Also Slauson moved to 2nd string RT.
-
Looks like he is still visiting, I guess there is still hope.
-
what is your reasoning for that, just because of a loss to Mizzou, we can sell that we need him immediately and will be an instant impact
No not just because of the loss...
-
i don't think Dan McCarney is a good idea at all
Why?
-
Then I think if Callahan goes out to get a new DC, he should consider Mike Stoops then.
or Dan McCarney.
-
I'd like to see the media keep that heat on him at the press conference tomorrow. Hopefully they ask some tough questions, because we need answers.
-
Man we never get any respect from the media!
-
Forget about this guy, I'd put our chances at 1% right now. Trust me.

Keller: (Paraphrased) "Everything went wrong. They came out and played better than us and with more intensity. I take all the blame. We have to be men and move on. I played horrible. I've never had that happen to me before. I don't know why I couldn't get anything going. I didn't do anything to help us when we needed a big play. We can't fall apart, it's a long season."
Sounded pretty down on himself.

Eisenhart saying Mizzou did everything they expected them to do and they just kept doing it and NU couldn't stop it.
-
I was also told that Venables was a coach at NU awhile back( or a low ranking asst.) I dont recall him ever being at NU and I've been watchin the sker's for 35 years now. If Venables was to come here, what better person to scheme against his cousin Bob? ( I think their related?)
God bless Tom Osborne! GBR!!!!!!!!
the guy looks capable and knows how to run a defense.
I'd be happy with that. Only question is if BC has the stones to can his friend.
If he wants to save his job, he'd better have. I'm thinking Elmassian too.
I think it has to be someone from outside the program. Someone needs to bring something new.

JB Phillips is talking now, saying they didn't execute. Says we have a great team and we'll respond. Sounds like the Callahan show all over again.
-
They are now in the player's portion and are talking to Titchner. He said he's helping as much as he can. I wonder if they can get anyone else to talk...
-
3 sounds right to me.

i fear we are about the enter the dark ages...
good analogy. i have a feeling we will be entering a period of time (maybe about 5 years) of .500 football at best. i would like to know peoples predictions of how this will play out in the near future.
Honestly though with the talent we have you would have to try really hard to lose to go .500 or below for more than a season.

You mean it can get worse...crap, I forgot we still have the rest of the season.
And signing day is so far away!

This is a bad idea. This goes against what real husker fandom is all about. This TEAM still needs our support. Say what you want on a message board, but boycotting the stadium will only look us the fans look bad, and send the wrong message to the players. Cmon man.

Ditto! I have been one of the BC defenders but after tonight's game it is evident that he is not the answer for us. BC is in his 4th year and has done nothing but go backwards. I have given him the benifit of the doubt because he didn't have HIS players that he needed in HIS system. He has ZERO excuses now and has yet to win a game vs a top 20 team let alone come back at the half while trailing. It looks like we are STUCK with him for years to come since Pedey pulled a not so wise move in resigning the guy before the season was even over.
He did win against Michigan in the Alamo nbow and if memory serves he beat Pitt his first season..I believe Pitt was ranked at the time...23rd or 25th..but ranked. I'm not saying they were satifying wins....just wins.
Not to nit pick here but I did say TOP 20!
well..one play from beating Texas (number 5 at the time) last year... one field goal from at least an overtime against Auburn (10th at the time)... one play from beating Tech (17th at the time) in his second year if LeKevin has fallen on the ball instead of running.
well, near misses... seems like this team takes 2 steps forward and then three steps back. Like I say, hardly satisfying.
And blowout losses to TT, KU, MU twice, OSU, and I'm sure I'm missing some other "mediocre" teams.
-
they just talked about him taking off his headphones lol
didn't he say he just needed to "clear his head" for awhile. that was priceless.
He looked embarrassed out there. I didn't feel bad for him.

Titchner?

Well I'll start this off. I admit I was a homer, and that was dumb. I for some reason could not see all the signs pointing to this being a tough season. Feel free to sign your name on this thread.
Don't want you as a fan then.
I'm a huge homer!!
GO BIG RED!!!
Wow, maybe we have different definitions of "homer," but that's cool that you don't want me as a fan, I'll be a fan until the day I die, just a more rational one.
"I will be a homer never again."
you're the one who said you will never be a Homer again not me. I'm just agreeing with you and telling you to get lost.
So you interchange the words homer and fan? To me homer means someone that never listens to any criticism of their team, only believing that their team is the greatest thing since sliced bread no matter what the evidence shows. Being a fan and supporting your team is something totally different. JMO
To me they are the same thing. I'm a homer and I'm a fan.
OK, then start calculating ways we can still make it into the National Championship Game. That's what I would be doing after two losses in years past.
-
Well, at least he's bringing in athletes, so if he does go, maybe the next coach can do what Stoops did with Blake's players at Oklahoma.
-
Why are our starters still in this game?
1 injury - especially to Keller - and we're f'd for the whole season.
This game has made me really wonder about this administration.
I was thinking the same thing, but if he took out the starters then some would be saying he's a quiter. So he really can't win I guess. I would have had the second string in there though.

Great now even less people will probably come to the game. I know it's already a sellout but it would be disappointing to see less than 80000 people there.
