The only thing I know is it's going to be interesting
quality post

They muscled all over a team full of 4- and 5-star linemen and linebackers, but sure, Riley's only gonna throw 50 times per game.

Auburn at #7 is hilarious.
- Finished 8-5.
- Lost 4 of their last 5.
- Lost 4 to teams ranked below them.
- Lost 3 games by double-digits, including a 27-point UGA drubbing.
- Lost to Wisconsin (in SEC country) who is now only ranked #18.
Don't even get me started on Arkansas or Tennessee.
0-2 against teams that got beat 58-0.
but that's the recruiting/Muschamp effect.

B!G:
1 - Ohio State 2
6 - Michigan State 9
18 - Wisconsin 25
T32 - Nebraska 20
34 - Minnesota 42
35 - Penn State 37
39 - Illinois 63
T51 - Michigan 35
T51 - Maryland 56
Can argue with that order too much. Other than what am I missing on Illinois?
added their S&P+ projected rankings, for laughs.

Not to be a big buttinski but I need to chime in about Big Red's new coach as a big college football fan.
It seems like Mike Riley was hired as a reaction to the last coach who maybe wasn't very good at the PR part of the head coaching job and maybe not always a "fan's coach." Mike Riley is known as one of the nicest men in college football so he will connect with players and fans in Nebraska straight away.
Now in the meantime, Riley is one great football coach to. He did wonders with a team that never gets good recruits or anything at Oregon State.
And here's the best part of all, Riley has played and knows how to beat BYU. That's all that should matter now. If the coach can crush BYU, he'll be off to a good start. Please beat the Kewgers.
hey, we're just excited his 2012 Oregon State team beat Wisconsin 10-7 the same year they hung 70 on Nebraska.

Riley was a better coach yesterday than Bo, Riley is a better coach today than Bo and Riley will be a better coach tomorrow than Bo. Bo has moved to the level of coaching that he belongs at, just like Solich is at the level he is most suited for.
Based on what?

why, because I'm not blindly following a guy?
You guys should look at yourselves, it's frightening. This dude hasn't won anything here yet. You're all drinking the Jim Jones "he's not Bo" kool aid. You're like the college football version of Al Qaeda...
nope, not "blindly following."
not willing to determine a coach's legacy before his team even takes the field.
take a few deep breaths, maybe a sip of water.

Just curious about our D-line coach. I know he is perceived to be the weakest link on the staff by many on the board, but we rarely, if ever, see or hear anything related to him. Nothing in the press, on the recruiting trail or even from the players he coaches.
What is the story here?
lots of thread starters coming in and dropping unsubstantiated bullcrap like this these days

This could potentially be a big coming out party for a pass-first Riley/Langsdorf offense. They lose five contributors from a secondary on which a lot of teams passed pretty much at will (including Boise State and Utah State, 77% completion for 13.1 yards per attempt). If they want to get Tommy 35-40 attempts I wouldn't be mad about it.

I hope they are as garish as they can possibly be just to watch you all get incontinent with rage.

Miami's, and Louisville's, and UCLA's were all identical save for the colors, so you've probably already seen them.

Your move, Riley.
