  1. He really doesn't think people will remember who won the last Big 12 championship game? How long has Shatel been around? We remember everything. And he thinks we shouldn't want the championship if we despise the Big 12? There's no logic there. I thought it was a pretty weak article. Of course we'd like to see 100-0, but 3-0 is fine with me, and most people are just having fun talking about how to shove the trophy in Beebe's face.

How many here still remember '82 Penn State? We never forget.

  2. Is he doing anything other than occasionally appearing on Fox news?

Williams is a contributor to a number of national magazines, including Fortune, The New Republic, The Atlantic Monthly, Ebony magazine, TIME and GQ and frequents a wide range of television programs including ABC's Nightline, Washington Week on PBS, and The Oprah Winfrey Show.

  3. Oh god. What is wrong with people? Someone in another thread reminded us how it wasn't long ago we got to watch Callahan calmly pace the sidelines while we were down 30-10 to some completely average team. Now we have some really questionable things going on with officials and it cost us a big game. And Bo passionately wants to win these big games and isn't going hold back his emotion too much.

The fact that this is bothersome to Perlman while the refs situation apparently is not... well, that should be bothersome to us.

JTrain, this is just CYA Harvey in action as usual. As far as I'm concerned, Ol' Harv should just sit in his office, shut up, and let TO do his job. With all the millions Ol' Harv has cost NU over the Callahan/Pedersen contract debacle, he should go back to hiding under his desk where he belongs.

  4. I'm not exactly a happy camper at the moment and I am glad that I didn't have all my actions on film tonight. But I have to agree with you. Bo is Bo and he doesn't have a very good poker face. I do feel that some of his sideline behaviour is becoming very embarassing. His tirade with tMart was rediculous as was his tirade with Cotton once the truth came out what caused that ordeal. Hopefully Tom will have a chat with him.

You can't judge Bo after the fact on the Cotton penalty. Bo saw Ben kicking at the guy. You would have tore Cotton a new a$$ too in that situation. I'm sure an apology will be coming during films.

  5. I don't think there's any way you can blame Watson for failing to develop Cody Green. Green has just not panned out so far, and part of that is his fault, and part of that is the situation (not being able to redshirt when he needed to).

Because Watson's work bringing along Taylor as a quarterback has been nothing short of impressive.

You can't at once deflect blame from Watson for Green's development AND credit him for Martinez's development. He coaches both of them. He's either responsible for both of them, or for neither one.

Well said. And frankly, I think you could get away with pinning Green's lack of development on Watson while simultaneously refusing to give Watson credit for Martinez. How?

Because the things that make Martinez special are clearly natural abilities. It's basically his speed. He is very raw. In fact, the more the season progresses---that is to say, the more he seems to work with Watson---the worse Martinez is. When was the last time he ran for a TD? K State?

You can't teach poise and Green has no poise in the pocket. To put it plain and simple, he panics under pressure. Either you have it or you don't, and clearly Green doesn't have what it takes. He's a bust. Get over it.

  6. Before I start to worry about what Carl did, I'd like to first know what the "journalist" did/said. I have to wonder if Carl wasn't pestered to the point he blew up. Doesn't excuse it, but lets hear the whole story first

He was just standing there getting ready to do his post-game show and your gem of a coach went by and trashed his camera. They have it on video, so have fun with that.

I thought it was a hard fought game that went down to the wire. I still think you guys are a class fan base and I wish you guys the best in the Big 10. Pelini boys need to be medicated.

I think you have a class fan base as well and wish you the best in the Big 12 or what's left of it also but if anything your gem of a player in the video below needs/deserves much more than being medicated. He should have been ejected immediately and for the rest of the season taboot.

I'm not going to condone this behavior or say that it is right. But this kind of stuff happens at the bottom of these piles every single game. It doesn't matter who is playing. I have a good friend who played college ball about 5 years ago at another college in Texas. He said there was more punching and grabbing at the bottom of these piles than anyone ever sees.

It's called assault, and the difference is your boy got caught on camera. I suspect this clip will be sent to the league office if no disciplinary action is taken by aTm.

  7. I'll be the first to say it. The play calling sucked. Obviously the zone read and stretch plays were not working, especially in the second half. However, the power running was. So why run 2-3 power plays, pick up a first and then run a zone read followed by a stretch (this happened a lot) and face 3rd and long?

Yes, it's always the play calling. It's never the lack of execution, poor decision making, or fumbling the frickin ball again and again and again.

  8. T. Mart is going through what every Freshman QB goes through. He will have his high spots and he will definitely have low ones.

The key is when he has his lows, it doesn't put the other team in an advantageous situation which will be learned as he matures mentally.

Be thankful it wasn't against a team that could take advantage of the miscues like Iowa St. last year.

  9. What to do if you're a senior, and you've been dumped to the #3 spot, more or less effectively ending your football career

Exactly, i wonder how zac feels. I understand if he needs some more work to gain the spot but would still be crappy.

Zac's a big boy and he knows the competition is stiff at his position.

If Zac is the leader everybody on the team says he is, then he accepts the hand that is dealt, and helps T-Mart and Cody the best way he can to succeed.
