I noticed that ESPN seems to be on the Suh train. Schlabaugh (sp?) tweeted that he was changing his #1 to Suh as were others.
Some guy from Sports Illustrated said basically the same thing.
Howie Long on Fox NFL Sunday gave Suh love as well. The one truly great thing about last night was that NU totally sank McCoy's chances.

This thread is funny. I can remember a couple of years ago when people were complaining that Asante WASN'T hitting anyone. Now he's laying the lumber every once in a while and people think he's a thug. The play against OU wasn't dirty. The play against KU was flagged and the team was penalized 15 yards, right? Coaches hate penalties. It will probably be addressed from that angle when the players watch film of the game.

I just chalked it up to a player who used that play against Virginia Tech as motivation to improve and become a better football player. Since he's a born Husker, the fact that we were playing OU probably made him step up his game that much more. I bitched after that play against Virginia Tech but his game against OU more than makes up for it.
If that win is the difference between us going to a mediocre bowl game and a good bowl game with a nice payday, he should be given the key to the kingdom for the rest of his life. Good for him.

At this point, I am convinced it doesn't really matter who the QB is. Both of them are not good. Just hand it off to Helu and let our D play. I like our chances more against Kansas, Kansas State, and Colorado with the Helu we saw last night. They will still be tough games to win though.
Looking forward to watching them!
Yup, I love it. Let's rock the ball control offense, tenacious defense, and an awesome kicking game. Play to your strengths.

I don't think we're going to see much razzle dazzle from either of these guys for the rest of the year. It seems to me that Pelini has decided that he wants to keep it vanilla and let our defense and kicking game win it for us. It's about fricking time.

Apparently the offensive line was supposed to block the animal out of the play so Suh could get right up the middle, but they've been shaky lately. He tried to turn the corner and ran into the sideline.

I'm having a hard time blaming Shawn Watson for this, but have no fear, I will find a way.
I think if this turns out to be true, it's pretty obvious that watching Shawn Watson's offense over the past month is what drove him to drink.
That wasn't hard at all
YES! Do it again but with Barney Cotton this time.

IOWA

That was a lot of fun to watch, good for Iowa.

Not to insult you OP, but a W is a W, no matter how you slice it. It goes in the win column, does it not?
I understand what you are saying, that it was a lack luster offensive performance in the second half and parts of the first. However, Helu is hurt, Trey is a true freshman in his first game, CG started his first game, we played a lot of young receivers today, and we still have quite a few guys on the line not buying into their role.
a W is a W.
ugly or not.
BTW-- injuries are hurting EVERY team at this point in the season.... even Baylor.
Exactly. I watch a lot of college football and there aren't a whole lot of teams that really impress me. Teams are really inconsistent this year. If it helps get you to a bowl game, a win is a win.
MELTDOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!111!!!!!!!

I was watching Sportscenter and they were saying he was clocked at 28.8 mph on that kickoff return last weekend. I'm sure it wasn't the most exact of measurements, but whoa. That's almost Usain Bolt fast.

Eric Crouch offering career advice and his thoughts on hanging in there and never giving up, no matter how difficult the circumstances might be.

Why is nobody talking about V-Tech getting beat by a crappy North Caroline team? Everybody made such a big deal about the huskers losing to V-Tech but looks like Tech is not that good anyways.
Neither is Nebraska, although Arkansas State is still trying to figure out how in the hell their game turned out the way it did.
So who do you think the starting QB should be tomorrow?
-
I'm sure for most of the day he's thinking, "I need to call Booster X so he can give the program a bunch more money."
-
Square one is better than square zero.
tusche except for the fact that these are games we shouldn't even have to worry about winning such as last weeks game, not only was it ISU it was ISU without starting QB and leading rusher. Same as Tech without starting qb, and now this week Baylor without starting qb and next week oklahoma without starting qb, im starting to notice a trend and im not liking it.
i see the trend too. hopefully we follow it and lose (or replace) our starting QB.

Parity in college football means that all of the fans of all of the mediocre teams have access to the same internet so they can complain about their team's offense. No team has more internet than anyone else.
Screw the BCS. Everyone is equal, comrades.

I hope they wait until helu is 100% before letting him take a snap.
FYI, my dad was listening to KFAB, they said 99% chance that Green will take the first snap.
Don't go biting my head off, I don't start rumors, i'm just saying that's what he heard on the radio.
Was he listening to Sean Hannity?

I'm hoping that win or lose we can have multiple threads, not one long thread, but multiple threads about who our starting quarterback should be.
I hope that the people starting those threads DO NOT read any other thread on the same topic with a very similar thread title. Because their opinion will be so different than the others.
I hope these threads can be full of stats, rumors, insults (both to players and other posters), opinions, re-interpretations of Bo's press conference quotes, focus of blame, spreading of blame.
I'm even hoping a few people will say they are no longer fans but most of all I'm hoping a few people will tell us all what REAL fans do.
I'm hoping we can have the same thing about Watson, Cotton, and Bo himself as well.
I agree! Cause...what else would we talk about then...
And another series of posts about the option offense and how it needs to be brought back and Bo should ask T.O. about it sometime seeing as how the work at the same place and all.

I think we should beat the rush and start melting down right now. Tomorrow night is Halloween and I'd like to have my melting down out of the way before I take my kid out to get some candy.

This team is as unwatchable as the Cleveland Browns right now. I don't think I'm going to watch too many complete Husker games for the rest of the year. College football is entertainment for me, so I think I might start watching other games that are more fun to watch. Sitting around for 3+ hours watching this team try to scrounge up more points than turnovers seems kind of silly at this point. I'll follow them but watching the game yesterday afternoon was a waste of three hours.
What is a waste is reading this board full of comments from spineless fans who aren't tough enough to follow the team through tough times. Sayonara.
I'm busy. I have a good job and a family. Of the time that I do have to myself, I'm supposed to spend three to four hours of it watching a team struggle to score SEVEN points against a mediocre team? It's entertainment, nothing more. It's not like it takes courage to watch awful football.
-
Austin, TX is about 14 hours from here, so I'd say that far.
-
How about we run the ball from the I like we were doing pretty effectively in the second half, mix it up with some passes, build a lead, and then play these young guys in the second half? Oh wai...

We're dealing with the possibility that Eichorst has no idea who the next coach will be and this will drag on into January.
Fun times!
