  1. • And you are?

So many people attended Amy Lietz's wedding that "we even had people there we didn't know," said Lietz, 6 and 10 p.m. news anchor for KSNT. "We had no idea who these people were."

When she married Greg Sharpe on Sept. 16, 1995, the couple were on competing television news broadcasts. Now the Voice of the Wildcats, contributing play by play commentary for Kansas State University football and men's basketball for WIBW Radio, at the time Sharpe was sports director for WIBW.

Lietz estimated 550 to 600 people attended the wedding. The newlyweds greeted guests as they were ushered out instead of in a traditional reception line. "There were a couple of people where my husband and I kind of looked at each other," Lietz said. "We're sure appreciative they were there; it was just a difficult situation. 'How do we smooth this over?' It was kind of an awkward situation."

"It is a little embarrassing," Sharpe concurred. "When you have that kind of mass of people, you're probably going to have some you don't know."

  2. below CU, KSU, and MU

of course I could put up the recruiting ranking from the last few years to make me feel better right?

Yea, but those "great" classes did not really help you last year.

    Cmon man....La Tech.

    That must hurt.

Not really. Sounds like the staff wasn't really too high on him.

  3. Now that Givens, Rippy and Williams appear to be gone, do we also lose Compton?

why do you think that these 3 are gone?

because they visited sCUm this weekend?

dont worry to much about Rippy the only reason he went to sCUm is because his mother har already purchased plane tickets for the visit before he reconfirmed his commitment as solid to NU.

I think that Compton and Williams are going to be "N"

Givens will end up at NU or UT

    go to rivals.

givens is down to cu and ut.

    williams is gone.

    rippy is gone.

  4. i wouldn't think this is about the staff not liking these recruits. If Bo didn't care, why make such a big effort to go and talk to all these guys the past couple weeks?

It seems more like the staff wants these kids, but the kids are turned off by something they see in the staff.

Ive heard Carl pelini and cotton have not been impressive on the recruiting trail. Seems like they are turning off a ton of commits.

  5. Sean Fischer's performance in the state football game was legendary. 44 carries for 200 yards. Pretty sure he'll be a welcome edition to our depleted linebacker crew.

While Fisher certainly played like a warrior, I can't help but remember a few years ago when MN played Lincoln SE in the championship game and John McArdle had 4 million carries. MN lost that game too. I always thought Petito put together a great system only to lose that championship due to ridiculous playcalling. MN was a better team than Central in my opinion and Petito blew the game. I think we are lucky Fisher is such a specimen and didn't get hurt toting the ball so many times.

McCardle got robbed. We all know he got the first down, the replays proved that.

  6. hell, guys, of all the lame ass linemen we have, this guy probably improved the most and played pretty well this season. he played better than i thought he would.

i just hope he is laying off the reefer and the late night mcdonalds. Dude wasted like 2 or 3 years doing that crap.

  7. um i dont see what the big deal is with someone standing up in your section. You paid for the seat, you can do whatever you want.

CU has the most classless fan base i have ever seen. Hell they shamed the entire state the day they had to clear the stands. I was sad to live in Colorado that day.

  8. Gabbert officially de-committs. See ya... wouldn't want to be ya.

Your. probably the same kind Missouri fan that was sending him hate mail month ago. :)

Yep, I bet he had some really nice things to say about Blaine when he choose NU in the first place.

He wouldn't be here if it didn't make him mad the first time.

Dude got replaced by his little brother. That says a lot.

  9. If he wanted to start a fight with me, all I'd have to do is grab a football and run right at him.

I belong to probably about ten forums of various types, comic relief is probably the part that I enjoy most and this line may be the funniest I have had the pleasure to read.

Very, very good. Sometimes I wonder if my wife thinks that I hear voices, I'm sitting at the computer and burst into laughter for no apparent reason. :LOLtartar

    yeah that was pure gold.

That should be post of the day tomm. :)

  10. Yea I heard it , and they all sounded as dumb as they normally do. :)

"Keller's back in the pocket, has time.., and his taken to the turf!!!!"

Atleast they didn't defame BC the great :sarcasm
