Unless Turner simply doesn't enjoy the duties of head coach, there's no way he will want to take a lesser role, even if it's at a bigger program. He's doing pretty damn well at Buffalo, and if his wife wasn't white, he might be the head coach at Auburn as we speak (sad but probably true).

 

I think Turner should keep doing his thing, he will make a good head coach at a BCS school sometime in the next 2-3 years. And (god forbid) if Bo ever leaves for OSU, Turner can come in as head coach.

Smashmouth football baby!!! Some people at my work where going to wear purple shirts to work today to be wise asses. I hope they are wearing them when I get to work so I can laugh in their faces.

I don't know that the final score is always a reflection of the way his defense has played. For example, last night, 7 of Alabama's points were on a punt return, and Flynn threw 3 INTs that gave them great field position. That's been a problem for LSU lately--giving the ball up and spotting the other team great field position. There's only so much a D can do when the other team gets that many shots near your red zone.

 

And when the team needed a big play, the defense was there every time in the 4th quarter. Those players are motivated to make plays at all costs. We need a monster safety like Steltz at UNL. Did anybody see his "game-winning" hit last night??

 

Very true. It wasn't Pelini's defense that gave up the ball to Alabama. See the 4th quarter like captain obvious says. Especially the last few minutes. That is a nasty, hungry, motivated defense.

Why is everyone getting so worked up? I just stated facts. We beat Ball State by 1. Ball State lost to Miami of Ohio 14-13. Colorado beat Miami of Ohio 42-0. That doesnt say alot about Ball State now does it.

 

Maybe it means that Colorado is getting better (as much as I hate to admit it). They too hung 600+ yards on their opponent. Ran the ball well and passed well and with efficiency.

They are looking improved, but I still wonder in the back of my mind if Cody Hawkins can hold up all season.

I think the fans should have bood themselves for being such a quiet crowd. There are times when the crowd can give the team or certain players that extra boost. When you go to a game and can still talk afterwords you did not do your job as a fan.

 

STAND UP AND BE FRICKIN LOUd. These are our beloved Huskers and they need us to do our part and make the enviroment as hostile as possible for visiting teams.

I just did, and I turned the recievers ability way up for SC, We kept it close at half 14-10 SC. Asante forced a fumble on the opening kickoff of the second half. I used quick three step drops, and a couple bubble screens to to drive down the field, then a linebacker bit on a play action bootleg, and I hit Swift in the corner of the endzone. 14-17 Neb, then after a quick three and out by USC, Keller throws his 3rd interception an out route jumped by the USC safety. The pick quickly lads to Grixy getting drg into the endzone on a quick hitting crossing route, frickin blitzed!! 21-17 SC. Keller gets picked going deep again. Grixby misses a tackle 28-17. I drive down the field and score on Glenn's dive, 28-24 but miss the on-side kick!SC uses the good field position to drive down the field on my tired D-line, and scores late 35-24 USC. Hiesman mode is tough man!

P.S. Lets not let that happen tommorow! I will be there yell, yell, scream, and never stop!!!!
