  1. DAMN STRAIGHT I don't get it. They should of beaten NU by more than what they did. They shut down the run game. They dominated NU's O-line. Nebraska is just not there yet talent wise. The O line held thier own in the second half. Texas had 4 fumbles, and all but one bounced right under one of thier linemen. We can beat Texas. We shot ourselves in the foot with the 3 turnovers. Those 3 turnovers can be offset by the missed field goals. Don't matter. Nebraska will not get a better shot. We were at home. It was cold and snowing. The QB is a promising RS Freshman who's only gonna get better. They dominated both of our lines.....period. They were bigger and faster and it showed. Hmm if they dominated our OL why didn't they have a sack in the second half? Please explain! You cannot break down a game into pieces. Getting sacked 4 times, no matter when in the game is enough. Flat out!!!!! You people need to quit looking at things through your Husker goggles and realize, the better team won. Huskers have ways to go. They need to go get better talent. Today was not a talent issue. Both teams played well and played very evenly. It seams you are the one wearing the goggles (the I watched a different game than everyone else goggles). What decided this game was turnovers and tackling. Do the Huskers have a ways to go, yes, but I feel a lot better about this team as of today. I wonder how your outlook may of been different if Texas had missed the final field goal? I watched the same game as you. And again, I am not bashing the Huskers. The defense played very well. My original post was a response to people saying that "Texas was lucky." and "Texas will get stomped next time." Which will NOT happen this year or next year.
  2. Why can't you break a game down like that. It is called second half adjustments. We figured out a way to stop their pass rush and kept with it. Yes, the better team did win, but they won with a last minute field goal. I think that we all know that we need more talent and we still have room for improvement. Look...I'm not saying that the Huskers didn't play balls out and a good game. I'm not saying BC didn't coach a good game. There's just a lot of Husker homers like Jadler who don't have their head on straight saying things like TX was lucky and we are gonna kill them the next time we play. My point is, we got lucky. We were at home, cold and snowy. Everything was set up our way. We could not run the ball. We will not be able to run the ball in KC, our OL's suck. You can say that "we are getting better" all you want. But you know who else will get better?? UT. Colt McCoy will be better than Vince Young, trust me. At best, we are a top 20 team. We will not be a top 10 or a top 5 team for at least 2 more years.

  6. Keep in mind that it is illegal to sell tickets on the property for more than face value. I'm not talking about the scalpers that are walking around across the street. I mean the people who are actually outside the gates of the stadium trying to sell their extras.
  7. I just imagine, out of 80k people. Somebody has to have some extra tickets available.
  8. I posted this on the main board because there is a better chance that everybody will read this and may have knowledge on this. Everybody knows how hard it is to come across tickets. My question is, is it easy to avoid scalpers, ebay, classified ads, and find tickets minutes before kickoff right outside the stadium. I don't mean the people that are off the property because those are the ones that are scalpers but I'm talking about the people who are right outside the gates. I know somebody who said he does this quite often but I'm wondering is it as easy as he says it is.
  9. Did say that. What I said was "I certainly hope that NU is above this type of professional wrestling-like behavior. I have always felt that it is not only how we played, but how we acted that set us apart from teams like Miami and Florida State." This teams are known for their on-field antics. If you want to call it swagger, it is your perogative. I call it rediculous. There is a level when celebration becomes idiocy. Celebrating is a good and natural thing, but fake mooning a crowd is another. Useless and cocky self promotion that really does nothing for the team, but mostly draws attention to the individual and unwanted attention to the team. I guess, I find football entertaining enough without all of the theatrics. Possibly, but until they play, this means nothing. I could say Marshall could beat the Packers...it means nothing. There is such a thing as a classless winner. Well, I guess I just find too much excitement watching a college football game that I really don't have time to sit there and be judgemental on some 19 - 20 year old kids. Maybe that's just me, but I do like to worry about myself and not others.
  10. So.......just because a team has a swaggart, it's pro-wrestling like?? Miami and FSU are both better than NU. And if you are talking about teams like LSU, Florida, Alabama, Auburn as well?? I'll be willing to bet, if you take any one of those teams and put them in the Big XII, they will clean house.
  11. I agree with this post very much. I don't think NE fans are "the greatest fans". There is no greatest fans in the country. It won't be until probably at least 2 more generations of season ticket holders where the crowd will create a hostile environment. These blue hairs act like Memorial Stadium is an effing church or something.
  12. Just give all the old people at MS an excuse to yell at people for being too loud or standing up, why don't you.
  13. Or maybe KU's a little better than we think That's basically just summing up what I am saying. Or........maybe the Husker's aren't as good as we thought.
  14. They need faster OLBs and obviously better DB's and Safety's. They are pretty much depleted of any talent.
  15. Yes and I never new that Franz Hardy was the fastest of the bunch. He does have that typical "Floridian" speed.
  16. The O-line had nothing to do with ZT underthrowing Nunn twice last in the first quarter. Trying to thread the needle to Hardy. And the 2 near picks by the Kansas D. The O-line held well during those particular plays.
  17. I need to know the closest hotel to the Hilton Coliseum.
  18. That is about the dumbest post I have seen in a LONG TIME! "Slow White Guys"....Very classy! :asshat Fine, drop the "white". Fact remains, our LBs are SLOOOOOOOW. :hmmm
  19. Maybe the players got too comfortable playing cupcake competition like Nicholl St., LA Tech, and Troy. That they did not know how to adjust and step it up for Big XII play.
  20. That is about the dumbest post I have seen in a LONG TIME! "Slow White Guys"....Very classy! :asshat Get over it.
  21. Despite the numbers on paper, I don't think ZT was feeling it tonight. He should of been picked off at least 2 more times. And that game saving TD to Franz Hardy was underthrown. Thank God that Franz came back to the ball and was able to slip the tackle.
  22. I wish the staff would focus more on recruiting better LB's and DB's instead of another RB. Face it, too many slow white guys on a defense cannot be good.
  23. Seriously. If the energy of the student section could rub off on those old-timers Memorial Stadium would fall apart!!! PS: Booyah! I'm a backup It would be the students get yelled at by the old blue hairs to sit down. It's the stupidest thing I've ever seen. It also sucks that the student section is in the endzone corner. It should be behind the opponents bench.
  24. I'm not talking about how much you like the Huskers. I'm talking about the energy level of MS.
