  1. listening to USC now............

    Post practice interview...........

Pelini says: Helu was out of practice because he was sick, doesn't think he will be out of the game......... He said a few other guys were not at practice today...........

Pelini dispelled the rumors, but said there are a few guys that are sick.......... So guys are sick but not necessarily the flu, let alone h1n1

Then again, Bo doesn't use a lot of words................

Not as worried about it as I was a hour ago, but the thought that Helu was out of practice is concerning.............

Pelini say's in his Audio that Helu could of practiced today. And that he was not going to practice anyway's today. When asked if it would be his Normaly's starters on thursday Pelini reply'd with a yes

  2. I am on Rivals on Mizzou's home page and I found a link entitled "like Father, Like Son<Husker's come calling". In this Article it breaks down the Advantage's that they think Mizzou has, and the dis advantage's that mizzou has.

Advantages: One of the Writers say one of the biggest Advantage's that Mizzou has Is the Player's Drinking the Red kool-aid just like there fan's. Second advantage Nebraska Linebackers and secondary can't cover Mizzou's recievers. I Laughed at the first Advantage when I saw it, the second one i cant really say for sure, We havent played any reall good reciever's but then Again Mizzou has not played any real good Defence's .

They do go on to Say that Nebraska has gotten better, but is not back yet, which Is a fair assesment. What are all your thought's about the Advantages they have listed for Mizzou??

  3. Factor most likely to sway this prediction in MU's favor: MU minimizes NU's rushing game and gets a rushing game of its own going.

MU will find out that they are probably not very effective at stopping the run, especially the B12's leading rusher.

    38-23 'skers

I would say 38-23 is a fair asessment If Nu come's out and get's thing's rolling early we will be tough to stop. I wonder If Suh has A gps System installed for Gabbert?

  4. I agree with all of you, I do Have one ? though I know Helu is good, No Wait he is great! Will He be able to have the same Success agAinst, MU, TT, OU And KU? If He does i Believe our D is good enough to to keep us in these Game's and When Lee Get's More Road game experience and get's the ball to the recevier's efficently. WATCH OUT! Because I believe we we be able to move the ball On Anyone

  5. So When We Beat MU, TT,OU, KU, Are people still going to be saying the same thing? I have noticed with some of Our fan;s when we win, we are the greatest team around, When we loose they want to throw the team under the bus. Building a program like the 90's take's time, it doesnt happen in two year's Being ranked in the top 25 is Higher ranked then the team has been in like 3 year's. I For one am Happy to be ranked. We could be like some team's go 1-11 each year and never make a bowl game. Have Faith the team will get better Just take's time

  6. Over-rated until proven otherwise.

So because we lost to a team ranked in the top 15 by 1 point we are OverRated? I think ranked 24 and 25 were we are right now is good, it is not like we lost by 7 or more point's to a team we were not supposed to loose to

  7. 28 Carries.

    169 Yards.

    6.0 ypc.

Against one of the best defensive fronts we will face all year.

I know this isn't as intriguing as calling for Cody Green or ranting about O'Hanlon . . . but wow. What a game.

Best game of His Career. Roy will Keep us in some game's this year as will the Defense Lee wil learn from his mistake's. I still think this team will Have a great season. 10 wins is still very possible, Yes it will be Difficult to get 10 win's but i still think it is possible

  8. I figured this thread was going to be posted eventually and I might as well be the one who A) gets flamed for starting it and B) get it started early..

We were 19 and 18 in the AP and Coaches Poll respectively. Where do you see us going from here? My prediction is we stay in the Top 25. Maybe around 22-25.

I would guess that we drop out and return only if we beat someone who is decent (say Mizzou) and beat all the creampuffs (Lou Lafayette). But at 2-1 and after such an embarrassing self destruct NU will need to show somebody something before they move up much.

They could simply drop to 24 or 25 as well this week and not entirely out --- but they really do not deserve to be a top 25 team. NU is not a top 25 caliber squad. At least not now.

No I dont think we drop out of the top 25, we lost to fairly decent team that was ranked higher they we are

  9. We are going to beat the bricks off Mizzou, n/o to them. We are going to win the north this year. There is not a defense in the North that matches what Tech had. I know the offenses are more prolific, but our D played lights out. We shut down TTaylor the whole game and the run game after the 1st. The only other game I see us potentially losing is to OU.

Im glad someone agrees with me and sees the potential this year. :)

I agree, I honestly thing Lee's main problem with hitting reciever's was because of the pressure he was gettting. it was His First Start on the Road, I believe he will get better. And the Defense is very sound, they played a great game yesturday had 3-4 plays gone our way we win that game pretty easily.

  10. I can Definetly see 9 Win's But I can also see the team Learning from the mistake's and winning 10 or more game's. With that said, the team could fall apart and loose the rest of the season But I highly highly Doubt that happen's :) It is a tough loss no doubt, BUT we still have alot of game's to play. We can still have a great season!! And I Believe we will still have a great season

  11. Lest we forget, this was Lee's first game on national TV, in front a huge crowd, with a lot of pressure. I think this week we should cut him a little slack. Besides, he didn't lose it alone.

Just my opinion but it seem'd as if VT Gameplanned to rattle him being his first Road game. seemd they rushed him alot with blitz's and pressure

  12. And the thing that I believe will fire the team up the most is they Know they had the game in the bag untill the end. I bet if u go back and play that Last drive 10 time's over i bet the D would not of allowed that to happen

Except this happened last year against T tech too.....It was like i was watching the same game

I agree. But After One loss I,m not ready to throw the Offense under the bus like so many other's I have seen seem to be. It is one loss to a relitivley good team. I mean honestly there is a reason that Vt has been ranked in the top 25 for the last 5 year's

I'm referring to the defense when they threw the deep ball to a wide open receiver for the win, but no i agree the offense will be fine. VT knew lee didn't have any experience in this kind of game so they just blitzed him every play like Washington did to usc today

Exactly, He will learn how to play the blitz and How to adapt on the fly. I,m disappointed But I,m not willing to hang the season On a game against the Number 13 team in the nation.

  13. And the thing that I believe will fire the team up the most is they Know they had the game in the bag untill the end. I bet if u go back and play that Last drive 10 time's over i bet the D would not of allowed that to happen

  14. I agree, Beside's for the Big kick return, And the pass at the end Tyrod Taylor and the VT offense Struggled. As did our's. I do believe this is a building block for us though. I remember last year the Vt game was kind of a wake up call i think the guy's knew what had to be done. Yes OU And Mizzou trashed us, BUT the game today SHowed me that we can Play on the road in a hostile Enviorment. It was Lee's first Start on the road I,m not ready to throw him Under the bus just yet. Infact I Honestly dont think ganz or Z.taylor could of done much better to be honest. I,m still Confident in this year and I will be win or loose!!

  15. Well, I couldn't find the NCAA rule, but here's the NFL rule; I believe they're the same:

"if a player goes to the ground in the act of catching a pass (with or without contact with an opponent), he must maintain control of the ball after he touches the ground, whether in the field of play or in the end zone. If he loses control of the ball, and the ball touches the ground before he regains control, the pass is incomplete. If he regains control prior to the ball touching the ground, the pass is complete."

Gotta hold on throughout the process of hitting the ground...not just the first knee down....it's not called very consistently though...

Ok, good to know. Do we fall in the ranking's?

  16. I,m Not A football genius So hopefully some of u can help me out, Why was the Td in the 4th Called back? I know one of the time's there was a hold, but the time i,m talking about is when they called it Incomplete? Meno's Knee was clearly down in bound's while he had possesion so why was it ruled incomplete Any help thanks
