  1.

    Most are back?

Chris Ellis and Vince Hall are gone, and Brandon Flowers is a junior but would get drafted pretty highly if he wanted to leave. With Adibi those are probably the four best starters on their defense and all NFL caliber players they're losing.

I am sorry about the post. It seems that they are gone except Flowers. However, offense is back and look at VAtech over the years about their defense. Just lock and load.

  2. I think it's too early to say how our season is going to go considering how high everyones expectations were this year and what the end results were. <_<

Its easy to say, because of the schedule, that we will have at least 5 wins by the time we meet Oklahoma. San Jose State, New Mexico State, Western Michigan, Iowa State, Baylor.

  3. tyrod taylor is going to be scary good next season, going to be a serious issue for any team, plus with the way beamer is going to use him next year...

Knowing that he is the heir apparent at QB, he will be there as an x-factor according to how they use him. I think VAtech will be a NC team next year. The defense loses Adibi, but most are back.

  4.

i believe we beat V. Tech. i am thinking that they lose 6 starters on D. and a couple on O. and their D has been their strong point, by far. i could however see losing to MU, but i think it could go either way. we will then likely lose to OU, which sucks, but they will be good. :box

I think that Missouri loses key players and VATech will be a NC team next year. Of most teams, they are younger and have experience that show their 11-2 record with a ACC championship.

  5. Here is how it will fall next year.

vs. San Jose State - Win

    2007 record: 5-7

Wins: Utah State, UC-Davis, Idaho, New Mexico State, Nevada

Key Starters Graduating: Adam Tafralis QB 252yds/gm, Jacob French RB 83 yds/gm

Key Starters Returning: Kevin Jurovich WR, David Richmond WR

vs. New Mexico State - Win

2007 record: 4-9 (wow, 13 regular season games)

Wins: SE Louisiana, UTEP, AK-Pine Bluff, Idaho

Key Starters Graduating: Justine Buries RB

Key Starters Returning: Chase Holbrook QB, Tonny Glynn RB

    Their website sucks for stats!

vs. Virginia Tech - Loss (close but no cigar)

    2007 record: 11-2

2008 Games B4 Nebraska: at E. Carolina, vs. Furman, 1 week off B4 NU

Key Starters Graduating: Xavier Adibi LB, Josh Morgan WR, Justin Harper WR

Key Starters Returning: Branden Ore RB, Tyrod Tyler QB-RB, Sean Glennon QB, Eddie Royal WR, Vince Hall LB, Brandon Flowers CB

A young VT 11-2 team could be dangerous.

vs. Western Michigan - Win (watch out for this one)

    2007 record: 5-7

Wins: Central Connecticut State, Toledo, Northern Illinois, Iowa, Temple

Key Starters Graduating: Mark Bonds RB 63yds/gm, Herb Martin WR 39yds/gm

Key Starters Returning: Tim Hiller QB 252yds/gm, Brandon West RB 71yds/gm, Jamarko Simmons WR 82yds/gm, Branden Ledbetter TE 46yds/gm, Londen Fryar CB (all-MAC 1st team - 2 years)

    vs. Missouri - Win (barely)

    2007 record: 11-2

2008 Games B4 Nebraska: Illinois(St. Louis), vs. SE Missouri, vs. Nevada, vs. Buffalo

Key Starters Graduating: William Franklin x-WR, Tyler Luellen LT. Adam Spieker C, Martin Rucker TE, Tony Temple RB

Key Starters Returning: Chase Daniels QB, Chase Coffman TE, Jeremy Maclin WR

They will lose alot of key players on offense, but the defense will return 9 starters.

at Texas Tech - Win (if Leach bolts to UCLA, otherwise a possible LOSS)

    2007 record: 8-4

2008: Mike Leach will hopefully be the coach at UCLA

Key Starters Graduating: Danny Amendola WR

Key Starters Returning: Graham Harrell QB, Michael Crabtree WR, Eric Morris WR, Shannon Woods RB

    at Iowa State - Win

    2007 record: 3-9

Wins: Iowa, Kansas State, Colorado (all at home)

Key Starters Graduating: Bret Meyer QB, Todd Blythe WR,

Key Starters Returning: JJ Bass RB 51yds/gm, Marquis Hamilton WR 46yds/gm

    vs. Baylor - Win

Its Baylor. I said all I need to say.

So, 8-1 or 7-2 by the time we meet Oklahoma in Norman. Either way, we will be bowl eligible and have the Big 12 Championship in sight. We must improve on defense, all of us would agree. We must keep our current scoring on offense with Joey Ganz. Ohterwise, its a long season and we ALL know this.
