UNL fired a 9 win coach already and couldnt get anyone to take the job until you know who got fired for the dumpster fire in Oakland.

I dont know why folks are so bent out of shape over Rome leaving. Hell, I have almost as many tackles as him this year and I aint even on the team. Lol

You don't think a 6 foot something, 300 pound kid that plays on the defensive line might have a bit of an attitude? Maybe an aggressive type of personality? What do you think these guys do on a daily basis? Go to practice and play patty cake, so they can be really good at ring around the rosey on Saturdays? They fight in the trenches, the get punched in the mouth, fingers in their eyes, helmets to their knees, and spit in their face. Think maybe you better be a little nasty to play up front in Div. 1....You bet your ass you better be.

That kind of attitude is absolutely fine. The kind of attitude that makes you quit when your starting spot is taken away after you didn't get the job done - that's the bad attitude I'm talking about.

Getting your spot taken away when you're not getting the job done isn't bullsh#t. Quitting if you get your spot taken away when you're not getting the job done is, however.

Getting your spot taken away for not getting the job done would be a tough thing, and might not be bullsh#t, but I sure hope Bo is going to be yanking a lot more than just Rome's spot. There's plenty of ducks on this defense.

Nobody on the national level cares about Nebraska, nor should they. You haven't won a conference championship this century. Go to your stadium. The highest number you see is 1999. That was 13 years ago. Your seasons are boring and predictable. You beat a few no-name schools and start off with high-hopes, you get crushed by a legit team, you win a few more games against a few nobodies, you lose a game to a nobody, you implode against a few pretty good team, then you win a game or two before embarrassing yourself in a bowl game. Your first loss will come this week and this board will become a hotbed for negativity and bitterness.

Your first statement is dead wrong. I live in AR, my nephew lives in CT, I have a cousin that lives in TX. Therefore, there are people on a national level that care. Have a nice day.

All good replies folks! Like I said, I think Bo is trying to win the right way. I live in SEC country and I see the " win at all cost" mentality. I know its a process to get things back to where they used to be and I think ( hope) the Huskers are closer today than they were a few years ago.

I can live with some 9-10 win seasons with some conference championships thrown in and some BCS appearences. NC contenders as well as long as things are done the right way.

Not trying to start a fuss. Just wondering. As a life long (46 years) Husker fan I remember TO's struggles, or perceived struggles. People always said " He cant beat Oklahoma" then it was " he cant win the big one". It wasnt until he made changes and got speed on speed with the defense and started making those historic runs, winning NC's that he became one of the greatest coaches of all time (according to some) and became loved by the fans.

I am a huge Bo Pelini fan. I think he tries to win the right way, with right kids. I just wonder if those not in the " Bo camp" are younger and dont remember TO's struggles.

I dont think that BK should have to sit. Maybe they could move him to the defense and use him as a corner or safety. That way BK could give opposing recievers concussions by head slapping them with his hands of STONE!!!!
