  1. Not sure why Callahan would resign unless he gets more money to leave...otherwise he wil stick around until he is fired.

If he really is gone and thinks he is, I do think we should do it now so we can keep contact with current and potentional recruits -- not sure what Callahan's motivation is to keep up with these kids at the moment is...unless he really sticks to be profrssional about his job (questionable?)

Sipple's ideas and nive, but just that...ideas...would be nice to see though...

  3. Welcome to the Bottom 10 as put out by ESPN each week. Those of you who follow Buffalo (Turner Gill's Buffalo), will recognize this place as Buffalo was a perennial member of this pillow fight club.

As stated already, the number 5 spot is reserved for a good team or program that did the most to embarrass itself in the last week (think Michigan after losing to App state). In a rare case when two teams have does such great things, the number 10 spot is also used.

Not exactly a place where we like to see the Cornhuskers, but it also will not be a permanent home for us.

As for the person who asked about Notre Dame not being on the list...ND is probably the best 1 win team in the nation (and I REALLY HATE ND). I am not so sure we would want to play them at this point. Even with their pathetic offense, I think we would be in trouble...and that is just not right. :madash

  4. The received the email yesterday that this post is sourced from and while one would like to believe some of the hype in the letter, I would question the authenticity of this particular email.

Have not gone back and checked the headers yet (and cannot from my location today), but it is just seems too convenient (or good) to be true.

Trust me its from someone in the U!!! Dont want to say who, dont know if it could get people in trouble

Why would I care about anything said from someone in the "U" -- :)

Sorry, but I am a graduate of the "U" -- University of Utah -- :woo

Anyhow -- will not be disappointed if it is true...just will have to wait an see...

  5. I believe the essence of the rumors (that changes will come sooner rather than later), although I'm sure there are certain details that may be muddled or changed from moment to moment.

    I Agree..

I don't think it's a matter of TO being dishonest, but it does seem like he's choosing his words rather carefully to be very diplomatic, and to allow some flexibility in how things are handled. He could decide tomorrow to dismiss BC & KC because of new developments that caused him to reevaluate his plan. That wouldn't make him a liar, it would just mean that he adapted his thinking to the ongoing, fluid situation.

I believe Tom is being very diplomatic, but I also believe the decision has been made to remove this coaching staff. Given the contracts, changes needed, people (and egos) involved, I believe this is more CYA speak than anything.

I keep thinking back to Tom's press conference and the number of times he tripped up with talking about change, just to back track and say if any are made, or maybe none at all, etc...

  7. Wasn't he supposed to redshirt?

Well, atleast Cally is trying something different

It seems like he's burning redshirts as a big "FU" to all of us. What a prick.

Maybe Callahan thinks he can win a game by playing the freshman...more like a desperate move to try and save his job?

Or maybe it is a big "FU" to all of us...

  8. I agree with him. How can you not. He's been on the money lately. Keep it up IBR, we always love your info.

While I had an email forwarded to me today that would confirm most of what IBR has stated, I still am somewhat skeptical.

There does seem to be several items and rumors that support IBR:

    1. Rumor of Callahan's daughter telling a friend the other day that they would be moving.

    2. Callahan not wearing Nebraska gear at press conference.

    3. Two different sources rumors with similar coaching changes.

    4. The way the OSU game was coached.

And yet...it just all seems to good to be true.

And why wait until after the Texas game? Did Callahan find a way to convince Dr. Tom to give him a chance until then? Does Bill think he can hook up with an NFL team by then? Are there any other good conspiracies? :)
