I'm sure it was because of snow cover on the ice. The pond was stocked 3 1/2 years ago, so we were hoping this year would be some good fishing. He called the DNR yesterday. Hopefully they have some good news for us. This is the first year he didn't clear the snow for an 'ice rink'.....I'm sure that had something to do with it. Sucks.

Who cares. He's gone. Move on.

The head coach shouldn't be responsible for banning players from bars/drinking. It should be up to the players themselves to sacrifice boozing so they can concentrate of football/workouts/success.

I am anticipating the release of the pre-season college football magazines!!! I pre-order the LINDY'S Big 12 one every year. Then there is also NCAA 09's release as well to kind of help distract me!

Bah...compared to what? I mean, if the goal is to win a National Championship, I'm pretty sure all of em are going to fail. Therefore they all get F's for next year. If the goal is to do better than last season, I assume that KU and MU probably won't have as good of records next year as last year which, in turn, means they will get F's but ISU could win 4 games, losing 8 and still get an A because their record improved...

 

Letter grades are politically incorrect anyway...they make the losers feel bad and ruin their self-esteem. Instead of letter grades, use flowers or smiley faces like they do in the surreal world of today's education system

Each team should get a different colored ribbon at the end of the year......with no indication of a grade or place. Just an 'atta boy' for finishing the season. That would make educators proud.......

I was up there Sunday.........holy cold!!!! The fishing boat isn't out of storage yet, so we took the duck boat up......turns out a trolling motor is pretty vital to successful fishing up there. About 10 other boats....the fish weren't jumping in their boats either. Saw a few being caught here and there, but nothing to write home about.

Getting suspended because he couldn't avoid being arrested and, as rumor has it, couldn't learn the playbook meet my guidelines as a 'bust'.

No doubt the guy made some good plays, but his potential was thru the roof. I guess you can blame some of it on coaching, but it ultimately comes down to the kid.

I would have to say it is the other way around....I think they invented basketball so the fairies in the old time would have something to play when they were not strong enough to be in wrestling....
