Iowa st really looks like sh#t right now. I am really surprised how well army is able to run on them.

Does the Depth chart change at all with this week off. I would not mind seeing more of Bowman in the defense, as well as more of the young talent on offense. Seeing Glen rush the ball sat was great. I really think he could do some damage. I would really like to see more formations with a fullback. I think that could take some pressure off the line and Taylor. I always liked the handoff to the fullback. Always was good for 3 to 4 yards. Something like that could have changed things greatly these past games. Curious to hear thoughts on the off week, practice and any possible movements.

IMO all the offense needs to do is not make huge mistakes and hang on to the ball. It is getting better that is what I want to see. The defense looks great and I think they are for real. IF Taylor and co can just eliminate those mistakes such as turnovers and too many dropped balls then I think they will be fine and have a shot at the north. I think this year we can ride our defense for most of the season. If they keep improving they will be reliable at the end of the year not great but effective. It is still a transition year, improvement is waht we should be calling for.

could not agree more, the crowd has really been lackluster. Being told to sit at the first play of the line of scrimmage is ridiculous. If my fat ass can stand the whole game why can't other people. I was dissappointed in the game and maybe my expectations are high, but so are my expectations for the crowd. I was there with my friends that all put in at least an 8 hour trip to memorial stadium. I better be allowed to stand and yell, if I want to seet I will stay home with my couch and banana splits.

I really did not like the replay, not just because it went agaisnt nu most of the game but the game was well over 3 and a half hours. It took the crowd out of the game, and cancelled any momentum either team was trying to build. I have always hated instant replay I alwasy like an elemnet of human error even if it does hurt my team some times, I think that is good for the game. If there is instant replay I think it needs to changed to more nfl style where plays are only reviewed when challenged. There were challenges on simple 5 yard plays that really did not have that much affect on the game. I payed money and drove to Lincoln from Chicago to watch the players not refs watch the game. Pile that on the lackluster play of the game made the trip a little disappointing. Then I went to O st to rebound. College girls can cure almost anything.

Well it is over, I am surprisingly relieved. I just do not want to watch this team anymore this year. I was sick of the square pegs in round holes trying to make things happen, whether it was playing man defense without a pass rush, or watching a qb who throws better on the run being forced to stay in the pocket. All I can say about this year is that it was all about transition. The coaches need to adjust, as do the players, they took very painful first steps this season. Even as I was watching games, I found myself talking to friends about future recruits, and upcoming schedules in future seasons. That always seemed to be the good news about this team was the future. Grades for the team Offense C Joe Dailey is not the quarterback for this offense, I am still puzzled why we did not let him roll out more and let hime either run or throw to one or two options. He seemed very similar to Brad Smith. Cory Ross and all the running backs were great, glad we have all of them coming back, would like to see Horne at wr or wingback. Offensive line was a pleasant surprise, and the receivers and tight ends showed progress, still would like to see some taller receivers out there though. Bill Callahan needs to get the play our faster, and I am not sure we need all this movement, overall though I think Callahan is the right guy for the job and will make adjustments Defense D 0 pass rush that is just inexcusable, We need some better lineman to make any defense work. I was really disappointed on the lack of leadership on this side of the ball they seemed to quit way to early in the game. You should not need any other motivation besides that N on your helment Kevin Cosgrove gets another year from me. I did not like his schemes this year, but I still think a pass rush would have changed a lot of things. We also need some bigger db's that can play with the new bread of receivers. Players b- It is encouraging how young we are but some of these guys really need to sack up and ignite that fire that is Nebraska Football Coaches B Difficult transition to make but I think we have the right guy to do it. I think he will adjust and I am excited as hell about all these recruits. Overall glad it is over, 8 months until next season

I was at the ISU game this weekend and while I agree with you eric I had some observations. I sat 20 rows behind the Huskers bench and saw a few things that really disturbed me. Kevin Cosgrove is totally inept as DC. Time and time again did they have to run a player off the field after a time out or a kick return to avoid a penalty. The defense was looking at the sideline the whole time looked confused constantly. Hard to be excited when we have this guy conrtolling the defense. Especially when for the first time all year the offense played well enough to win. There was a lack of fire on the bench, someone on this team needs to step up, I saw no helmet throws or anything on the bench, that game should have sparked some emotion somewhere. Sandro Deangelis is un real. Dyches must have really pissed off Callahan to be not kicking now. Special teams really needs to be addressed in the next season. Special teams alone took of 7 points from the score board. Joe Dailey may not be the qb of the future but his receivers do not help him out at all. He gets a lot of blame when I think a lot of it needs to be spread on to his receivers as well. Callahan needs to get the play in faster, way to many delay of game penalties and unnecassary timeouts. My feelings in short the offense is making progress Dailey is getting better, the defense is getting worse and I am scared for what will continue to happen wiht cosgrove in charge.

I think the defense turned a corner, I still look at this team and I am amazed at how young they are, I do not think they need McBride every week but this was the perfect time for some old timers to remind them of what that N on their helmet stands for. I really like Joe Daily but I am starting to think his days are numbered, it is too bad good kid just set up to fail.

I have no idea what to call it but a a complete f#*k up by the coaching staff. Joe Daily was not ready for those plays Callahan was calling I think this game might completely ruin Daily's confidence. I have no idea what Cosgrove was doing with only a three man rush. Just a ridiculous game. That team looked outworked, out coached, and just flat out out executed. Very frustrated those athletes deserved better. When did Tech start getting better athletes than nebraska

I agree with most of what you said earlier Eric, the season is what it is, a transition year with young players at the skill positions. Not quite the recruiting Callahan needs yet but it is coming along. I still feel like at any time the offense could all of a sudden click. The people I really question right now are the coaches Why not run it more when you are ahead and time is running off the clock. Is this offense more complicated then it needs to be Are we always playing to our strengths Why cant we get the play off faster Still feeling a lot better about this program then I have in the past, we might have a couple steps backwards before we leap forward. Like Isaid it is what it is.

Sorry but I just can not handle firing a coach who had 9 wins this season. I for one thought things were heading inthe right direction. I do not know who they can get outside of the program next year. What bothers me the most is the way this was handled. Piss poor by pederson. He needs to get his sh#t together. Still a fan but a little embarrassed. More thoughts when I am sober. Tim
