  1. Watch out, that violence police guy will say we're demeaning T.O. :)

Besides, you stole these from Jack Bauer.

But I know, Bo could kick JB's a**!

Oh hell, ya'll are havin' your kind of fun and I am not about to try to throw water on that parade.

Some of the comments just aren't very funny, and I wish there was more respect, but what the hell there isn't and that's the way it is.

This kind of stuff wouldn't have even occurred to most of us back in the '60s, '70s, and maybe even some of the '80s. I guess it's a different sort of humor. And I really don't like it. :dunno

Why are these postings getting compared to what happened in the 70's and 80's. First off, Bo Pelini has a totally different personality then Osborne has. What is you point? These comment are just exaggerating the fact that Bo Pelini is a BAD A$$. This has nothing to do with disrespect. I guess I don't understand what you are trying to point out.

  3. 55 to be exact so not 100, but older then all the other coachs that have been talked about. Plus he has a 10 year contract with Wake which you cant expect Neb to pay off.. Dont see it stop the crap!!

You don't have any idea how contracts work, do you? Nebraska wouldn't have to pay 10 years of his contract. I'd be willing to bet there is already a buy-out amount in the contract, and even if there weren't, they would negotiate one. Who would want a coach that resents his school for restricting him from going to another job?

I'm guessing NEHUSKERS is in his middle teens by the way he views things.

No wrong not close to teens sorry to disappoint you .. You most have a hard on for me or something cause I just gave my opinion an you cant stop talking about it.. Sorry dont swing that way...

You're a classy one aren't you. I think you just proved knapplc's point.

Ohhh no I misspelled some words ooooo the world is going to end now!!

Do you guys need a private room to discuss this?

  4. Without him someone else has 4 picks and 3 T.D and maybe a couple decent tackles along the way. This guy hits like a woman. The reasons he was playing this year was 1. His name 2. There wasnt a better player which is hard to believe because I think I have a few years of eligiblity left. Not joking

  5. Now that the nightmare is over and both Pedersen and Callahan are no longer associated with Nebraska football, please, please, please remove any pictures of either one of them from your signatures so we can forget about them as soon as possible....

Every time I see a Pedersen picture of him and/or Callahan (even if its the one of him saying "I ruined Husker football") it makes me shudder.

    AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Another nice touch to the afternoon was foul mouthed female CU students. Another reason why Nebraska girls are better than CU girls.

What's the first reason? Those trademark Nebraska cankles? Child bearing hips? Flapjack boobies? Waist length hair? Asses shaped like manhole covers?

This is hard, there's so many awesome qualities to choose from! :thumbs

Our women would kick your women's @ss in football. LOL

  7. There is hope for a Husker win Saturday.

One of the best K State fans in the state called me this pm to discuss a little biz and f ball. He was in Ames Saturday and he said K State rolled over.

He does business with guys in Omaha ('sker fans) who invite him to Lincoln every other year for the match with tailgating.

Now this is interesting....the guys in Omaha mailed him his two tickets they promised him as they are not going to attend Saturday. So I asked him if he was driving up to attend so I could invite him to our tailgate.

He said NO! KSU has mailed it in this year and he wouldn't drive across the street to see them play again this year. He said they QUIT at ISU.

So, I am hopeful as he is right a lot more times than he's shared bad predictions with me.

It is a pretty sad day when we are talking about the Huskers hopefully getting a win off a team that has given up for the year.

  8. callahan has been evasive since he stepped foot on campus, from his infamous depth charts and playbook/phonebook with motion in every play, to plans to pound the rock and make half time adjustments. sometimes i really think the guy is psycho!

I have decided not to watch or listen to any post game interviews or talk shows dealing with BC. I really dont care what he has to say. I am now dumber for have listened to him previously.

  9. I guess we should have expected a season like this. If you look at BC history, he takes a team to the Super Bowl and falls apart the next year.

Now it is the same at Nebraska, we win the North and then all hell breaks loose the following year.

Al Davis fired his ass, now it is T.O. turn to fire his ass.

Good riddance Mr. Callahan; now get the hell out of Nebraska and never come back again.

Going to the Super Bowl and winning the Big 12 North are not comparable. So pretty much he accomplished less at Nebraska then at Oakland.

