I don't care what anyone says.....marlon is our best player.
NO ONE can convince me that ANYONE on the defense even deserves to be in the top 5.
Sam has shown signs of brilliance, but....I was at the A&M game.....he did anything BUT impress me
Mo may have a case.....but how can we be sure?? since he never gets the ball.
Marlon is our best player. Hands down.

Ok, I literally pulled off the freeway to write this. My source called and said this.
We all know TO is being announced todayin 8 minutes the official release will come out. The 5:15 press conference is to have him lay out his plans.
He won't say this but PELINI is their main focus and they want to Keep Watson as OC.
Also, Buffet DID pay off salaries and is giving $40 MIL to payoff the TO Center. Bank it!!!!
uh.... 8 mins is well gone... did you mean we won't hear until 5:15.... I'm confused about what was supposed to happen at 3:00
Was TO actually announced and I missed it?
A press release was released earlier in the day. The official press conference was at 5:15.

Wow, thanks for the advice. I am from Topeka, I just haven't lived there for the last 10 years or so. Thats a big time bummer that i won't be able to watch it or even buy it. Thanks for all of your help!

There is no way that this is the truth. I know he is struggling, and our team is struggling...and I am not a fan of his AT ALL, but I don't think he would PURPOSELY ruin us.
I think he would be reluctant to give up play calling because he TRULY BELIEVES that he knows more than Watson.

I don't want Callahan fired at this point. Nor do I think about his replacment on a regular basis, but I do think if we had to go after another coach it would be Chris Peterson of Boise State. Got to love a young fiesty coach like him...the bowl game vs OU last year says it all.

I have a hard time believing he would come here. Why leave a cupcake conference, where you are guaranteed to lose 1 or 2 games at most, and your job will always be secure?? ESPESCIALLY to come here where your job could not be FARTHER from secure.
His stress level would certainly go WAY up if he came to Nebraska.
One thing we can offer him that Boise St. probably can't.........

I actually agree that we could be LOST without Keller next year. Excluding special teams(adi) Sam has been the lone bright spot on the team (maybe lucky as well).
If Sam, after 3 years of playing college football, started as slow as he did this year.....just imagine what the beginning of next year is going to be like with ANOTHER brand new quarterback.....who HASN'T played 3 years of D1 college football already.

it is CERTAINLY not out of the question that either Brandon Thompson or Baker Steinkuhler could play defensive line. We would definitely still take Trevor. If not, we would have asked this kid to wait until Trevor decides.

I am a KU graduate.......and I couldn't care less about their football team. Even if KU is undefeated and looking great.......I still root for the Huskers alone!

Chris had an INT for a TD on Monday Night Football. He batted one of Romo's passes AND caught it in the endzone for a TD.
Anyone else notice he is wearing the Captain "C". I had no idea he was doing so well.

I do not believe Callahan hired Cosgrove simply BECAUSE they are friends. In coaching you HAVE to win, so I don't think that he would put his own success in jeopardy to help a friend....a friend who had a pretty good job before he was hired here.
I think that Callahan really thought Cosgrove would give him the best chance for success....period.....or he would not have hired him. Now that may be because they know each other well and Bill figured that they would work well together....but of course he was trying to make a decision that would increase his chance for success.
And i really think this is MORE of a problem than if he would have hired him ONLY because they were friends. He made a very poor business decision when he hired Cosgrove. It shows a lack of judgment and the inability to make these types of decision.

Petrino would be as good of a coach as we could possibly get. He is having trouble in the NFL right now, and some say he is losing his team.......I say we sneak in and snatch him up.
NO WAY rich rodriguez leaves WVU for Nebraska, so quit bringing that up. He turned down the Alabama job to stay there....he is not coming here.
Schiano is not coming here either. He has all of NYC to pull talent from, and turned down Miami last offseason.
NO BIG NAME GUY is going to leave their school and come to Nebraska. Right now we are a bottom of the BIG12 north team.....we probably couldn't even convince Mangino to come to Nebraska. although he would be a great hire for us. He has taken KU from the freakin dumps to #20 and rising.
I think that the best idea is to hire a young coordinator from one of the major programs, and hope to get lucky. There is certainly no person out there that we will hire and everyone will feel good about. No one with that quality of a reputation would put his reputation on the line here.
It has to be some young guy who is eager to prove everyone wrong........
I hate to say it but we need a "Ron Prince" kind of guy.

I would say that you are spot on. I believe he is our BEST PLAYER. I really do not think he is our best running back, and I do not think he is our best receiver.
