I could ride for Tressel + Frost.

Nebraska with Bo is at least a 10 dog to the top 7 Pac12 teams...that excludes stanford, who I don't think NU would want any piece of either
Neb would be a td dog to.....Oregon, ucla, both zona schools, Stanford, I could see Oregon st and USC even money and even UW would be close to even money.
good god man

pretty sure sock puppet is actually shawn eichorst

Other schools would kill to have 9 wins you guys, especially Colorado.
we are not colorado.

We're rapidly reaching Callahan-esque levels of word watching. Nothing any of these coaches say is going to be taken well for the foreseeable future.
Is that due to an irrational fanbase, or that words no longer carry weight with the fanbase given the track record?
A combination of both.
I'm in a weird place where I can see the rationality of all sides here. Barney's right - this is an accomplishment and it's not the worst thing in the world. But those who want his head are right - the bumblery which led us to this particular place cannot go on. The levels of wrong are heavily nuanced.
why do people always say this? why exactly is nine wins such an accomplishment? seems a pretty arbitrary number, especially since nine wins only earned us third place in our division this year. i guarantee you if we'd have fired solich after the 7-7 season in 2002 there wouldn't be any of this "nine win" nonsense.

Is there any chance we get AZ in the bowl game?
Unlikely. Even with a loss to Oregon in the CCG they're probably looking at a New Years Six bowl.

As a fan, being furious isn't going to accomplish anything.
Holding hands and dancing around the maypole won't either.

Everywhere on this board. "We'll be okay!" "It's only the second game of the season!" and all that bullsh#t.You nailed it, Polo, and it astonishes me that many of our fans seem okay with days like today (and all the other meltdowns and near-meltdowns).
Really? Where are you seeing that?
I don't see that as people being OK with what happened today, or any of the other replicas of today in the past six seasons. I see that as people just wanting to be fans and positive about the team.
No Nebraska fan should not be furious after today.

I'm out of +1s, too many good posts in this thread. Also Michigan State made changes after their mediocre start, what in season changes can Nebraska do to fix some things?
Bo will not change a dang thing and we all know it.

People overreacted last week. More people will overreact this week.So back to the pre-season injuries and our S&C program with two games in the books.
Anyone think our S&C is up to par after getting manhandled by McNeese at the LOS. We got owned. AA was getting killed. We averaged 290+ across the OL. They had not one guy that big.
Throw in the injuries in camp, lack of speed and strength..........
*add JT with the torn achilles
perhaps, but last week was the exception. this week is the norm.

I know moral victories are bullcrap, but golly, you guys won this game. Outplayed, outmuscled, outschemed us for 59 minutes and 40 seconds. Good game, Cowboys, and good luck with the rest of your season.
-
At least overreaction is alive and well.
It's one game fellas - and we managed to pull out the win. Am I frustrated with the performance? Of course. Was the right focus and effort out there? No. Could this be indicative of the Huskers playing poorly going forward? Sure, but we won't know until we play those games. Games like this happen, and the Huskers might actually benefit from watching this film.
if this was the first time we had such a game under Bo I'd agree with you.
but this is year seven. and Bo's teams do this multiple times per year.

I'd say we learned that Bo, Paps, and Beck have no business coaching this team, but we knew that already.

Seriously. We're tied 24-24 right now but even if we win, tell us all about how Bo's got the program headed in the right direction, and how now that Taylor Martinez is gone the offense is better, and about how this is the best defense we've had since 2009, and about how 2013 shouldn't count because of injuries, and all that other dreck.

it's okay guys, Bo is nice now.

Isn't it nice to be concerned about rankings again?

When the ball is on the one inch line why do they always place it a foot or two from the zone?

but i thought they'd shut down ameer

Armstrong has gotten too cozy throwing it within fifteen yards of Westerkamp and just assuming he'll get it.

Beck and Paps got a good foundation going, I think we keep everyone and see what a new head man can do with the pieces in place.
lol jk clean house. Kaz and Brown could stay, but I won't shed a tear if they don't.
