  1. I live out of state so I listen to all of the football, basketball, and baseball games that I don't get on TV. I would sync up the TV and radio, but the delay in the internet feed is behind the TV feed and I don't have a DVR.

I really liked Pavelka and I still enjoy listening to him on the basketball calls. He is becoming more and more mistake prone, but him and Matt Davison have a blast and are a joy to listen to.

I didn't care for Warren Swain.

Jim Rose wasn't the best for football, but was very good at baseball... and there are a lot more baseball games not on TV than football games.

Greg Sharpe is growing on me. It seemed like it took him awhile to get going, but I seem to enjoy his football broadcasts more and more each time. His baseball call leaves a lot to be desired and leaves me wishing Rose was back at the helm.

The football coaches show has always been boring. I do enjoy watching it however when they are replaying plays from a game I didn't get to see on TV.

I really like Kugler, calling games anyway. I don't really care for the format of shows like USC, so I don't regularly listen to it. But I doubt he would give up the sweet gig with Westwood One.

  2. I think you bring up some very valid points. After being so highly touted, Florida has been underwhelming this season.

But in my opinion, you leave out one very important fact in comparing each team in the context of their particular season. In '09, there is no Miami of '01. So I'm not so certain that Florida '09 will be exposed like Nebraska '01 was.

  3. Highjack Alert!

I used to watch the show "King of Queens" in syndication and saw two different episodes where the star, Kevin James, made reference to watching or taping Husker games. Anybody know what the scoop is? He and I share Met and Jet loyalties, it seems strange that he is possibly also a Husker fan. Maybe we are leading parallel lives, except for the part where he is a rich tv personality. It might be cool if during the game they put his mug on the big board screaming Go Big Red like they do at Shea with Let's Go Mets.

I'd start my own thread, but sometimes when you go Hollywood on here, someone says:

    Gayest.

    Thread.

    Ever.

My brother got King of Queens season 1 DVDs for Christmas and he said in episode 4, Doug (Kevin) makes reference to watching a Husker game.

  4. I'm almost certain there is one. IIRC, it starts after the top of the 7th.

Edit: Yep, starts after the 7th.

In NCAA and NAIA college baseball, the game will end if a team is ahead by at least 10 runs after seven innings in a scheduled 9-inning game, or five innings in a scheduled 7-inning game.

Anyone know why the season opener vs. Stanford wasn't called early? It was 17-3 after 7 innings.

  5. I haven't been able to get to huskers.com by typing in the web address the last few days either. There is a message saying "Sorry, this service is temporarily unavailable but will be returning shortly."

I am however able to get to the home page of the site with this link: http://www.huskers.com//HomePage.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=100

I can navigate to any of the pages on the site from this page. I have no clue though why I can't type in www.huskers.com and get to the page like I always have before.

Hope this info helps someone. Interested to hear if others are having the same problem.
