Our sellout streak is a farce.  Numerous games where the visiting tickets returned weren’t sold.  And yes they should count toward a sellout.   Oregon nearly lost their streak for the same reason.  Florida’s did.  

Odd I heard from one of his family members that he was not coming to

nebraska but that TCU was an option. 

Auburn was talking about firing Malzahn a month ago.   They fired Chizik two years after winning a national championship.  

I read somewhere that if Leach left WSU that they were prepared to offer Grinch the head coaching job. 

Unfortunately my source who I trust is stating The odds of getting Frost are decreasing.  He may be leaning at staying at CF.   

They haven't validated student tickets for two years.

Well the same plane left this morning for Monterrey CA. About 30 miles from where Frost will be later today.

A little tip for those who don't have priority points. The donation levels are the minimum donations required for that area. When I wanted tickets I had no points and was told the minimum donation at the time was 250 but those with priority points would probably get the tickets. So I donated 275 per seat. I immediately moved ahead of everyone that offered a donation of 250 even those with points.

To clarify - not all seats in Memorial Stadium are season tickets. There are scattered single seats throughout the stadium that arent season seats and can be purchased for each game. I have bought these in the past when I needed an extra ticket.

In regards to the sellout streat I think it is questionable at best.

Visitor seats do count toward the sellout streak, or they should. Florida lost their sellout streak this season at 190+ games when they couldnt sell tickets Florida Atlantic returned.

A ticket office employee basically admitted to me they didnt sell all of the tickets to the first two games last year. This goes back to the single seats mentioned above. I had a single seat next to my season tickets the last two years. It was purchased as a season ticket this year by someone. Last year nobody sat in the seat the first two games. I assumed somebody purchased the ticket and sat elsewhere. I happened to need an extra seat for the South Dakota St game and called the ticket office to inquire if the ticket was available. They said it was. I mentioned I had hoped it would be since noone had sat there the first two games. The employees response blew me away. "It didnt get sold for the first two games".

I will agree with points and disagree with some.

I agree that the alotment of season tickets will continue to sell out for years to come. However you must remember that not all seats in Memorial Stadium are season tickets. There are some held back for single game sales. Not alot but some, probably in the hundreds. Then you must also add in the tickets not sold by the opposing team and returned to Nebraska the week of the game. A game such as next years against Western Michigan could have a couple thousand tickets available the week of the game. Will they sell...probably.

Having said that I personally believe the sellout streak is bogus and ended numerous times in the late 80s. I have had friends tell me they bought tickets at halftime of a number of games in the 80's. Also anyone who was at the Nicholls St. game last year knows dang well that wasn't a sellout. Unless of course there were 1000 no-shows who all happened to have tickets to the same section in the SW stadium.

Of course the "sellout streak" will continue because the Athletic Dept. will never admit that a game wasn't a sellout.
