Terrific first half... Scoreboard says it.
That being said, sitting here listening and watching Gamecast, it seemed that our rushing defense was soft. Can I reconcile that with the stats that say the D held them to 46 yds rushing? Timely sacks and picks, it seems. That is what a good defense does,isn't it? They make the plays when it counts.

At this point, I think I'd like to see the defense totally shut them down. They're getting good yards on most plays.

I second this. The name drama must stop. I think we all called Turner Gill, Turner Gill, not T-Gill.
We also wore Members Only jackets when Gill was our QB. I think we have to adapt with the times a little here.
We're not supposed to wear Members Only jackets any more?

I am totally fired up with a preseason top 10 ranking. IMO, it's about darned time. We've all waited a long time for it. Paint a bullseye on our back and bring all comers, kids tend to play up to - or down to - the level of expectations.
Do I think we're all the way back and have a cakewalk to the MNC? No, I don't have that much Koolaid. What I do believe is that these kids earned a lot of respect the past couple of years, especially the tag end of last season and that the program is reaping the rewards of some of that respect. Again, it's about darned time.

Just for the hell of it I'd like to keep track of attendances, so post em if you got em. If you know of teams that aren't holding spring games/scrimmages, post that too. Thanks to anyone that helps.
New Mexico Lobo Spring game attendance was 1,238. Dang... I just love the chances I get to get home and see real football.

Gentlemen... all the personal fouls and unsportsmanlike?!? That's not the Husker football I know and love.
We played tough and fought back. Yeah, we looked very rough in this game and undisciplined. Last year we would have lain down and given up. I'm proud of these guys tonight.
We definitely have work to do. Not the least on discipline.
