Anyone received their season tickets yet? With football arriving last week, its only a matter of time until volleyball comes!
-
Beautiful. Nice! Looks fine.
More improvements: (wishful thinking)
- Extra HuskerVision
- Remove four video screens .... now see traditional pillars and inscribed "Not the victory but the action; Not the goal but the game; In the deed the glory"
- Plant 4'D x 3'W x 360'L box hedges a.l.a. Georgia stadium (another HB thread). Red fences was kinda like construction barriers.
- Put two giant 50' tall Lil'Red inflatable statues adjacent to HuskerVision (just kidding!)
The four screens are needed for people who cannot see the big screen. If you are far up enough in the North, or under overhangs you cannot see the big screen. The screens are needed.
That's why he said make another big screen in South Stadium.
And even if that is still there if you are under the overhang you still won't be able to see it. I like the idea of moving the screens, though I don't know how realistic that would be. Don't get me wrong, I love the inscriptions. Now that I think about that, aren't the inscriptions facing out from the playing field?

It also depends on what game you want to go to. If you are looking at going to the biggest away game of the season, it's going to be tough. If you are willing to travel farther to a less in demand game, your chances are better.

The new system will improve our ticketing process.
Which is code for "this is a new idea to make the customer do more work, like the self checkouts at walmart"
I personally like this idea. When I put in for ticket upgrades in the past I always wished i could have had more input. This has the potential to be a good thing. I don't know how the blue hairs will grasp this concept, then again they are the ones that don't usually need the upgrade.

Thank you for this link. I could not find it when I searched.

In the season ticket renewal, and in the article about spring game tickets, they talk about Nebraska's new Seat Yourself ticketing program. Has anyone seen anything about that, or know anything about that?
-
Thanks

Anyone know why Kelly was in a boot against Penn State? Also, I wasn't in attendance but watching on TV. Was she there for the last two games?
-
There was a guy trying to sell tickets outside the Northwestern game. He wanted $50 a piece for the tickets and quote "I gotta make a living too." So good luck with picking them up from people. I don't want this to sound like a stereotype, but I usually look for older folks who are selling tickets. They seem to not be price gougers and just want to sell the tickets. The hardest part for you will be getting the seats together. Good luck!

And she started tonight, so thanks for the solid info!

If I am not mistaken, I believe it was just to give her a night off and showcase more Hall and Keil at MB.
If you're going to rest someone, or give another player a live audition, Iowa is your best opportunity.
Both very good points. After watching the game replay on my DVR in one timeout in particular she looked MAD. I hope there isn't something deeper and you two are right.
-
She did not start last night and was in warmup pants for the entire match. Anyone hear anything about her status?
-
The two things that hurt her, imo, are her blocking skills and the inability to put away sets not 100% in her wheelhouse.
I also seem to remember her serving into the net quite a few times last year. I realize that may not be her forte, but I remember them coming at some awful times last year. Maybe this has something to do with her not being in the rotation.

Do our ladies throw the bones on blocks or something? I've never noticed.
The crowd shouts, "Roof!Roof!Roof!" after stuff blocks. The girls just huddle and get ready for the next play.
My guess is this question was in response to the setters throwing the bones in the video. The response would be....I have no idea why they did that in the video.

I remember someone saying there was a delay in printing the volleyball tickets, but has anyone heard an update or received theirs yet? My football tickets came days after a friends, because I just figured they would have my volleyball tickets with them, but nothing.
They'll be sent out this week as per the ticket office rep I talked to today.
Great to hear. Thank you!

Yep, my map in my season ticket book shows visitors at the top of section 605. I probably would have requested NOT to sit in that section if I had known that.
Oh well. Still should be good seats, and maybe we will meet some great visitors.
I wonder if the university didn't have enough season ticket requests for the balcony and this is their solution? That might be why it was not published before sending out tickets. Just a theory.

Mine didn't come today. Here's hoping for tomorrow

According to the Huskers twitter account the tickets for Football and Volleyball will be mailed out later this week!

I got my poster in the mail yesterday....still no tickets though

IIRC they came out right around fan day in years past. I'm definitely antsy this year.
If Bo is let go - who could Nebraska get

Doesn't any school that hires Tressel as a football coach have to have some sanctions dealing with Tattogate? Plus, why would he leave the job of being President, or whatever, of a school? Thats a cushy job for someone that old. I don't really see him going back into coaching ever.
