  1. I think you guys are dreaming if you think Tommy won't be the QB next year. Unless POB turns out to be Peyton Manning in a husker uniform, we aren't gonna see him till 2017.

This. Tommy will be the starter next year, so I'd stop thinking about the freshman or anyone else. Tommy knows the system the Best, and he's apparently the Best option we have.

POB will have to learn the offense, the phrasing, build chemistry with the receivers and OLine. Tommy has all of that. The coaches will not upset that. Mark my words.

This is coming from a fan who is silently wishing for Tommy to be benched, all while full-well knowing he won't be.

  2. I actually was tutored at QB by Former Idaho Vandal, Now Chicago Bear QB Nathan Enderle, and that was at the same High School that Danny Woodhead came from(I graduated with his younger brother actually.) and We played against now Husker I-Back Collins Okafor while he was still at Omaha Westside. In High School that dude had UNREAL speed. And actually, I THINK (I'm not 100% sure here) I played against Jared Crick at one point. We played Cozad for a JV Game and since we were a class up, it was some of their varsity team, and he was one of them. Also played one game against Jim Ebke while he was still a High School QB.

  3. Secondary fail. No surprise there, sadly. They're going to have to improve rapidly this season. Dennard won't be enough by himself.

Dennard won't be enough by himself, agreed. But of the games so far, and in this game to this point, notice they DON'T tend to throw at Ciante Evans, They throw constantly at Cassidy/Green. Once Dennard comes back, it SHOULD (Hopefully) shore up that side of the Secondary.

  4. Why would Watson even want to stick around if we were trying to replace him? Hey Watson, were going to have to let you go. Nevermind, the other guy turned us down. I don't think Watson or anybody else for the matter would put up with that. If we are looking for a new OC, he's gone. Even if we can't get our first choice.

I'm a Die-hard husker fan, and also a Miami Dolphins fan, This quote reminds me of the coaching crap the Fins went through this year. I mean, they searched for a new Head Coach while Sparano(the current head coach) was still under contract AS the head coach. And I agree, with you. Except for the fact that Miami KEPT Sparano after getting spurned by the other coaching candidates. I could see Watson staying if we get spurned by all the other candidates Pelini is "looking at" right now.

  5. I have to go with the previously mentioned Cody hand off to Roy Insta-tackle. Now idk if I read it right, but as I was watching the play, the linebacker/D-End, whomever it was that hit Roy, was waiting for Roy to get the ball, had Cody pulled the ball and kept it, he had a lane right up the left side about the size of a truck, and that lane was vacated by that linebacker/DE. Am I saying that Cody would've gotten much? No, The tackler very well could've made the play on Cody, that's just what I saw.

  6. Only two things have me questioning the whole "Zac Lee" thing, are:

A ) I heard during one of the games, can't remember if it was from Greg Sharpe and the guys on the radio, or on one of the television broadcasts(Sorry, couldn't find a link on it, but I know I heard this somewhere); is that Zac Lee was originally a baseball player and had never played QB before, He got his first experience at QB at the JUCO he transferred from, So, if that is True, Isn't he pretty much still learning the QB position too?

    and

B ) If his injury was so bad that it WAS effecting our ability to win games, the coaches would have taken him out, because they wouldn't have risked further injury to him, and would have let Cody Green or Latravis Washington play because they were healthy, if we lost games, it would have been because they didn't play well. So I'm curious as to just HOW BAD that injury really was.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Green or Washington was a better option, or that Lee isn't tough, in fact I think he's tougher than I would have guessed. Now I'll give him a game or two to prove if the injury really was the difference, but I just have that thought in the back of my head about it that i mentioned earlier.

Oh, and take A for what it's worth. I know I heard it though, because I was VERY confused about why HE was starting when we had Green, who apparently was the only Non-Redshirted, Active QB, that came out of High School playing QB. But I Trust in the coaches so I wasn't, and won't argue. I just wanted to throw my opinion out there. Feel Free to correct me or anything :)

  7. Oh come on...it's obvious the guy is a moron from the very first. Look at his QB picks....I mean Lewis and Tuiama over guys like the LeFevour kid out of Central Michigan or Holbrook at NM State? How come he blows off every single player at BYU like Max Hall? Where's Kevin Smith from UCF in the running back column? How about Ray Rice out of Rutgers?

It's obvious from these rankings that this guy is more interesting in earning a shot on ESPN than writing a well thought out football article....

Both Kevin Smith, and Ray Rice were taken in the NFL Draft this year, that's why they are not on there :)
