    Looks like Scarlet and Cream.

Before 1900, Nebraska football teams were known by such names as the Old Gold Knights, Antelopes, Rattlesnake Boys and the Bugeaters. In its first two seasons (1890-91), Nebraska competed as the Old Gold Knights, but beginning in 1892, Nebraska adopted Scarlet and Cream as its colors and accepted the Bugeaters as its most popular nickname until the turn of the century. Named after the insect-devouring bull bats that hovered over the plains, the Bugeaters also found their prey in the Midwest, enjoying winning campaigns in every year of the 1890s until a disappointing season in 1899.
  2. Ive got really good seats for the game (i live here in mo) and I really hope we start playing better!!!

so do I, so do I at least the playing good part

Looks like Hannah may have run into Kellen Huston according to the LJS Blog

    Hannah out for Mizzou

Missouri senior point guard Stefhon Hannah will miss 4 to 6 weeks after breaking his jaw in an early Sunday-morning altercation at a Columbia bar.

That's a big blow for the Tigers, and maybe a break for the Huskers, who play Missouri in Columbia on Wednesday. Hannah is Mizzou's leader in points (14.5) assists (105) and three-point shooting (38.5 percent).

Hannah has been upgraded to good condition.

  3. Brown is about to be an Aggie. Look for him to announce very soon.

Sounds like they missed out on that Bama recruit and Eric Harper (former NU commit) won't qualify so they offered. Maybe they are expecting him to be automatic. Still not confirmed.

His family does want him to stay close to home though. Hopefully, the lack of love shown to him by TAMU will keep him N. But, it doesn't look good.

  4. NEVER let this kid step OUTSIDE.......... shuttle him through tunnels and sky-walks and show him Memorial Stadium from the sky boxes........ the DAYTIME HIGH TEMP. IS ONLY GOING TO BE 8 DEGREES !!!!!!

Build a friggin' fire, and don't let him near a window.....

    C'mon Bo.....get this kid to NU !!!!!

We have stumbled upon worst part about losing Callahan. The lack of all that hot air in Lincoln.

  5. Did they not have one this week? I missed the show on Thursday and didn't see it on the podcast.

they didn't...this was the first week that they didn't have one...I think they are going to leave well enough alone...unfortunately for us...

They had Callahan do one stage of the five stages of death according to the Kübler-Ross model each week. I think they are done. Anger, Denial, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance. Not sure of the order.

    Spano: Tulsa out of picture

Quarterback Kody Spano will decide his college future next week, according to The Oklahoman newspaper.

Spano, who will visit the Nebraska campus this weekend, said the Cornhuskers could move to the top of his list if the visit goes well.

Spano, of Stephenville, Texas, was Oklahoma State's first commitment and was expecting to report for the spring semester, but he was told by coach Mike Gundy that a scholarship wouldn't be available then.

Asked if OSU was still a possibility, Spano told The Oklahoman he hadn't talked to anyone with the Cowboys since last week.

He says he's no longer considering Tulsa.

Spano was hampered by a shoulder injury his senior year but threw for 2,263 yards and 23 touchdowns.

Looks like it is between us and Okie Lite.

  7. I'm a Kucinich guy.....unfortunately he's not president enough like looking to get the vote.....the guy is down to earth, can debate with anyone and has lived in the same $20,000 house he bought 20 years ago in Northeast Ohio.

We would have the hottest first lady ever if he were president. :)

That is true. She even has a tongue piercing. No way a Communist will get elected though.

Btw, have you checked out Thompson's wife. Another hottie and she is from Nebraska as well.

  8. Hate to burst bubbles. Sorry in advance. :madash

Mohler said Monday that the recent events at Nebraska — three straight losses to fall to 4-4 and the firing last week of athletic director Steve Pederson — have caused him to rethink his verbal commitment to become a Cornhusker next season.

Mohler said he has scheduled a visit to Colorado for Dec. 8 and plans to visit some unspecified Pac-10 schools as well, perhaps Oregon, Washington and UCLA.

Nebraska is still in the picture, Mohler said, but not if Interim Athletic Director Tom Osborne fires current coach Bill Callahan.
