  1. I just found out that I am getting season tickets for this season and am ecstatic! They are in South Stadium, row 72. Could anyone give me an idea of how the view is from there? I haven't been to a ton of games so I'm just not sure. Is that pretty high up or is the view still pretty good?

    Thanks and GBR!

  2. I hate to always take and never give back, but any updated pictures? GBR

It's been a week....you think they'll already have the seats in or something? :P

Haha you're right, but he said the pictures were ten days old when they were posted so I was thinking that someone possibly had gotten some new pictures since then. Like I said, I'm greedy :)

  3. Huskers highlight Wyoming's 2011 football schedule

Laramie, WY - Wyoming fans will have an opportunity to see one of the nation's great, traditional football programs during the 2011 season when the Nebraska Cornhuskers make their first-ever appearance in Laramie on Sept. 24. Wyoming and Nebraska share a history that dates back to 1934 when they first met on the football field. The two schools' histories also include sharing legendary college football coach Bob Devaney, who served as head coach of both the Cowboys and Huskers during his College Football Hall of Fame career. UW and NU have played five previous times -- all previous games being played in Lincoln, Neb. The last meeting was in 1994.

"Having Nebraska play in Laramie is something I know many Cowboy fans have wanted to see happen for years," said Tom Burman, University of Wyoming Athletics Director. "Hosting Texas a couple of years ago was an amazing experience for our fans, but I expect Nebraska's appearance will exceed that game in fan interest.

"We anticipate the demand for tickets to this game will be the greatest of any game we've ever hosted at Wyoming. The only way for fans to assure themselves a ticket to the game is by purchasing a season ticket. We want to make sure that all of our fans have enough advance notice to be able to purchase a season ticket, and so that is why we are putting this information out as early as we are."

I think it's interesting that they say we're the "highlight" of their 2011 schedule, even though they host last year's #2 team, TCU (AP/Coaches). They're also using this as a vehicle to sell season tickets, a ploy which I'm sure will work quite well for them. I anticipate that their stadium will be 75% Red this Fall.

I can't tell if you're serious. We will be lucky to have more than 10,000 Huskers in the stadium, which is 30%.

  4. Is there a reason you guys don't try to get tickets through the Athletic Department?

    1) It gives you priority points, which lets you request tickets to away games, bowl games, and the Big Ten Championship

    2) It provides our athletic department with extra money, instead of some scalper

  5. When do they go on sale? Does the away allotment go on sale the same day?

It doesn't sound like you have much experience with tickets, so I'd just call the Nebraska ticket office at 1-800-8BIG-RED and they'll be able to answer all of your questions.

  6. The thing that concerns me is that they aren't really adding any new, "casual fan" seats, in fact it sounds like they'll be taking some away, and after they do this expansion, we can't ever expand again unless it's onto the endzones.....again.

They aren't taking any regular seats away.

  7. Without mentioning any names, I have some close friends and family in the facilities department at the university who have said that the planned expansion is basically a complete renovation of the east stadium, including the addition of skybox/club seating at the top. It is supposed to expand far enough that the statue will need to be moved, no idea where to yet. I've also heard that they've all but publicly stated that they'll break ground as soon as this season is over (Because really, are the reagents going to reject this?) to have it ready for our first season in the 10.

But you didn't hear it from me...

Are you talking about the statue of the Blackshirts tackling (murdering) that KSU player? If so, that is a LONG ways back!

  8. is bubba starling going to visit nebraska one more time their is a rivals teaser about him and does anybody hve any info on this?

He has 5 favorites which are Alabama, Kansas, Nebraska, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma but the two that really stand out to him are Nebraska and Notre Dame.

Whatever school he plans on attending he wants to do both Football and Baseball and will skip on the MLB draft.

He plans to visit Nebraska in the next couple weeks with his whole family and get to know the school more, what type of offense Nebraska runs, their QB situation, and more info on the Baseball team.

He has visited Notre Dame twice already and plans to visit them for a third time but said that he wants to get more info on Nebraska.

Looks like after both the Nebraska and Notre Dame trips he might visit Alabama but if anything he said that he'll be ready to commit by the end of June so he can get the recruiting process off of his back and focus on his senior year.

Huskerjock, why do you let freeriders in on information that you are paying for? Do you not read (or care) about the Tunnel Talk disclaimer? These guys will pay for Rivals bad enough if they want this info.
