  1. "The reality is when you buy into these organizations, you have these restrictions in place," Hellmuth said. "You should know what you're getting into."

That sums up the whole post. You shouldn't expect that you can violate the rules of your condo asosciation, regardless of how stupid you think the rule is.

  2. Thanks for replying...I've always wanted to get up to the upper peninsula, either of you two ever been up that way? POssible looking for a vacation home a few years from now.

i've never been to the UP. if i were in the market for a michigan vacation home, i would look around traverse city. it is "up north," as they say, and traverse city has an airport with regular flights, and the city is big enough to get what you need. but maybe you are looking for something on the other side of lake michigan...

  3. ive heard the cotton bowl stadium is a dump. i dont understand that because then why would oklahoma-texas play there?

my guess is that it is a dump because they only play two games there a year. texas vs. oklahoma and the cotton bowl. not a lot of money to go back into the stadium from just two games...

  4. i understand that some people, particularly those in law enforcement, are predisposed to believe that other police do not use excessive force. a lot of non-law enforcement people believe that too. that is why it is significant that a jury found excessive force. and i guarantee you that the police in this case, and every other police brutality case, presented an expert witness at the trial to explain what is reasonable and unreasonable use of force. it would be malpractice for the lawyer representing the police not to present such an expert. the jury still believed that the police used excessive force even after hearing from the expert. so we are back to where i began, the jury believed that the police used excessive force, but awarded only $1 in damages. that's crap.

  5. cold. very cold. please don't buy these anyone...

Evening,,,I was trying to give a Big12 team the opportunity to purchase tickets to support their team in the Cotton Bowl. Congrats to Nebraska for getting this far.

My team, Texas A&M, did not make it that far.

    Again Congrats!

Not trying to make a profit, just trying to sell reasonable to fans who would enjoy watchig "their" team!

    :-)

whatever. you're posting this before the game is even over. that's why its low class.

  6. You probably don't want to drive all the way, but there i a bar in the city at Lincoln Ave and Armitage that plays Nebraska games, and usually has a very big turnout of Nebraska fans. Can't think of the name of it, but I could find it if, by chance, you are interested.

  7. no, we don't actually know what happened, but it is obvious from the fact that damages were awarded that the jury believed the police did something wrong. the jury COULD NOT award damages if it believed the police did nothing wrong. so you have the jury saying the police used excessive force, but giving only nominal damages because they injured party is a bad person. that is stupid, because surely you would agree, that the police shouldn't be allowed to needlessly beat up people regardless of the crime they have committed. the police are supposed to be better than the criminals they are arresting...

  8. Personally, I think the guy got screwed. The jury must have believed his story, because they awarded him damages. But they must have also just decided that he didn't "deserve" real damages because he is a bad guy. That is stupid. The police do not have the right to abuse a guy just because he has done (or more appropriately, at the point, was accused of doing something) that is a heinous crime.

  9.

Their defensive front 7 appears they could shut down our running game... for awhile. I think the OU secondary is suspect, though. If we make them respect the pass, that will open things up on the ground.

I think you're right. Our big problem is our defensive line vs. our offensive line (and to a lesser extent our secondary vs. their receivers). If our offensive line is getting dominated on our first offensive series, then Callahan needs to go to the pass, quickly, to try to open up the running game.

  10. I don't begrudge a fan of arguing that their undefeated team should be in the national championship game. That's not to say that i think Boise State is worthy of being in the championship game -- the likelihood of OU or us killing them in the Fiesta Bowl is pretty high. Anyway, they are not used to success, so its not surprising that a lot of fans are less than classy....
