  1. When I made this Post it was intended to be harmless humor, but some people took it the wrong way which is understandable, Sorry if I caused problems for anyone. This post was supposed to be a joke

If thats true, you'd better be careful:

Only one account is allowed. Creating multiple accounts is not permissible and will result in the closing of all accounts.

Thanks for the reminder, I saw that in the rules after I made the post

  2. I stole the below from another board. It validates what I have been saying all along --- Pelini is inheriting far less talent than did Callahan --- and that the talent level at NU after Callahan is worse than it was when Callahan arrived.

I saw this posted over on BigRedReport by most excellent poster HuskerDynasty :

Callahan inherited no less than 26 guys that went on to sign NFL contracts. I guess we'll have to wait four years to see if Bo has that many, but it's pretty safe to assume it won't be much different than that. In fact, if you look at all-Big 12 selections, Bo is coming into a much worse situation talent-wise. Bo is inheriting 1 2nd team All Big 12 and 4 Honorable Mentions. Callahan inherited 3 All Americans, 4 1st team All Big 12, 1 2nd team and 5 HM.

Callahan inherited seven heralded players (All American or 1st team all conference) and left Pelini with 0.

    Zero. Nada. Not one.

People forget that in Callahan's recruiting classes ca. 1/2 the players who were highly rated are gone (did not make grades, discipline trouble, washed out, or did not pan out). Also, the vast majority of the high profile players that NU courted (and in so doing got everyone so enamored of Callahan's recruiting ability) chose another school with NU as the # 2 option. The impression is that of great recruiting --- the reality is very different.

Pelini has inherited a team with mid-conference talent, perhaps in the # 5-7 range in the Big 12 and no better than the top 35 or so nationally.

Bear this in mind as Pelini goes into this season. Seven wins will be quite, quite the challenge --- and Pelini is a great coach --- he may get NU there --- may get 7 wins --- but expect no more (hope for, sure --- expect, no, that would not be realistic).

My question is who do U have beating us At home? even if we Loose to Vt, Mizzou,TT, OU, And Kansas, that would mean we would have to loose to either Iowa state, Baylor,Kstate, cu, W.Michigan,San Jose state,or new mexico state to have worse then a 7 win record

  3. IMO I would rather Of had the record's we had when Solich was here then watch the Callahan, Kosgrove circus!

And on another note I dont think it would have mattered if he had hired Bear Bryant there will still be people out there that dont like a coach, But the thing I have to ask is could they do Better as a coach?

  4. The coaches suck and need to go IMO, BUT I SUPPORT THE PLAYERS 110% After what I heard On Big red reaction I honestly feel For these players They dont deserve to be treated Like they were! and here is what I mean SOmeone called in and said there * year old was down under the tunnle when the players went back in and from what they said NU fans were under their telling the Players that they should Cut the N off of there jersey's they dont deserve to Play for The university, And I guess the same "fans" told the young man That it was pathetic to Root for a team like this. CMon if Our fans actualy did say this that is Just wrong! but thats my opinion

  5. I talked to a family member Of Mine that lives in the Lincoln Area today And he said the Attitude around Lincoln Is Not very good ( Very understandable) He said with all of the Millions of dollars that has been donated to The football program and the University the He Really would not be surprised if something was done about this in the next 48-72 hours. I dunno what he was trying to say, but He does make a good Point, all the people Exspecialy Osborn ( from what I understand Didn't he donate the money for the new North end zone? ) that have donated money Might possibly Have an Impacted on Replacing the coaching staff, A.D, What ever we need to replace to get Nebraska Back to where we were at in the 90'S

  6. I thought I saw Bowman limping a bit. I definitely saw Green get injured. Probably the same stuff as the Wake game.

I would be seriously worried about Byford's ass, too.

just found this on red sea scrolls

Bill Callahan said Andy Christensen is out for the 2007 with a "knee" injury. Callahan said Bowman is fine.

  7. I posted this in another thread, but a friend of mine told me that On 1 on USC's possesions we missed over 20 Tackle's! that is insane and can't happen if we want to prevail in these game's

The stadium was absolutly insane the first quarter and for some of the second quarter, it seem'd as if we were able to move the ball down feild and for the most part were able to stop their offense. The after we score the field goal to go up 10-7 (and believe me the stadium was jacked up after that), and we kick off they get an injury that seemed like it took for ever to get the player up and off the field, But after that We totaly lost momentum and things started to get ugly. Did anyone else notice that?

    Nobody else knew that.

Oh, except almost everybody on this board who has posted that one time or another in about 10 different threads.

my bad for reposting it :P just hadn't saw it in the thread's i had been reading

  10. It takes an entire LB corps to bring Castille's honkin' ass down. A guy with his power, freshmen, senior, or whatever, is my answer to an SC squad. Lucky will be the guy, but if we're midway through the second and he's still putting up 1.5 yards per carry, bench his ass. He'll have proved that he isn't getting the job done, and you might as well give another back the chance to make some plays.

:bonez And USC must be razed to the ground. :bonez

The entire LB corps? Hell I thought it was damn near the whole team :D

  11. Don't sell Lucky short. He was a work horse against Wake. The more I see of him this year the more I'm impressed.

I do however, wonder what happend to Cody last week. Didn't see hide nor hair of him. Castille has got me excited about the future...BUT...he is a freshman. He could (I said COULD) get that "deer in the headlights" syndrome against an opponent like USC. I, for one, would sure feel a lot better knowing Cody is a viable alternative to Lucky this week. That said, I would like to see Castille get a shot to prove me wrong as well.

I agree with both of you, To me it doesn't matter if It is Glenn or Castille in there for short yard situation's they are both Very good, If I remember right didn't USC have a hard time Stoping Glenn for the most part last year? maybe i,m wrong on that not sure !
