  1. Ok, hear me out.

    Bo hasn't signed a contract.

Les Miles most likely will be going to Michigan after the title game. His buyout to Michigan is unchanged by his extension.

Jimbo Fisher, the guy most people thought would take over LSU if Les left, is on board to be the FSU coach after Bowden.

Could LSU just offer the job to Bo since he hasn't signed a contract yet? it would cost them nothing.

I seriously doubt Bo would bring his kids and wife into this whole revenge theory. :o

  2. I watched the last 30 minutes last night. They had a video of Cody Glenn and another female student going through a haunted house. The girl was klinging to Glenn but Glenn just smiled the whole time. After the video Callahan said it did not look like Glenn was scared at all and nothing hardly does scare him. They went back to video of the game in the last half of the 3rd quarter. Callahan said nothing but praises for the job well done on the players, he did not take credit either. He didn't make excuses, he was sadden about the defense giving up over 200 yards in the 4th quarter. He talked highly about Joe Ganz and how Joe will be QB in Kansas game. NO coach speak.

  3. These kids played their asses off today and I am proud of every single one of them!!!!!!!!!!

    ITA here's my positives:

I am extremely happy, they gave a great effort. :clap

    1) There was not many delay of games

    2) only one interception

    3) Blitzing

    4) More than a 3 man front

    5) played 2 minute offense

    6) Didn't try to use the same ball carrier through out the whole game

    7) Most of all: THEY DIDN'T GIVE UP! :worship

Seven great reasons why I am happy but at the same time, I am sadden Keller was hurt. It worried me when Ganz had to take over. I guess I forgot how well he can QB. I got excited when I saw him keep the ball and run it. It reminded me of TO's offense. I think these next games Ganz will be QB and that is ok with me as long as they play like they did today. For the first time, I have hope maybe not bowl game hope but hope. :woo

  4. So I have a friend that has connections to the athletic dept and told me today that TO is heading down to Austin to catch the volleyball match tonight. The thing is, he apparently isn't flying with the volleyball team but is taking a separate flight and told the dept that he wouldn't be back until Friday. Wonder what he could be doing down there until Friday? Could it be that he's planning a short trip east to Baton Rouge? Pure speculation of course, but I thought it was interesting. Could mean absolutely nothing.

    Read this: http://www.journalstar.com/articles/2007/1...98431616135.txt

EDIT: opps everyone had been reading the same article I was when I posted this....

  5. 1.7 GPA, no respect for anyone but himself, f'ing sucks at football, and hes making our program look like trash.

Where the hell is the tradition. Saturday made me f'ing sick and we need to change this.

I know you're upset but I hope you're not serious about him dying.

oh boy a 1.7 GPA is that correct???? Where did you get the GPA?

  6. I will make sure to update anyone who wants the info. I talked to my friend and he said that a phone call was planned later today and that a meeting was planned tomorrow. I will NOT speculate on what but I will tell those of you who want to know all about it.

The reason I am mad is because there are people who spent the last 2 months telling me my thoughts, ideas, dislike for Callahan and the direction of the program were unfounded and the insulted me with personal attacks when I was careful not to name call anyone. These same people think I am trying to get credit and praise for this info and they question my source and insult my playing career. I offered this info on Huskerboard.com because I like most of the people here and I have already talked to a bar about renting out their patio for the spring game to say hi to members here.

I am not posting or giving my feedback because for no reason I am constantly attacked and I consider this info 'good stuff' that shouldn't be treated like $hit. I am not catching feelings or a wuss, rather I am asking for respect from people who have been dead a$$ wrong all year and insulted me in the process.

If I don't have you on my PM I will look you up on this thread an update you after I hear back.

    GBR!!!

Please PM me as well IBR. I am very interested in you inside information. Thanks :clap

  7. I don't want aggies to blow us out and I am sure that will happen anyway bc Callahan has no idea how to fix it. Aggies have a better defense than the huskers do. I think both coaches are about the same at coaching.

Edit: Corrected to what I meant to say.

sorry having trouble with puter and DSL today. NO I don't want them to ever lose. I am being hopeful.

