I think the fairest way to do it is the dividing up the power teams in the bo and woody divisions having Neb and Penn St in the same and Ohio St and Michigan in the same and dividing it up evenly after that...
However i believe it will ultimately be divided up into an east and west division that was discussed earlier and posted on the big ten web site.
Also, i believe the name of the conference will stay the same.. what do the rest of you think??

On the play immediately prior to Lawrence's field goal, as the game clock ticked down Texas quarterback Colt McCoy rolled far to the right, with Nebraska's Ndamukong Suh in pursuit, and threw a pass well down field and out of bounds. The game clock ran out ending the fourth quarter, with Nebraska appearing to win 12-10. However, pursuant to Rule 12-3-6, the video replay official determined that an "egregious," and therefore reviewable, error concerning the game clock had occurred and ordered one second be put on the game clock. The ESPN/ABC video feed showed that McCoy's pass hit a stadium railing, out of bounds, with :01 remaining.
I think the argument is that the reason it was found to be "egregious" is because it was Texas and Texas controls everything from the way conference voting occurs by being backed by their 3 other sister schools to where championship games are played. Also, the argument can be made about how are the review officials placed in the championship game, by conference who is perceived to be run by Texas. Not saying that they hand pick them but thats what the perception. Its all cyclical. The bigger argument is whenever a play may not go Texas' way the "egregious" error is a slick way of benefiting Texas who the big xii rule arguably revolve around and voting for replay officials is dominated by Texas and their backing.

I think this is great for the University and for the football team. When was the last time Nebraska led the highlights on ESPN? This type of exposure is only a good thing for us.

ESPN is doing a pipeline to the NFL bracket... vote for the 'skers

Kevin Kugler just said on 1620 that Nebraska fans are posting horrible things on Owa's facebook page right now. I hate it when idiot "Husker fans" make the other 99% of us look bad by doing these kind of things or talking trash on other schools' message boards. Hopefully no 2011 recruits take a gander of Owa's FB page. Too bad we can't ban these bad apples from Husker Nation.
+ freakin' 1.
Shame on them. I hope Kugler called them out and ripped them a new one, as well as offered Owa an apology on behalf of Husker nation.
Hopefully Owa realizes that the majority of people making up fbook demographic are college students beginning the weekend alittle early and the majority of husker nation wish him good luck..
However, he should either fire the person that wrote his speech or look into taking a speech class while at UCLA.

How awkward was that speech?? I almost felt bad for him.

Rivals never once said that Brion committed. They have been very careful handling this situation. Why the HELL are you people comming on here saying things like "He's going to WKU", "His coach said he committed to WKU" It's really beginning to piss me off. The only report all day that Brion committed was the moron that wrote the article, which was quickly debunked. If you don't have a subscription to HI.com, don't read the teaser, assume what it says, and then "report" it on this thread.
ESPN also had him listed as committed to WKU.. maybe they had the same source but there are various sites that had reported his commitment.
i wouldnt really listen to espn when it comes to exact (if thats possible) and up to the moment recruiting news......
they most likely took the bait like everyone else did who was trying to claim they knew first what was going on... but as we see not everything you see is what actually is.........
Agree'd.. Just saying that there are various sources that have said he committed... possibly all from the same source

