i am an active reader on these forums cause i believe a lot of you users know a lot about what you are talking about and i respect that.. but its sad to see this garbage you write about about these 18-24 year olds on the forum.. i am very good friends with many of the players on the team and specifically ones that your are very heated with. the tradition we have is unbelievable, but i have a problem with so-called "husker fans". we go through slumps, bumps or whatever.. but some of you are straight up hypocrites... PLease be supporters of these guys even with wins or losses .. husker fans are the best supporters and HATERS at the same time! give these guys a break.. no one wants to lose but there will always be a loser in a game.. they go to school, are still maturing as adults, and juggle a some what normal social life.. and i know for a fact all these guys feel the state of NEbraska on their shoulders.. they are embarassed to walk into class, walk down O street to get food because of the looks and anger given towards them from "fans".. LET THEM BE! cant take back the loss, look forward.. They are students of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln .. STUDENTS! take this for what it is.. if you dont care cool... but c'mon .. so much negativity..
I don't post often, but feel the need to this one..
I don't quite understand your post. You say because there 18-24 we can't criticize a poor performance? We have many 18-24 year olds in battle right now, that take much more criticism than this everyday. Heck they cant even have a funeral without some group protesting it. When I was 18 I was standing in Somalia with a m60. Fast forward a few years and my daughters unit in the 82nd got deployed this year. Some people need to grow up if they can't take a little criticism. Personal attacks are different. But I havn't seen any yet.

We need to play tough, this isnt tough. We need 2 quick long touchdowns to not look like
Need more than two...

When I don't have to worry about us just pulling through a game we should win easily.....

found that were on the home side this year...

We Home or Away down there this year for the North?

You forgot to add, seatbelts will be added to the stadium so fans cannot stand up.

Atleast one or two long drives with a touchdown.

Iowa loses out
Nebraska wins out.
We play in the outback bowl.
If we win out I want it all!! BCS bowl...

that does about sum up the offense.. and really shows how good the defense has come around.

Seeing the excitement in the players and coaches after they just won against OU. From the Leap into the stands, and the high-fives.

How did he ever get hired anywhere???
-
I go to the games for the "Atmosphere" the "Energy" and the "Excitement" what does that have to do with people saying because we stand that we now don't like our grandparents? Which I have none left in this world, as I am not that young.

someday only sitting and clapping quietly will be allowed. But if you get too rowdy and clap to hard "out you go" If that day comes that will be the end to football as we know it now. No fans, no program.

I see. So a person who stands at certain points during a game is rude and inconsiderate, but the person who does not want them to stand is not? The guy standing is ruining someone's fun, but the guy wanting that person to sit is not? Do you even listen to yourself?
Once again, I have yet to see a single person in here advocate standing all the time outside the student section or even be inconsiderate to those around them. I think there are some elders in here making lots of assumptions. But yeah, it's the youth that's always in the wrong...right? lol
I'm waiting for the fan to get arrested and taken to detox for cheering too loud!!!!
NO punching someone shouldn't be allowed and rightfully he should be and i'm sure will be prosecuted for that. But this is America, and Nebraska Football. Not soccer in the Soviet. Next you'll get papers to appear in court because the person you sat next too now has rining in there ears because you yelled at the game. or they pulled there ham when they had to stand up 45 times during the game because you stood up in front of them. give me a break, throw the ones out that cause trouble. But to say a personal can't stand and cheer is a joke. put a section in of sitting only if that's the case. But I think 3/4 of the stadium stood most of that game saturday anyway.
I will add, that if one time during the game someone behind me would of said they couldn't stand or even asked that i sit, i would of just moved over or went to the isle. out of respect. (but that's a choice) but when it becomes a rule that you can no longer sit or cheer, then it's not respect, it's a rule.

I was there. It was so crazy, a guy by me shot off a bottle rocket. Respect.
And it flew over my head. Pretty awesome tho to say the least.
i was in section 27, was the loudest game I had ever been to there. I still cannot talk today. I can barely whisper when I get out of bed. All worth it. Took my son, it was his first Husker game. He is still yelling the chants running around the house. He says it was the greatest day of his life.

Offense has no intensity, no heart!
-
I far as I concerned the game developed after their first possesion deflection catch.
i'm tired of trying to figure out who should of.. or who could of.. or why didnt' we catch a break..they just need to play better on offense.
Will you let your sons or daughters play football?

I have 2 sons, both play. Oldest is 10th grade, very quick feet normally a select soccer player. Younger is in 7th grade and will be a monster, if he stays healthy, he is extremely strongand has a great love of the game. He plays in junior high, and a Club team, there season is still going.
