  1. People act like the option is going to magically fix the crappy blocking and bad penalties. The line and WR coach need some new opportunties next year. That will fix most our ills.

Why return to the option? We lost, big damn deal. We're 4-2 and we could have lost to Colorado like Kansas! No, we lost to Texas Tech. A very potent offense that is ranked #2 in the country in passing and scoring. To return to the option would just set us back another 4 years+ and then someone would write a post after a similiar loss saying "Return to the WCO?"

  2. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the current Big 12 leaders at 2-1, KSux.

    I think I just vomited a bit

How did they score a billion points today? Did Snyder fill their water bottles with steroids? That score doesn't make since.

    Answer...they played A&M

  3. Is there a chance that TT is just better then NU?

I know there is tons of talk that Watson sucks and Lee sucks and so on but, dont you think that TT deserves credit?

Also, most of us probably agree that for the most part BC was terrible, I know I do. I have also long felt that BCs recruiting was way way way overrated and maybe we are seeing that from time to time?

Isnt there a good chance that Lee is just an average QB? Isnt there a good chance that NUs WR's are just average? I mean, you cant usually develop average into greatness.

Maybe we are seeing the effects of BC's recruiting, especially on the offensive side of the ball and maybe we also saw that TT is a pretty good team. We talk about how NU "could have been" 5-0 before this game, well TT was not far away from having zero losses too.

    No

  4. From what we have seen against teams not from the sun belt...

Lee - locks onto first option, does not see the whole field. Not a real running threat. Might know more of the offense in the film room or practice, but it is not translating to plays when it counts.

Green - He's green. He makes the rookie mistakes. Looks like he has absolute trust in his physical abilities, which is both good and bad. Some of the trouble throws he had in the game may be trusting his arm to 'Favre' the ball in there. He is much more mobile. Would like to see him in a situation where he does not need to throw every down.

If the staff believes Green is the future, start him now. Use ISU and BU to make the freshman mistakes. In all honesty, this year our best hope looks like a North division title. Regardless of who we start at QB. So, I'm of the mindset of play for the future. If Green is projected by the staff to be the starter for the next 3 years, might as well make it 3 and a half.

    I totally agree. :clap

  5. Lee threw for 3 td's in the rain? We'll never know if that would have even been necessary with Green playing. Sorry but I fell off the Lee bandwagon after the MU game and was just hanging on before that. Does "no major college offers" kind of hint that I'm not alone?

    :yeah:clap

  6. If he doesn't start this season, he will start against Western Kentucky next year.

I completely agree. Green is young and was put into a tough situation and I think that he did fairly well. He is young and will pick things up with experience. He has 3 1/2 years left to play, Lee has 1 1/2. Where would you put your money? I would put mine on the long term investment that shows A LOT of potential.

  7. Who do you think gets the start against Iowa State?

I have a feeling CG might. The way Bo made it sound in his post-game, he was not happy with his reads and game management. CG may be young but he is well worth the investment. He did get our offense moving when Lee couldn't and was able to put a TD on the board. He did make some mistakes which I believe comes with youth and a lack of bug game experience but I thought he did pretty well getting thrown into the situation.

  8. I turned off the ESPN360 stream. I can't bear it anymore. I'll just check the bottom line to see what happens. I can't stand watching us getting bullied around. Personally, I place the blame on our offense. This season, the offense hasn't showed up against anybody ranked in the top 50 teams. Our defense has primarily carried us through and while thats great, we need our offense to be consistent.

I give ZL a bunch of credit for last week...I really do. That said, at some point it has to be asked...can we at least give Cody a shot?

    :yeah
