  1. "Bo's on record hating the fans and the media"

No he isn't. That was a private conversation where an angry coach expressed his "not true" feelings. How dare the "leaker" make that tape where he actually said those things public! The horror! The outrage!!!!!!!!!

The Bolievers are suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. These people dont live in reality. Its no different than someone sending you a tape of your wife cheating on you and you defending her right to do it.

  2. you have to consider the possibility that Bo does not like you, he never wanted you. In all probability he hates you. This is not the worst thing to happen.

We dont need him. If we are Bo's unwanted masses so be it. But first we have to give up, know not fear that someday Bos going to leave us. Its only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything.

We've all been raised to believe that the Huskers will win National Championships, Big Ten titles, Hero sandwich trophies but we wont and we are slowly learning that fact.

  3. It seems to me the Bo-backers are suffering from something similar to battered wife syndrome. "He only gets mad because he loves me so much". "He only tells me to go blank myself because he's so passionate". "I have to stay with him because no one else would want me". "Its my fault , I make him do these things"

    Its kind of sad really.

  4. Its a long time untill more football, with all the talk about tail gates and such, was wondering what you do after the game. Myself I either hit the downtown bars for a couple of hours then off to The Isle's for some pizza. Or go to a south side bar (avoid the cops) and either party it up, or drink away my sorrows. :wasted

If its on TV I guess I watch other games, hopefully eat some BBQ. Mmmm smoked meat.....

I usually celebrate the Husker Victory by overturning random parked cars then setting them on fire. If no cars are around its over to 72nd and Dodge to punch a horse or two then shimmy up a light pole and scream incoherently. Gotta support the team. :nutz

  5. I know all of you hate the idea of black uniforms....but if you would see them you might be ok with trying them for a game. Georgia changed to black uniforms for one game last year and it helped motivate them while it looked cool. So if you had some black uniforms, red lettering, and red pants or white pants or whatever (Idk about the black pants) for one game it wouldn't be the end of the world.

No I would not be OK with them if I ever saw them. Its wierd, I may not be as cultured as you, but I've seen a black uniform. If it ever happened, I would be depressed that my university had fallen so far as to try and glom on to a trend that the likes of TTU, Fresno St and the like have to do to motivate their players/fans.

And yes it probably would not be the end of the world. But I'm just going to say it, if there is ever a real OMG! B****** or black uni's, the terrorists win.

Going to all black would be the end of the world wouldn't it? Stock Markets would crash, cities would burn the streets would flow with the blood of the non believers. It would show how far the Huskers had fallen to act out of desporation almost like say...............wearing all white or wearing all red or changing the facemasks from gray to red or going from shoulder stripes to sleeve stripes or losing the pant stripes altogether or changing from white shoes to oh my God BLACK Shoes(which are not a school color) or maybe changing from Converse to Adidas or having the word Nebraska on the front of the jersey to not having the word Nebraska on the front of the jersey.

  6. He thanked Frank Solich numerous times. That showed a tremendous amount of class. I may have been harsh on him but he showed me something in the press conf. I'm on board the Pelini bandwagon(unless he gets into a fist fight with another coach during the post game meeting then I reserve judgement). Its done Bo is the Coach. Let all bygones be bygones and judge him on his job as coach.

  7. NU is gonna be kicking itself in a few years when Gill is at a major BCS school. I dont get how anyone could think Pelini is the better candidate.

pregunta por favor? Are you going to support the new coach if it is Pelini or are you going to be an asswipe like half of the husker fans the last time a head coach was hired? Because a coach might bebetter if he has the fan support behind him. Or are you going to be a little bitch and whine that your precious wasn't hired. FYI, I'm not a Pelini fan either but I'm sick and tired of little stupid sh*ts bitching if they don't get their way. If you are going to bitch and moan go support Iowa St.

Go Cyclones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow a guy questions a hire and gets called(indirectly) a "little bitch". Clearly an example of one of the "greatest fans in America" label being lived up to. :bonez

What is your major malfunction? You come on here and rip on Osborne yesterday , and rip on our fans today , while all along you're a ISU fan! Get lost! Actually , I see your time here being short lived. :asshat

Iowa State fan wow even an asshat like yourself should be able to recognize the sarcasm of the Go Cyclones coming directly from your post demanding the little b*tch to go support Iowa State. So by pointing out your hositlity I am ripping on the fans. Incredible. Then 'hskrdedhed which should be redneck sends me a PM filled with explatives demanding I leave the board. HuskerNation in full effect. :restore

  9. he should be caught, then steam rolled by the greatest coach to ever live Bear Bryant!

    yeah you!

