Hope and actual belief that most of us feel now is something that we haven't had or felt in a very long time. Like I had "hope" before with the other coaches/staffs but it didn't feel genuine like it does now.

This guy is gonna be a gamebreaker for us, very excited to see him get the ball in space and make some big time plays.

Not worried about the schedule, to be the best you gotta beat the best. I have faith that our boys will come out and surprise people. Not get blown out in any games and probably upset a couple teams

Voted for Martinez, loved his decision making and overall calm and cool. He's also a TRUE dual threat. I remain very excited for the future of Husker football.

Yeah that's the beauty of the whole situation for me, is that yes this season may not be a title contending season but to know our program has made an incredible investment in this staff and it does feel like it'll be a complete turnaround in the near future.

Love seeing legends like Charlie stop by and drop some knowledge and wisdom on current players and staff. The family atmosphere for alumni is part of what  makes this program so special.

Went with track, just because that's what I did in the off season when I played in high school and it helped make me faster.

Glad I'll be off work to be able to watch this, being excited for a spring game again is a great feeling.

Went with Turner Gill, incredible passer and a true dual threat with his ability to take off or roll out and make great throws downfield outside the pocket.

I just would like to see us get a guy who is efficient and makes good decisions with the ball, the pick sixes last year were extremely nauseating.

Interesting. Thanks for posting, always fun to do a deeper dive into stats since most are things you have to dig deeper on or the whole story isn't told on the surface I guess you could say.

Awesome to hear/read, just reassures what most if not all of us have been feeling and thinking as far as this staff coming here and turning things around. We've swung and missed on the past couple hires and it seems like this is what we've all been waiting for. Very encouraging. Thanks for the info!

I've never been so confident in a coach since we've had Osborne to get our boys back to contending and seeing big time football played in Memorial Stadium. I know it may not be a quick turnaround but it's exciting none the less. Gotta trust the process.

I think the more competition the better, just as long as the best guy ends up being the starter.

I'm confident that our spring game will be one of the biggest turnouts in the country. Time to get the "Sea of Red" back to full strength.

Like said above, the best player at any given position should play regardless if they're a scholarship athlete or walk on.

I completely agree OP, for the first time in years I find myself excited for the upcoming season and the future of Husker football. It's been a while and probably since the 2010 pre-season that I felt this way. I don't expect us to compete for a conference title right away but I expect the team will look improved greatly over what we've grown accustomed to the past few years and to be back to being contenders for conference and eventually national championships within 3-5 years if I had to guess.

List of guys I'd like to see us get in no particular order: Les Miles, Chip Kelly, Scott Frost
