  1. I'm guessing that if like some chess team got really popular somewhere and got a lot of hype.. the fans started getting drunk watching the matches, violence would, no doubt, ensue. LOL!

    In Programming Terms:

    var TEAM = sports_team;

    var ENTHUSIASM = love_of_team;

    var FANS = person_with ENTHUSIASM for TEAM;

    var REFS = people_with_stripes_and_whistle;

    var PARENTS = have_kids_playing;

    array ALCHOL = beer, whiskey, bourbon, rum;

    array VIOLENCE = cursing, biting, hitting, hair pulling, scratching, slapping;

    if( ( isin(FANS, ENTHUSIASM) ) OR ( PARENTS ) ) {

      if( ( isin(FANS, ALCOHOL) ) AND ( ( TEAM == LOSING ) OR ( REFS == BAD ) ) OR ( PARENTS == LOSERS )) {

          begin: VIOLENCE(random);

      }

    }

    Edit: Revised.

  2. That is pretty perplexing stuff. Pretty dang cool though to see Nebraska in the top 2 spots!! And seems to be from an objective source too, so that says quite a bit in my opinion. Maybe the Kstate and CU and other fans that get out of their shoes quite often need to take a look at those numbers to get back down to earth.

  3. As long as it wasnt OVER used like it is in the NFL I think it would be okay. But yes like Dave said there are parts of the college game that make it great, and wouldnt want them to be like the NFL because that is what makes college sports so much better than pro!

  4. I just read about this McCray guy and he sounds like the real deal!! He is at a prep school in NC right now, averaging 24 points a game, five assists, and six rebounds. He said he talks to Spinelli at least once a week and that "he's like family to me."

    And the best part is he picked NU over Florida State, Clemson, and Michigan State among many others!! And oh by the way, he was an All-State football player WR in Florida, and had scholarship offers from MSU & Marshall. Said he considered playing football at NU also, but for right now he is sticking to bball. I like the sound of this!! :)