    Im an asshat.......................................and you're a douchebag.

  10. Sorry, but that guy gets on my nerves. I can't get 1620 today for some reason, so I'm stuck with Perrault.

He thinks we'll get an announcement on Sunday, but how the heck does he know?

Also, Perrault is against Pelini and it's obvious he's setting himself up for shows of the future if Pelini comes and we don't have instant success. That should kill a lot of air time.

I happen to agree with Perrault. Bo will be Nebraska's Waterloo. I may be wrong but I think iot will go down as a huge blunder that will have people wishing for Callahan back.

  11. I think I just Bogasmed. Clean up on aisle three.

The question that I keep wondering, though, is how well would Turner handle being an assistant after being a head coach, especially when the man who he's under has no head coaching experience? If he's a humble man, which his interviews and such would seem to indicate, it wouldn't be much of a problem. But ego is ego, and everyone has one of a varied size. This staff would be dream come true for me, especially if you could get someone like the LSU linebacker/ST coach with all he recruiting ties to come on board as DC. As long as Bo is around, the defense becomes less of a concern regardless of the coordinator. With an offensive mind like Turner in the mix, I think we could see an amazing turnaround from this season.

As for continuity, if they can get a 9-10 win season next year with perhaps a Big XII Championship appearance, they're solid, provided there's no Callahan-esque relapse in 09.

Exciting times, gentlemen. Very exciting times.

What has Pelini done to deserve this god-like reverence? An Alamo Bowl victory over national powerhouse MSU? Because he showed "fire" on the sidelines and accosted Bill Snyder for scoring 38 points against Pelini's unstoppable D? Becasue his defense has been so overpowering this year they held Alabama to 43 Auburn to 24 Kentucky to 43 and Arkansas to 50?

If NU hires Pelini he will be gone within 4 years.

I don't have a God-like reverence for Bo Pelini. He's created monster defenses everywhere he's set foot. This is a well documented fact. On top of this his players would run through walls for him. He inspires people. When I look at the current needs of the team, motivation the top among them, he's an immediate light bulb because of his ability and availability. You point to a few games where his defense broke down (it happens, ask anyone, including McBride), one of which was against the greatest running back in college football.

Conversely, what has he done to get such devil-like animosity form you scant minority of naysayers? Is he the best fit? I don't know, but simple reasons would seem to indicate it. With Osborne helping him out and perhaps Gill running the offense, I have plain reasons for a lot of optimism. Any coaching decision is subject to the same stupid nitpicking you just did, but for those of us who live in the real world, Pelini at the very least makes a certain sort of sense.

Naysayer yes i am. The man has showed that he lacks class. One thing about Callahan is even after being drubbed senseless he had no problem with the other coaching staff scoring. Bo couldnt handle KSU putting up 38. He will not make a great HC his temprement is that of a firey DC.

Yeah, and considering that people never change or mature, I see your point. Never mind, Pelini is definitely a bad choice. One incident of a temper has shown me the light.

Good Lord, this is about as original as Friday the 13th Part 10. Get some new material. All the arguments against Pelini that your small faction reaches for are tired and worn. Again, you might be right, but based upon everything you've presented so far, you'll have trouble gaterhing followers. If Tom Osborne hands him the job will you still be skeptical? If the man himself grants Pelini and Co. his blessing, would that assuage some of your fears?

    X

No it wouldn't. Pelini is the wrong guy at the wrong time. But hey I'm just a sports fan what do I know. As far as gathering a small faction of naysayers or followers.............I believe the term would be space monkeys. :corndance

I think I read somewhere that Gill only makes like 300,000 this year for coaching at Buffalo.

I think we can offer a lot more for the OC position. That might be a reason to come.

And Bo beat Michigan, not michigan state

    It was Michigan St.

"Pelini was also interim head coach at the time of the Cornhuskers' 2003 Alamo Bowl victory over Michigan State."

    I fixed it for them

    It was MSU.......................................................................................... :hellloooo
