  1.

Posts from these "kids" that are used to texting are a different challenge..They slow me down while I try to decipher their shorthand, but probably are the beginning of a new language that I better practice decoding any chance I get.

    thx 4 da fdbck :)

  2. So why do you think they went to Atlanta? I don't know if there's an obvious answer to this, but my only thought is that they wanted a neutral location to avoid the distractions of local media and fans. Any thoughts on this?

My only thought would be that the search firm is in Atlanta.

Also, the SEC championship is in Atlanta, and LSU will be in the SEC championship.

Yeah, but that game's a week away.

ik its a week away. I just thought it was a little weird that they picked a search firm all the way in atlanta just a week before Bo Pelini was going to be there. There are lots of neutral locations besides atlanta. TO might not be in ATL when Bo is, but the search firm still will be. I don't know how much of an influence, however, they will have on Bo. I think Bleeding Husker Red is just trying to make me look stupid. :)

  4. They shared play calling duties. There were two shots during the game showing each one calling the plays. I think Watson called most of them, though. Funny, it seemed like we were tearing it up when Watson was calling plays, but we hit a wall when Callahan called them.

  5. I go to Southwest, and I have witnessed lots of stuff. Most of the ridiculing goes towards Connor Cosgrove. He is handling everything very well, however. He plays baseball, too, and he was always very laid back and funny during practice and tryouts and stuff. He's a pretty funny dude. He'll get a pass to go to the bathroom from one teacher, then go to my spanish class and get candy from the teacher. He does not seem constantly happy like he used to, but, like I said, he is handling everything very well. Lincoln East sucks anyway.

  6. Callahan just mentioned something about their families and kids being ridiculed. Not cool fans!! Not cool at all!!

Yeah, Kevin Cosgrove's son (I'll keep his name to myself for now) goes to my school, and I know he probably hears stuff in the halls about his dad. I don't think that his son specifically is getting made fun of, ridiculed, etc., however. For all of the stuff going on though, he seems to be handling everything surprisingly well. One of the worst things that I know of is this: his son is the main punt returner for my school football team(which is a certain high school in southwest Lincoln). In a game against a very bad team with no wins or class, he was about to return a punt. The opposing team's student section began to chant "Fire Coz, Fire Coz." That probably hurt quite a bit.

  7. My son, his girlfriend, and I were on the red carpet during the Tunnel Walk on Saturday. The guys seemed pumped up, but Callahan just chewed his gum and seemed to have no emotion. TO just had a demeanor which showed a sense of confidence, in my opinion. (OMG......is Matt Slauson a beast!)

Sorry if this is off topic, but the principal of my school is Matt Slauson's dad.

    3. Get the players to play all out. The players do seem to like this guy, so if that is the case, shouldn't they be motivated to help him keep his job? Again, not sure why the intensity is not there...the players should know. Maybe it is conditioning, maybe there is a player or group of players that are undermining some things the coaches are trying to do?

I think the players "liked" him. They probably still do like him. They just aren't disciplined, and because of that they show very little effort. The Raiders made it to the super bowl, and it was like suddenly they all lost their respect to him. They were not disciplined after they made it there. Cally made it to the Big 12 Championship (I know that's not very comparable to the Super Bowl), and now it seems like none of the Huskers have any discipline. It just seems like all the players like him because they think something good is going to happen, and then when it does happen, or when anything goes wrong, they just give up. If the players want anything good to happen, they need to finish their blocks, make a second effort, etc.