  10. I didn't play football, and I haven't coached football,l so if I am missing something obvious in football strategy because I am lacking those traits I apologize.

However, when we are down 16-7 and on A&M's side of the field with two field goal kickers with strong legs, why did we go for it on 4th down rather than kick a field goal and maybe get within 7?

Everyone complained last year when we had a field goal kicker that we wouldn't even try long field goal kicks, but now that we have two that can hit long field goals, it seems the coaches think we still have the old kicker.

Not saying it would have made a difference in the outcome of the game, but to me it is just another example of the bad coaches we have.

Because our HC has his head up his ass.

I truly believe that Callahan has no confidence in our defense. He actually realizes that if we don't score a touchdown there they will on the next series. He doesnt want to trade touchdowns for field goals. Which makes sense but when you are struggling sometimes confidence is just scoring points even if it is only a field goal.

Oh yeah and because he has his head up his ass.

  11. Nate Swift said:

“We work our butts off everyday at practice four or five times at week. On and off the field, watching film and everything to. Everyone of the past three games I thought we were really prepared for, we just did not go out there and execute.”

It really kicks me in the gut to see players blaming themselves like this. I'm sure they've heard BC tell the media that they just didn't execute often enough that they believe it. I think they do execute a poor game plan and poorly-coached techniques well. If you teach people to perform badly and teach it well, they will go out an look like the biggest incompetents in the world. So, IMHO, they are doing exactly what they've been taught. They're great players, but they don't come in from HS knowing how to be perfect players at this level, so they have to learn whatever they're taught. Of *course* it makes sense to them and seem like it ought to work-- it's the only thing they've been taught. So, yeah, I hate to see them pile on themselves like this :(

And did the coaches teacher him to drop a punt return and how to turn it over to A&M.....did the coaches teach him how to throw one hand up at a sure touchdown pass from Sam Keller in the second half?

I hate to defend Callahan but this is a good point. That dropped punt was a major turning point in the game. There was fan sitting next to me at the game that yelled "Callahan you suck" after Swift dropped that catch. I was like WTF? We need to remember that when it comes down to it, the players just need to make plays sometimes. But when the score is 42-6, 45-14, 36-14 the last three games. There is more wrong here than the players executing. It is preparation. (Or the lack there of)

I know you can't compare college to High School but my High School team were State runners up. We practiced balls to the wall full contact Monday through Wednesday and then had a walk through practice full speed with no pads, no contact on Thursday. If we werent practiceing in full pads I know games would have kicked my ass physically.

I guess my point is that Callahan is a terrible coach for many reasons and I like the idea of burying him in the sandhills on that guys ranch but the players are still not making critical plays at times.

  12. Ganz don't even get to come in when we are down 30 some with 5 mins left in the game.

they probably should let him play when the game is over by the 3rd quarter. Plus everytime arizona state wins it looks like they made the right choice.

I don't think that Keller is our problem. He's made some bad throws the last couple weeks but its still hard to through from lying on your back. I think Ganz would get rocked even worse.

  13. I'm excited! The old tunnel walk this year was frankly, embarrassing.

A few weeks ago I was having a hard time describing to a buddy why this year's version was so bad. "Embarrassing" is the perfect adjective! Like a really bad commercial. Very lame. Shouldn't be too hard to generate a tunnel walk that would get the crowd into a frenzy. All you'd have to do is show old Husker glory-day clips and you'd be fine. Glad to see they're re-vamping it!

This years tunnel walk was like watching old people F@#$

You wanted to look the other direction

  14. These changes would be great but, what about recruiting? Can we save the class we have for next year? It is probably worth losing a few recruits to get Cally out.

Or will T.O. be able to save the recruiting class?

  15.

They are trying to get Bo Pelini

    [/quote

I think Bo Pelini is exactly what Nebraska needs. I am sick of hearing about players "not being fired up" to play and "we just didnt show up today". The lack of motivation on the sideline is sickening. I get more excited for the games then most of the players.. I thought Pelini's fire was great for the program.

Bring someone in that has more love for the tradition and dedication to a program so many people in this stay live and die for. Everything that Nebraska stands for ended in the Pederson-Callahan era. Not just Football success, values go along way and Pederson would rather stab a guy unless he was donating money. Pederson was an Arrogant @#!$ that had to go. Today is great for Nebraska.
