Nice dodge on the resignation question. Says A LOT! Bye Cally!

wow. TO better get on the ball b4 A&M goes after our man.... meaning BO. Good coaches are going to be in high demand this year. Come on Tom! Pull the trigger already!!!!
-
Name 1 good thing that Bill Callahan has done for the program.
Brought TO back.

For me it was a little later...it was the missouri game this year. I was always positive and found excuses to defend him to everyone and I just got tired of it after that game when he gave me no reason to support him as coach anymore. It took me a while but I saw the light!
I'm with you. I knew it would take time to build a team back up after FS got the boot. And I was willing to be patient. But this year should have been the break-out year, even after loosing some good players from last year. And the USC game... well they were the #1 team in the country right? But after that nightmare in Mizzou, the scarlet colored glasses fell right off my face, and I could see clear as day that Billy just plain sucked.

I like Sam and think he's a pretty decent player. He definitely has a winners attitude. But he can't do it all by himself. He's gotta have guys around him who can block and catch too.

Nate Swift said:
“We work our butts off everyday at practice four or five times at week. On and off the field, watching film and everything to. Everyone of the past three games I thought we were really prepared for, we just did not go out there and execute.”
It really kicks me in the gut to see players blaming themselves like this. I'm sure they've heard BC tell the media that they just didn't execute often enough that they believe it. I think they do execute a poor game plan and poorly-coached techniques well. If you teach people to perform badly and teach it well, they will go out an look like the biggest incompetents in the world. So, IMHO, they are doing exactly what they've been taught. They're great players, but they don't come in from HS knowing how to be perfect players at this level, so they have to learn whatever they're taught. Of *course* it makes sense to them and seem like it ought to work-- it's the only thing they've been taught. So, yeah, I hate to see them pile on themselves like this
And did the coaches teacher him to drop a punt return and how to turn it over to A&M.....did the coaches teach him how to throw one hand up at a sure touchdown pass from Sam Keller in the second half?
The main problem with this team is that at the least little sign of adversity, they fold. This hasn't been the case all season, but definitely the last three games.
I think that comes from lack of vocal leadership within the team. You think guys like Wistrom or Peter would let their teams "fold?" Hell NO! They'd be knockin' heads in the huddle.
I really haven't seen or heard of anybody, on this team, gettin' in a teammate's ear for messing up.

good for him. there are a lot worse jobs then coaching at NDSU.
Like Minnesota?
Yeah Minnesota is 1-7 this year. Ouch!
-
My thoughts exactly. Been there, done that! Don't wanna do it again.

Craig Bohl's NDSU team beat Minnesota today.

They say he's "sure to be a hot candidate for any coaching vacancies in the offseason, including a possible opening at Nebraska, his alma mater."
Um thanks, but, no thanks.
WE WANT BO!

Joined today just for you IBR. Would love a PM also please. Thanks in advance.

to answer the question of the topic...
yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes and yes....
I agree. Would love to have him with the right assistants.

Don't worry. They're gone. Maybe not today, but they are gone. Don't think they will want to stick around at this point. Fans will run them out even if TO doesn't.
-
Hope they hold a PC after the game announcing BC resignation. Had such big hopes for this season. What the hell happened?
-
At least we're seeing a "little" more effort this week. Think the former players on the sidelines are helping any? Early on it seemed like we were flying to the ball a little more and actually trying to hit somebody.

If you read the question that I was referring to, they asked if anyone from the university has asked him to resign. Not if he would resign. His non-answer tells me that YES, in fact, they have asked him to resign. Maybe he said no, but that wasn't my point here.
