Dailey was a solid qb that got ruined by these coaches. HAd Barney and the gang stayed or any type of normal offense, he probably would of done well. He is not a West Coast qb and def. not a Callahan West Coast qb.
-
Callahan sucks way worse.

I too want pellini but would be happy to give TG a chance
I agree, I want Pelini bad, but if we can't get him, lets get TG.
-
Ganz don't even get to come in when we are down 30 some with 5 mins left in the game.
-
I enjoy matt, he's great. Yes he has a different voice but who cares. Get rid of Rose!
-
He is and should be gone at the end of the year at the latest. HE's never going to come close to getting it done here.to me if he wins 3 more games and keeps the rest competitive, he has earned the right to stay(esp if he wins the bowl game) that would be a best case senario really. we can replace coz, should be able to retain our recruits, and if cally doesnt win big next year we can get rid of him and keep his recruits.
that being said, I feel our basketball team has a better chance at making it to the final 4 then the above happening

What I'm saying though is that OU and Texass have the talent to be top 10 every year for a while. I don't disagree with the teams you mention, but OU and Texass have the pipeline full for Top 10 finishes for at least 4 more years and counting as long as they continue to get the top recruiting classes.
What is FTW?

He's going to come here and be head coach.

Isn't Pavelka doing the basketball games?
Yes
Rose works hard for his money by getting on his knees for Pederson and pleasing him.

Too many people looked at Lucky's 5 stars and assumed he was going to do what Adrian Peterson did. If you compare him to the other top backs from his class he's right on schedule. He had a significant impact on the offense last year both in the running and passing game - as a sophomore.
If he hadn't split time with the other 3 guys he probably would have had stats just as good or better than Jonathan Stewart (the top rated running back of '05) at Oregon and Jamaal Charles (also highly rated) at Texas.
His junior year is coming when he'll have the opportunity to be as much of a feature back as Callahan will have in this offense.
my take on the guy is IF he was as good as Stuart......he WOULDN'T have had to split playing time...he still isn't playing like a 5 star guy.....not that he is bad, he just isn't THAT good....
Not quite the whole story though. Lucky was a true soph and Bjax a (redshirt?) junior - one who played himself into the NFL this season at that.
Does this speak ill of Bjax that he had to split carries with Lucky? Not to me in the slightest. I think it means Lucky is not that far behind Bjax, and Bjax was pretty good.
It may be that Lucky turns out to be overrated, but he may also deliver on his ranking. His development from frosh to soph season was huge. How can we say he won't continue to improve and be great his last two seasons?
ok, and it may turn out that way......but i don't see Heisman stuff like an Adrian Petersen or a C.J. Gable from USC, who started as a freshman......i never saw the flashes that come right away as a freshman either.
as they say......."it's all good"......verying degrees of good or greatness? if he is that good, he should at least make all Big 12 this year, agree?
Glad to see we agree on something. Lucky will never be more then a average to below average big 12 back.

Lucky has to work on his vision and picking his feet up when he runs. He reminds me of Alexander at times the way he runs. His vision is very poor at seeing holes and knowing when to cut. He's good in open field.
-
There is a huge drop off from Lucky to Jackson. Lucky doesn't know how to cut and doesn't have near the power. Lucky is just fast. I have no idea why Jackson didn't play more. He looked great when he was out there. CAllahan has done this all year though, if you get hurt....your beat out. Look at Kurt mann.
Kurt Mann had Mono, any injury to the spleen or kidney could kill him. Mono is not something that you should try to rush back from, especially if you are going to try to play football.
Kurt Mann said he is full strength and was ready to go. Callahan has done this all year with injuries. You get hurt, then you are out. Quit sticking up for Callahan on everything, he's a quack.

better odds for a return and saving some time on the clock IMO...blocking a punt when they KNOW you are coming is a long shot..poor odds, waste of precious clock time......this one WAS a poor decision on cally's part, not really complaining, just an observation
Just another terrible coaching decision. Almost as bad as Summerall was.

He sure hasn't done much in recruiting for Alabama. He won't be half the recruiter of Blake but probably will be twice the coach as him, won't take much there.
-
The thing is, he would of never came here had he not been promised a scholie. He had already transferred once and this was his 2nd one, now he only has 1 year left to play because by rules he loses a year no matter where he goes. Raw Deal for him, coaches raked him over.
-
Broken Hand, out a few weeks and should be able to play in bowl game.
-
This is a much better season even if we are 9-5 imo. We played USC, UT, OU, and now Auburn. That is a very tough schedule for any team. We are a much better team than last year, and Callahan should not be on the hot seat imo. That said, let's win the last one!
We are Nebraska and you must remember that we fired a staff that went 10-3. 9-5 isn't going to cut it and we sold out everything so that we could win championships and surrender to Texas and Okie. Winning the North was like kissing your sister this year. Worst it has ever been. Next year better be 2 loss season or a lot of people will be on the hotseat.
-
ON Cryer's tackles, he was untouched. I think most people would have gotten in there when they forget to block you.
-
He should just be moved to WR, he's better at that then running back.
-
I know they have a great back, but they can't pass at all? An SEC team that can't pass?
-
I guess it depends if you consider 4 or 5 losses improvement against a weak weak big 12 this year. Weakest in History. Next year we better be much improved because the big 12 will be stronger and Wake, Nevada, and USC won't be pushovers.
-
I agree, it wasn't the defense's fault that we lost. Billy and Norvell should be getting the treatment that Cosgrove usually gets.
-
I got an idea, be a man and nut it up! If you want to play then beat out the other backs. If your not on the field than show up to practice and make the coaches put you on the field! Did Roger Craig quit when T.O. asked him to step down for Rosier? No he became a blocking fullback and went on to the Niners, nuff said!!
Sounds like he is kind of thinking about it but will see how the rest of the year goes.

I'd be surprised if Charles Jackson doesn't start.
