who attended Wake Forest out of high school and started one season in junior college.
Hildebrand was an Elite 11 quarterback three years ago before his senior season. Rivals.com ranked him as the nation's No. 12 pro-style QB in 2004, behind the likes of Rhett Bomar (Oklahoma), Chad Henne (Michigan), Brian Brohm (Louisville), Drew Weatherford (Florida State) and Erik Ainge (Tennessee).
Moschetti said Hildebrand was nearly set to enroll at Colorado last winter, but then Gary Barnett was fired and new coach Dan Hawkins was not interested. Hildebrand also received interest in the spring from UCLA.
For the most part, though, he was overlooked because of the thumb injury and his academic situation in one semester at Oregon State.
"He's a big-time quarterback," Moschetti said. "I think this whole thing is a blessing in disguise. There's no better situation in the country than at Nebraska. And this kid can play with anybody."

That's why if you are a degenerate gambler, nows the best time to bet on the huskers.