From what Sipple said on USC, Jason Ankrah will start next year and has been practicing with the 1's for awhile... And If I remember right Pierre Allen is only a Junior. So I would say Cam will have the same role as this year.
Link?
Because if this is true, it makes no sense. Bo is a firm believer in playing the best player. If Ankrah has been practicing with the 1's, then we would've seen him out there backing up Turner instead of Meredith.
Bo will gladly forego a redshirt to put talent on the field.
Dont have one... And dont you guys think if Meredith was better then Allen he would have started? Stats arent the whole story. Allen did a great job of turning people back inside to Suh and Crick.
Stats aren't the whole story? Someone better tell that to the Heisman voters.
I think the Heisman voters are fully aware of that, Gerhart had better stats then Ingram and look at the stats Suh put up from the DT position... the Heisman is based who gets the most hype and for the longest amount of time
-
could you imagine his cadence?
Blue you know, 42 you know, Blue you know, 42 you know, set you know, hike........ you know.
-
Lavonte David... remember that name boys.. hes going to tear it up next year. He will replace dillard in our nickel coverage.
-
I personally think we should go after Mangino... hell of an offensive mind and love his passion. Of course he would need a serious talking to about how those actions and words wouldn't be tolerated at Neb but i think it would be worth the gamble.
-
Gut reaction is that we need to bring someone in.. however our history with transfer qb's is pretty bad (Keller, Lee).. so i don't think that is an option
I'm not giving up on Green, I think he'll improve tremendously this offseason... he has an entire game of film to be evaluated on and has gained some good game experience... he needs to be our guy.. sorry if i was entirely sold that Lee is terrible before last nite, i am now convinced. Gabbert isn't the answer next year and Spano's knee really leaves doubt in my mind if he will ever be able to fully recover and trust it.
Our offensive line also as a lot of improving to do.. and we lose our biggest leader in Hickman too... We have two great recruits committed for 2011 and i know that does us no good for next year.. but it is a glimmer of hope for a bright future we will have under bo

The later the date doesn't necessiarly mean its a better bowl. It goes by bowl selection, and the holiday bowl selects a big XII team before the alamo.. therefore it is a better bowl... the cotton bowl gets the first choice of the big XII teams that didn't make the bcs and the holiday is next and so on...

I really think that what it comes down to is that Lee is a good practice player that works hard and is ahead of Green in practice. I really hope that is the case and that Green isn't a melon, because anybody that thinks Lee isn't a melon doesn't know a damn thing about football. Albeit that our line didn't help him much Sat. night but common, when you have 3 int and only 6 completions.. somethings wrong.
I've said it over and over on this board, Zac Lee just isn't a D-I qb... i just hope that Green can turn into one over the offseason because the sky is the limit next year with alot of defense returning and a fairly easy schedule.

We gotta start Helu and mix in Burkhead.... In the second half we gotta go with the hot hand.
Also, I agree that we gotta keep them fresh, Helu has proven to be far better in the 4th quarter then any other quarter... so maybe a heavy dose of Burkhead in the 2nd and 3rd..?

Mangino is still the coach right?
Do you not think if he was fired they'd have done it as soon as the season ended?
The reason for his firing not occurring immediately after the season is because they are "conducting an investigation" so that they can fire him with cause and therefore not have to pay his buyout

Were staying in Mansfield TX about 11 miles from the stadium.
Does any one know how the parking is at that new stadium?
Rumors from friends that have gone to Cowboy games is that parking is extremely expensive... may want to plan ahead.. just a heads up
-
Managed a pretty good game.. wasn't asked to do to much and still had a few poorly thrown balls but overall I was happy to get some production out of the Qb position
-
How many chances can one man get... hopefully he has a good game tho even tho in reality this is a meaningless game... kstate is the game we need
-
The amount you pay the first year you have tickets is what you pay every following year. Ex.) I started off at $1,000 and thats what I pay every year... the rate doesn't go up.. fyi

Suh being #1 on Kipers big board is going to be huge for Nebrasaka this off season for recruiting this year and the upcoming years.. I don't think we have ever had a player #1 on the board and all winter/spring Nebraska's name will continually be coming up on ESPN

Everyone can just relax with the QB talk. The fact of the matter is that we have below average QB play with two QBs.
Lee just looks scared. He doesn't lose the games for us, but he does very little to help us win. He's afraid of contact, he's not accurate at short to intermediate passes (his strength is long bombs down the field), and has no pocket presence.
Green is inexperienced and cannot read defenses for the life of him. He's very inaccurate when it comes to throwing any type of ball, and he still needs time to learn Watson's crap that he calls an offensive playbook.
If we are going to do well the rest of the year, we have to line up and run straight ahead because that is what our o-line is good at. None of the stretch plays toward the sideline or option runs. Sprinkle in some play action passes with Lee, and hopefully he can throw a decent ball every once in a while.
That's my take.
Agree with everything but having Lee in... Green needs to be in and using playaction for him to boot off of giving a run pass option

this is actually very well put and a extremely educated response... if only more Texans could put their arrogance behind them and have the logic you do the big xii conference could have survived
