  1. Not necessarily...but necessarily.

You're right, man. Bill Callahan should stay. :asshat

What the f@ck are you talking about? You can "finish" all you want...Callahan and Cosgrove will not be here next year...period....Regardless of your flawed and asinine logic.

  2. If I see one more person, "accomplished poster" or new poster...ridicule another fan's loyalty?!?!? You are vaginas.

I registered here in late September...which means that I must've only become a Nebraska Cornhusker fan at the very same time.

Kiss your own ass, pompous pricks.

  3. Keller was the starter because he really was better than Ganz at running this offense. Just like i said in another post, we will get the same results from ganz just in a different way. I am not trying to bash Ganz either by saying this, i am just saying that Keller really did deserve the starting position and wasnt jsut handed the job.

Ganz's number were 25-50 for 405 with 4 TD's and 4 INT's (1 rushing TD), if we had Keller we would have gotten a better completion percentage maybe with some more yards, probably not as many INT's but we wouldnt have seen him run for the TD or make plays with his feet.

Having said that i think both QB's are in the wrong system and both would be doing much better in the right system. However Keller was slightly better in this system.

I am excited to see what Ganz can do next year under a new system.

LOL you must be joking. No way keller would've gotten us 39 points against kansas. His ass would've been on the turf 8 time at least. Considering this was Ganz's first start and against a top 10 team he didn't do that bad but made mistakes.

Keller would've had 5 interceptions. I think it is precious that you are still talking about what Sam Keller would've done again KU. Yeah, sam woud've had 8 TDs and 904 yards passing.

    I still commend Keller....but I don't recommend him. Ouch. I can't believe I just said that, But I did.

  4. You are still a fan of Kansas Football. If you pledge to be here, regardless of your basketball season (of which I know consists of fair-weather fans), regardless of how KU completes next year....then we're good.

I also know that KU will assume the KU football trend continues after this season.

Congrats on the 9-0 season. All I can say is, "live it up."

    It won't last.

  5. I'm just living for the day after the CU game, when Mr. Callahan has been shown his walking papers. That, my friends, will be a load off.

I am worried, however, about the talent we have. Given the embarassments we've endured, I have to wonder if bad coaching is the lone culprit. Let's face it, Bill Callahan is a loser and a fraud, and should never be a head coach ever again, at any level. But, will a better coaching staff do the trick?

Will a Bo Pelini make the defense much better in the course of one season?

A couple of weeks ago, even when it was clear that Callahan had to do, I was still optimistic because I thought we had a good group of talented players. Now, I'm not so sure.

Our D-line is the worst in D-I football. Our linebackers are below average. We have one decent player in the D-backfield. Can a new coach turn it around in one season? I used to think so. Now, I don't.

And frankly, I'm tired of rebuilding.

Pelini took our previously inept (2002) defense into #1/2 defense in one year (2003).

    No questions.

  6. I hate to be a hater....but, come on people!!!

Despite our latest losses - Missouri, Oklahoma State, Texas A & M....I have never been so disappointed in our team/defense before today.

People have to hit rock bottom (kinda hard to not consider 76-39 rock bottom, if this isn't rock-bottom...then kill me now)...yup, and now we've actually drilled into the ground to submerge ourselves even further. We're not even rock-bottom...we've submerged ourselves into the mantle of Earth's core.

P.S. - If I see that god-damn Dr. Pepper commercial again...I WILL flog my baby seal.

  7. I didn't even need to read the posts here...although I probably should have. I would've, had the post title not been the very same sh#t that we've seen before. No offense, I see what you were intending.

If there is one thing that we have learned about Callahan throughout his tenure...it is that he is a hard-headed prick. He is an ego-maniac. He is a conceded, dick-face.

He won't resign, but merely "hold out" for more money; all the while...leaving Nebraska football fans to suffer in his ineptness.

Callahan/Cosgrove are done. They should be gone tonight.

Not Sunday, Not Monday...not at the end of the season...but NOW...Tonight...STOP STALLING!!

What the FU@K are we waiting for?

  8. I'm downright sick of this bandwagon balleyhoo. Mods, don't start questioning our fan's intentions and wishes by their "joined-on date."

Rather, question whether the posts have actual merit. Even the posters that join today, they have a legitimate concern. I'm simply asking people that, apparently, consider themselves the "true" Nebraska fans to reconsider their responses. This SH!T has to stop!!!!!!!!

Every DAMN team has bandwagon fans. *Please see Kansas Univerisity.

Let the fans (those that sign up on HuskerBoard) speak their minds, for the love of steve.

I am a Nebraska Cornhusker fan. Period...

...As are many people that aren't/haven't registered on HuskerBoard. Believe it or not...one can still be a TRUE, RAGING, Husker fan without being on this board.

  9. No offense, but Nebraska fans haven't seen consistent disappointment since the 1960's. For all the HB members here from that era...kudos...and I'm sorry you have had to re-witness this.

Here is the jist: This is the WORST season...and, truly, the WORST 4 years in Nebraska history...since Nebraska became a perennial power.

If you want to start referencing WW II-esque stats...kiss my ass....but seriously...kiss my ass.

Nebraska fans, regardless of age...HAVE NOT WITNESSED THIS MUCH OF A PITIFUL DISPLAY OF NEBRASKA FOOTBALL.

  10. By the end I was hoping to see 83... I mean, if you're going to lose big, might as well go huge.

its hard to be positive, but we did score almost 40 on a good defense. we just have the worst defense. I still think if we could pull together for one game we could beat KSU or CU......

We scored 24 points on the vaunted KU defense...in the first half.

I was saying the same thing...the whole time. If anything, today's game has simply illustrated that our defense is really BAD. And, if it is any consolation, KU's defense is also bad, yet they have the offensive players to score 76 points.

Despite the interceptions, I give props to Joe Ganz.

    P.S. - Kill me. :moreinteresting

  11. Correct me if I'm wrong, but '98 was a year of a lot of devastating injuries at the QB position. I don't remember how long and who exactly (Crouch and Newcombe both went down, though), but that was pretty rough IIRC.

'94 was Frazier going down and Berringer stepping in, and that turned out all right.

I don't think it would be devastating if we were 7-2 and Sam was Heisman caliber, because Joe Ganz is Joe Ganz. I think how much of a blow this would be depends on who you've got waiting in the wings and not (for the most part) on the circumstances of the season.

But yeah, it's amazing Crouch stayed healthy three years of starting here.

I'm talking season-ending injuries...were either of those two out for the season...if so...what were their injuries? I tried "Google-ing" it, couldn't find much information. And as we all know, Google.com is the only reputable research source available.

"Penn State, which starts spring ball March 27, isn't the only national title contender that faces a big question this spring. National champion Tennessee also is troubled, as it must address a need at receiver. And then there's Nebraska. In 1998, the Cornhuskers finished 9-4, the school's most losses since 1968. In addition to re-establishing its ground game, Nebraska is looking for its lost swagger."

We've lost our swagger, at 9-4??? Those were the days.
