  1. NU vs. Texas A&M in 2006. We were down 27-21 with only a couple minutes left to go in the fourth quarter, and Zac Taylor pulled off an amazing drive capped by an unreal Maurice Purify touchdown grab. If we hadn't won that game, we might have finished the season 8-6 and made it to some lesser bowl (where we still might have lost). I know we all probably want to void out any Callahan era game, but you have to admit that was one of the better games Nebraska played in under Callahan and they actually had a comeback victory, something the Huskers from 2004-2008 were not good at accomplishing.

For recent history '08 Colorado and '06 Texas A&M for sure...

  2. When he scores or makes a big play he needs to have a pose and we can call it "The Rex Flex"

Sorry, you won't see any poses. He always hands the ball to the ref and goes back to the sideline. He is extremely humble. Superman is his nickname in highschool. I believe Tebow already has that one in college.

Good Gawd!!! That is one UGLY chicken!!

Didn't they change Tebow's nickname to St. Tebow of Christ or something like that?

  3. Looks like I'm going to have to subscribe to ESPN's Gametime so I can see all of the Huskers games next year. I even plan on attending a few. I hear the atmosophere, whether its a winning or loosing season, is unbelieveable.

Might also have to go with Direct TV then as it seems likely a few of the "warm-up" games will be local pay-per-view.

    heh! Count on it!!

  4. Hello Husker fans! I am now committed to you and your school for at least the next 4 years due to the fact that Bo has successfully recruited my favorite highschool football player of all time. I've watched Rex play since he was in little league and he still holds most of the RB records in Plano for Pee Wee. I'm so priviledged to have watched him throughout his highschool career. Some of you may not know it, but the highschools in Plano, Tx are divided with 9th & 10th being junior high and 11th & 12th being senior high. It is rare to have freshmen starting varsity football in Plano but Rex found his way onto the varsity football and basketball teams as a freshman. At 5' 10" his fresman year he was dunking the ball. This is the finest of the finest young men you will ever meet. I'm not speaking atheletics right now, I'm speaking of the man. This kid is very special and it's hard to find them like this anymore. Your school will truly be a better place with him there. I have a special needs nephew who has been a trainer on the Plano team for two years and has a formed a close bond with Rex and some of the other players on the team. I'm not talking about the bond of saying hello and being nice, I'm talking about going out of your way on a Saturday night to attend his birthday party and other events. When writing about Rex, it is hard to keep it short & sweet and with being a forum I am going to stop. This is a little insight into the man, the stats and videos on is atheletic ability give you the rest.

Thanx CH...good to hear!! Hope that his character and apparent leadership qualities shine during his time as a Husker. I'm very excited to see what he can do on the field and confident that he will not disappoint in that aspect!!

COPPERAS COVE – After his self-described worst quarter of the year, Brandon Kinnie wanted redemption. He wasn't about to end his career as a Greyhound on a sour note.

By the end of the CHAMPS Heart of Texas Bowl, Kinnie walked away with the MVP trophy in Fort Scott Community College's 30-14 over Blinn College. And everyone at Bulldawg stadium left buzzing about the big receiver's ability and potential.

"This is great," Kinnie said, with his MVP plaque in hand. "I really wanted to show what I could do on this stage. I always wanted to be a playmaker and playmakers come up big and make plays."