  8. Coaches will not get fired until after the CU game, IMO. I don't have any insiders, but that makes the most sense.

Stating the obvious, but a few more blowouts like the last two week may force his hand. IMO

I doubt that even blowouts would cause a midseason firing. BC is hear until after the season, possibly longer. Even though TO was brought in, as far as anyone knows, it was only to replace the AD not Callahan. TO may come to the conclusion that only new defensive personel are needed. If we come out the remainder of the games and score points, then BC's job may be safe. A defensive staff with some creativeness, coaching ability, and motivation skills could go a long ways. BC will have to impress the $hit out of TO though, for BC is not an appendage of TOs like he was PUD.

Most inportantly is these players know between now and the CU game, their coach's job and the rest of the coaching staff's jobs depend on how well they play. There is a lot riding on their shoulders. Can they really play with inspiration and fire this weekend?

Right now Husker Nation has to start praising and supporting them for every positive thing they do on that feild this weekend and every game after that. If they convert on 3rd down or when a defensive player runs after the other team player with the ball. Fans need to show their support. :restore

  9. i dont know if it has been said or not but apparently there is a PC at 6pm tonight and callahan is gone along with cosgrove and mcbride is going to be the interim head coach.

take it for what it is worth but my sources are very reliable and it is starting to get mentioned on other boards. :clap:hellloooo

I hope to hell your wrong. This is a coup, if its ture.

This was a coup starting Sunday morning...........awesome.

There is to be a contest winner PC scheduled today from HP but I doubt it's about Cally and staff being fired since TO is still as of 1 pm today saying he needs to get to know callahan before anything is changed.

  10. Tom Osborne appointed Frank Solich as head coach, effectively negating any input from the athletic director and bypassing search committees. How did that pan out? The program began a long slide that has continued to this day.

How many years as head coach did it take for Tom Osborne to win the national championship? More than fifteen years. Will any other head coach be given that kind of opportunity to succeed at NU ever again? Not likely. NU's days as a football power may well be over, given the sort of chaos that governs the program now.

Be careful what you ask for.

I'm just saying . . . be careful what you hope for. When administrative officials begin basing their decisions on mob pressure, you often get mob answers.

I was, like most, calling for a change. I was honestly hoping, though, that those more intimately involved in Husker athletics (like, for example, folks that actually work there) might use reasoned approaches.

Changing AD's in the middle of the season is lunacy--especially when it appears that it is done to ultimately fire a coaching staff. The results on the recruiting class are already being felt.

Be careful what you ask for.

Callahan is in a no-win situation here; his entire staff is under fire, and all they can do is circle the wagons. His players have sounded as if they stand in defense of the coaching staff, by and large, and this makes the entire team feel under seige.

The likely scenario is that Callahan is looking for a buyout offer at this point. There is no way that he can possibly be enjoying this job any longer, and I am sure that 90% of his staff is ready to depart to more pleasant environs as well. They are waiting for the best offer, and then they are gone. And then, once again, NU must start from scratch. Will NU again have to start from scratch five years from now? Could well be.

NU looks to be another post-millennial victim. Things have changed, folks.

Be careful what you ask for.

Never in my life have I ever seen this program go into the toilet so fast in four years. Steve Pederson divided Husker Nation, chased away the boosters, former husker players as well as ran off athletic fundraising staff. The fans weren't the only ones to ask for him to be fired and HP didn't have to listen to us.

I also don't believe Callahan could be that stupid not to know he needs TO more than ever. BC doesn't want to get fired again it would not help him get another coaching job or at least one that matters or could pay him as much as he is being paid now. BC is thinking "I can't be remembered as the one coach who ruined the Nebraska Cornhuskers." BC will ask for TO's advice and learn from him.

  11. I think BC will invite TO to practice. BC needs to be a great coach, to do that you have to learn from the best. Learning from TO will help himself. Also BC is intelligent enough to know his team has issues and he doesn't have any idea how to fix it. We will be hearing next year about all the new walk-ons.

I watched the Big Red Wrap up last night. A back up quarterback to Irving Fryer (I forgot his name and he was before my time) was being interviewed, he said since Steve Pederson took over all the shrines to the greatest players have been omitted, there is only one NC trophy displayed and that is the 1997 trophy. When I heard that I was floored. :o
