  1. Apparently this Mark Kriegel guy knows more than any of our local writers.

    http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/9980116...Beasley,-others

Scroll down a bit to see this...

"Tough week for Nebraska. First, former cornhusker running back Thunder Collins was convicted of murder. Then Bo Pelini dismissed another running back, Quentin Castille, for an unspecified violation of team rules.

Word is, Tom Osborne is outraged. At Pelini."

Word is, Kriegel is an idiot...

  2. I've just started going through universityofsportsbooks.com. They allow you to look at all the other wagering companies and check out their deals. I actually just joined in their NFL pick em challenge. Apparently universityofsportsbooks.com is pretty new and not many people know about it yet so there should be a good chance of winning some money. IDK...check it out for yourself.

  3. Really?

He has a lot of weight to gain to be a FB.

At RB, he was also a speed back, not a power back, right?

There's a better chance that if he is moved, he'd be looked at as DB or WR.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see him returning kickoffs, good speed.

  4. Does anyone have (or can help me find) a good picture with someone throwing the bones. I would like it to be a pretty large photo. I would go out and look at huskers.com but it seems to be down right now or something. If at all possible I would like the middle picture on the picture below. I know I've seen that full size before. Thanks! GBR!

  5. FYI, Cy...I went to Doane while Tommy was there and I knew pretty much every football player. Their

impressions of him were not good. Play calling was terrible for one and he never really established the player/coach relationship with more than a small group of kids. My impressions of him is that he thought he was above Doane and the entire campus. He'd walk in the lunch room with his coaching entourage and acted like he owned the place. Plus there were plenty of college girls that had problems with him (I'll leave it at that.) It was very disappointing that one of my idols growing up was not all that I thought he was. All this being said I never really had a chance to sit and talk with him.

As for Doane (if you want to rake out the money) I loved it. It's a very tight community and campus life can be as fun as you want to make it. I do know both the volleyball coaches and they are good teachers and leaders. I'm not crazy about the head coach, just because I was in track and field and we had to share the indoor arena for practice and she got annoying to me. But that won't be a problem for long after the new facility is built (it will be very nice!)

Just thought I'd let you in on some stuff. GBR!

  6. BTW I like this guy...Very physical for his size and does whatever it takes to get to the ball with a good speed burst. A year in the weight room and this guy looks like a nice LB or Safety addition. Visiting this weekend I believe.

  7. Loved the video on this kid. Passes looked sharp and when he tucked the ball down to run he ran hard and finished his runs. A couple more things I like about him:

    Texas kid.

    Coach's son.

    Spread option QB.

Coming at semester to get a head start.

Pretty exiting to get a good QB commit. Welcome aboard Kody!

  8. I also watched the whole Army AA game and focused mainly on Baker and the decommits. Baker was double teamed nearly every play, he obviously gained a lot of attention from the other coaches with his rave reviews from the practices. The only negative thing that I saw is maybe stopping on the plays a little before the play was done. Besides that there's not much you can do about a double team from two high-school all americans. Should be interesting to see which side of the ball he actually ends up on.

Bryan Munson of rivals said that some of the big recruiting analysts said that he is the greatest talent out of Nebraska since Ahman Green. Take it for what it's worth.
