Make this field goal.

Turn em over. Might be the only way to stop them this drive.

Great stop....Not.

Bust some big ones. Iowa team speed isn’t that great.

Off topic: Who are the announcers for the Nebraska high school football championships on Neb Public TV? They are terrific. I looked everywhere to find their names. That No. 23 for Scottsbluff is a beast. So is Epperson for Skutt, to mention a few notables.
-
I guess I can’t fault the UCF athletic director for pushing this thing to a speedy conclusion regarding a commitment from Frost. A coach they might want to replace Frost could get scooped up before they have a chance to get him on board. Enough dilly dallying already.
-
Why in the world would Frost stay at UCF if Big Red wants him? That makes no sense to me. The upside at NU is beyond measure. Risky, sure. But what if he does what so many others could not?
-
Why the holdup on the Frost announcement? It doesn’t seem to benefit either school, provided the NU hire is a done deal. What am I missing?

Ganz throws a nice ball...it looks easy to catch if that makes sense. He looks like a guy who knows what he's doing. He reminds me of the athletic Van Brownson from the early 1970s.
-
Despite his real or imagined shortcomings as a broadcaster, Rose had an encyclopedic knowledge of Big Red football. I hope the next guy brings that local knowledge to the broadcast booth.

I was hoping for the change after the Missouri game but now grudgingly have accepted that Callahan will finish out the year and then be out. My passion for "heads should roll now" is long gone. Callahan's arrogance, stubborness and bad coaching make him richly deserving to be there for every embarrassing moment in these awful times. It'd be almost unfair to pay him his millions, let him off the hook now and not make him go through this like the rest of us.

1. Schiano
2. Glenn
3. Pelini
4. Kelly

I think that was a silly and irresponsible thing for anyone to write and doesn't accurately represent Husker football fans. Joking about violence in this way is just stupid and cliche.
-
I debated whether to say this or not in here..but...I think they need to get rid of all the coaches and start over period! Can't be any worse than what it is now.
I wish it would have happened after the Missouri game. I'm sure most people are ready to get this season behind us and move forward with a clean slate.
-
Absolutely. Everything is wrong.

I WANT to believe that we have the talent to get close. I thought that a couple of weeks ago. Now? I'm not too sure.
On offense:
QB: Should be a three-way battle between Ganz, Lee, and Witt. I frankly don't know who will win the battle, but I sure hope that the competition brings out the best in the victor.
RB: Helu, Lucky, and Castille. I really think Helu could win the job out of fall camp. He runs harder, and is a good receiver. He just doesn't have the home-run factor that Lucky does. I think a rotation of these three will be fine.
WR: This will be a tough one. Purify and Nunn are gone. Let's hope Paul, Holt, Henry, and Brooks are ready to contribute.
O-Line. We've heard how great Keith Williams and DJ Jones are. Let's see it happen. Javario Burkes is going to be very good. If we can get these three to anchor the line, we might have something.
On defense:
D-Line: Kuli and hopefully Justin Thompson should be starting next year at DE and DT, respectively. I don't know if Kuli will take over for Potter or a disappointing Turner, he needs to play. If we have a D-line of Potter, Suh, Thompson and Kuli, I'm good with it.
LBs: Hallejah, Ruud and McKeon are GONE!!! Dillard will be at Mike, I'd like to see either Stafford or Washington at Will, and Lawrence perhaps at Sam. In any event, this group MUST get more athletic.
DBs: Having Murillo back will be good, and look for Blue or West to win the job opposite him. As for safety, give me Thenarse and Culbert. Asante sucks.
If we have the right coaches, this group could be good and challenge for a Big 12 title. Let's hope TO makes the right call.
i wouldnt mind seeing lucky getting rotated around. play some wr. run wr screens and reverses to him. and of course RB
I like this idea and it was nice to see Lucky break free for a long touchdown run today.

I thought they might try a fake punt late in the game yesterday when we were about midfield.
-
I thought it was interesting earlier this season when OU's Bob Stoops said he thinks his Sooners can compete and have competed well when they didn't have an All-Star QB. Interesting that the Bradford kid can just step in and be good immediately at OU and doesn't need to be endlessly "groomed" for a position. I like that approach much better.
-
I hate losing, but I'm not going to say anything bad about the effort. They did a lot of things a lot better this week. Nice job by Ganz in a tough situation.
-
I'm still a little surprised at his inability to get to the edge.
His best work appears to be in the open field. In the old system he would have been one of the most imposing wingbacks that Nebraska had ever seen. He would have been a solid lead blocker in the option, the reverse field guy, and a receiver on play action.
In a newer offense, his passing ability is good so backwards passes to him from the wingback position would have given him a pass option also and they could use him for quick screens as a heavy wide receiver.
I think he would be much better this year with some solid motivators around him to make him elevate his play even further. He shows tendencies to run harder at times, but it's not always there. Cut backs don't seem to be a strong point which will hurt his NFL chances. Working with a running back like Priest Holmes would be good for him.
Interesting take.

The Missouri loss and the OSU first quarter really took it out of me as far as getting all lathered up and angry. It's too draining to stay in that mode for any length of time. I think I'm in the acceptance phase now and know things are going to change for the better soon.

TO has some Machiavelli in him. As a previous poster said do not underestimate Osborne.

Good job. Thanks.
