  13. A Longhorn and OU fan get into a nasty car accident. Both vehicles are really wrecked, but amazingly neither of them are hurt. After they crawl out of their cars, the OU fan says, "So you're a Longhorn fan, that's interesting. I'm a OU fan... Wow! Just look at our cars. There's nothing left, but fortunately we are unhurt. This must be a sign from God that we should meet and be friends and live together in peace the rest of our days." The Longhorn fan replied,"Totally agree - this must be a sign from God!" The Longhorn fan went on, "And look at this - here's another miracle. My car is completely demolished but this bottle of whisky didn't break. Surely God wants us to drink it, to celebrate the fact we are alive and kicking?" He hands the bottle to the OU fan who nods his head in agreement, opens it and takes few big swigs from the bottle, then hands it back to the Longhorn fan. The Longhorn fan takes the bottle, immediately puts the cap back on, and hands back to the OU fan. The OU fan asks, "Aren't you having any?" The Longhorn fan replies, "Nah...I think I'll just wait for the police......"

  15. Steve Spurrier's walking on the beach the night before the team is to leave for Arizona to play Nebraska in the '96 Fiesta Bowl, and he comes across this really ornate bottle lying in the sand. He picks it up and brushes the sand off and out pops a genie who tells Steve he'll grant him one, and only one, wish. Steve thinks for a minute then says "You know, I've always been interested in great engineering feats. I'd like to have a bridge built from Florida all the way to France, and it'd be called the Steve Spurrier Bridge." The genie immediately starts to hedge. "Steve, that would be nearly impossible, the sheer volume of concrete needed is prohibitive, the sea is thousands of feet deep in spots, lives would be lost... It simply can't be done. You'll have to think of something else - anything else, anything at all." So Steve thought for another minute, then he said with great enthusiasm "Then I want to beat Nebraska, win the national championship, and prove to all the world that a flashy offense, not a sound defense, wins championships." The genie didn't even hesitate a single second before he said "Do you want that bridge two-lane or four?"

  18. A woman got burned bad on her face, and would need skin grafting to repair the damage. None of her skin would work for the surgery, so her husband volunteered his skin. The only skin that would work was from his ass. They decided to go ahead with the surgery, but they made a promise to each other that they would tell no one where the skin came from. The surgery turned out great, and everyone complimented her on how great she looked. One day later on, she was sitting with her husband, and said: I just can't thank you enough for the sacrifice you made for me to make me look beautiful again. Husband: It's thanks enough everytime I see your mother kiss you goodbye.

    Oops...

Ok..so I posted 3 recipes today:) Cajun Candied Bacon-another recipe for it 2 teaspoons vegetable oil 1 cup packed light brown sugar 3/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 pound thinly sliced bacon Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a broiler pan with aluminum foil, and position broiler rack on top of pan. Lightly coat the rack with the vegetable oil. Combine the brown sugar and cayenne in a shallow dish, stirring to mix well. Press 1 side of each slice of bacon firmly into the spiced sugar to coat well. Arrange the slices of bacon on top of the broiler rack in a single layer, sugared-side up. If there is any sugar remaining in the dish, sprinkle it on top of the bacon slices evenly. Bake until the bacon is crisp and the sugar is bubbly, 15 to 20 minutes. Transfer to paper towels to drain briefly, then to a plate or serving dish to cool. (Can be made several hours ahead) Serve warm or at room temperature.

Candied Bacon 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar 2 tablespoons prepared mustard 1 pound thick-cut pork bacon In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, slowly cook bacon until crisp (you'll probably have to do this in batches); drain the fat each time. Remove from pan and place cooked bacon onto paper towels. After draining fat for the last time, reduce heat to low and put all the bacon back into frying pan. Drizzle sugar and mustard mixture over bacon, tossing with a fork to coat. Remove from heat and transfer onto a serving platter. Makes 6 to 8 servings. Crockpot Little Smokies 2 packages cocktail wieners 1 medium bottle chili sauce 1 medium jar grape jelly Combine in crockpot and cook on low 6 to 8 hours.
