The 6-foot-4, 225-pound Young is a product of Olathe North High School in Kansas and was highly sought-after by the Jayhawks.

 

 

 

Kansas can have this D-end.. I'm so tired of 18 year old kids thinking they need to be the ONLY recruit at their position and need to be promised playing time without ever proving anything on the practice field. Kids need to get back to learning that they need to EARN what they get.

So we don't have to have FOX showing the game. The Texas/Ohio State game was painful to watch. Coming back from commercial in mid play. Showing replay of one play while the next play was already in progress. Maybe it's just me but that was some of the worse college football broadcasting I've seen for awhile, although still not as bad as versus.

I have to admit after the Va Tech game I was quoted at a party (and probably under the influence) that Suh would hurt us more with his penalties then he would help us. As I throw some BBQ on my crow I must say that I am impressed with the way he matured all year. Goes to show you that coaches see things that we don't when they are at practice every day. After the last few years it's become way to easy to jump on something going wrong. From this point on I'm back to true Husker and behind everyone 100%. Thanks for the effort Ndamukong and I hope to see you back next year.

I guess i need to confess that I am one that is guilty of the man crush. My wife thinks i'm a freak, talkin huskers 24/7 in the offseason. I even told her i was gonna put bogasm on my personalized plate. (she vetoed that idea ) I am just so flippin excited for next season and i can't remember being this pumped since the late 90's. The funny part is they don't even have to go undefeated for me.. just 8 or 9 wins for a couple years with heart and desire is good enough for starters.

Listening to 1620 yesterday they interviewed a sports reporter from buffalo and he said he thought it would be a possiblity for Turner to take an OC job at Nebraska

Is TO really recruiting? or is he still interviewing or possibly flying out to work out final details on a coach and just saying he is recruiting. I checked the tail numbers on the plane that flew to atlanta and I get this message.

I will say Bo is my first choice, but for his benefit wouldn't it be awesome if he took the r-kansas job and then kicked the crap outta LSU for years after all the grief he's been getting down there for having the 3rd ranked defense in the country?

Think how that would be if Frank came back? We'd be like the Yankees and Billy Martin ( ok maybe that show's my age)... firing someone then hiring them back everytime the replacement didn't work out.

Or............. maybe TO did contact him.. they were trying to keep it hush hush so not to be a distraction to the LSU team and thought they could sneak a plane into Baton Rouge and do the interview without nobody knowing, therefore the denial when asked??? hmmmm.... To bad if that's the case they underestimated the smarts or stalking skills of all of us. I seriously think TO has been around long enough he knows how it works and can't use learning the ropes as an excuse. If the LSU AD really didn't know wouldn't you think he'd be raising much more of a stink?

Doesn't LSU have one of the top rated defenses in the country? Playing in possibly the toughest conference in the country? I've been a Pelini fan just for the fact of the intensity that he brings to the field. (which I haven't seen here for oh about 4 years maybe?). Not sure if he's the right choice but I'm sure that TO is going to make the right call and if the team plays hard for 60 minutes every week I will back whoever it is 100%

I can see it now.. with all the Bo's ''in'' and Turner's ''in'' I've come up with my own situation. Tom is bringing them both, Bo gets the defense and Turner gets the offense after an hour scrimmage the best stats win the job. Seriously it's getting close enough now I think I can wait and I trust TO with whatever decision he makes. ( other than keeping the current staff )

I think I could cut them some slack as long as we were competing and the new coach embraced the tradition and more than that the fans. Something that dipsh*** never has done. I think that's what rubs me wrong more than any other one thing he does.

and another thing..... did i mention i was po'd?......... He just keeps thinking that a .500 record will get him the wildcard for the playoffs and he is showing that he's primed to make his playoff run.... geeeeeeeeeesh.

It's funny that last week I believe he said something to the effect that Ganz put us in a hole with the four interceptions. Well if it's good coaching when it goes well, then it's bad coaching when it goes bad. Don't blame the player for the bad game and then take the glory for the good game.. Apparently that development was in the last week.... What a loser... I am so friggin pissed. If by some freak of nature he coaches here next year I'm burning all my husker stuff and buying UNO tickets.

I have always wondered how Matt would do. He does a good job with basketball and when he was on during the Missouri game he seemed right at home in the booth. I think he would do good.

I know Chase had a good game... but I'm thinkin this is kind of a lack of respect now. Kind of the " anyone can do that against the husker defense " way of thinking.

I saw the video on the news at 5. Was incredible.... unbelievable....confusing..... mindboggling...unexplainable...... but it is what it is.....but most of all it was flustrating.
