  1. I think it would be a lot louder if NU was playing well and it was a close game. I will cheer if we are playing well and it's close, but if we are playing bad against a team we should beat easily and its close, I just get pissed off and don't want to cheer (South Dakota State comes to mind).

To me that's a perfect definition of a bandwagon fan. Why would you not be loud when the team needs you the most?

  2. They mentioned on unsportsmanlike conduct that a parent of one of the players said nebraska would come out in white jerseys as normal but with black pants with red stripes. Take it for what its worth. Just a rumor but kind of interesting.

the NUEquipment twitter just said Nebraska won't be wearing black

and then someone asked them who their source was

I don't think it really has anything to do with the players. According to @swmckewonOWH and @Sean_Callahan, NU Alumni Association is asking Nebraska fans to wear black at Wisconsin and yes TO's on board with the idea.

    Edit-Pretty much what DarkHorse posted!

  3. I'm not sure how many of you follow all the players on Twitter, but there are a few players (1st String) that are asking fans to wear black! I'm in! I wear black to all the home games anyway! I'm that piece of whale crap in a sea of red!

  4. That was two years ago...how is that relevant now?

Maybe you should read the first sentence of the OP. Seems to address this issue pretty clearly.

It's Fresno, I knew it would be a close game. We played pretty bad and we still came out with the win, I will take that. A year ago that would have been a loss for NU

  5. Honestly,

I don't think you guys had an answer for Chris Polk in either game last year. Your defensive line was soft in my opinion. Sure, you defended the pass very well against us, but this year we've added a massive tight end and an explosive Wide Receiver to our offense. OUr offensive line is much more talented than a year ago. If that offensive line from a year ago dominated the Husker defense, this one will part your defensive line wider than when Moses parted the Red Sea!

You still have Martinez, but I'll take my chances with Washington shutting him down than a team that has a scary passing attack.

My prediction, Washington in a rout, 36-10. (You get 10 in garbage time)

I doubt Washington wins in a rout. Washington just might win, but it will be close.

Washington just might win? Are you kidding me? Even if that is a strong possibility, which I don't think it is, why would you even say that? I'm pretty sure last year before our first meeting with them I read several similar posts.

What do you mean? If you think Washington doesn't have a solid shot at winning you must have missed Nebraska's first two games. Washington is MUCH better than Chattanooga and Fresno State and NU didn't look particularly good against either of those teams. Take off those rose colored glasses and watch Nebraska's offensive and defensive lines getting shoved around.

If I were setting the line I'd put it at about 5 in favor of Nebraska. I think Nebraska wins but I would definitely not be surprised if we lost.

I strongly disagree with the part in bold! Washington may not even be better then Fresno let alone MUCH better.

Does that mean we win or lose??? I don't know, I have faith that we will win this one, but I still don't think they are better then Fresno

Eh. Fresno is winless and Washington is 2-0. We'll see.

This is true, but Washington is 2-0 against 2 teams that are worse then Fresno also. To say I don't have any concerns would be lying, the only positive I took away form the Fresno game was that I am 99.9% sure that last year under Watso we would have lost that game.

  7. I hope it's not Chinooks! I would hate for our Government to think they are loaded with Special Forces and have them shot down over the stadium! Then we would have this whole crappy Black Saturday thing going on.

The Blackhawks would be pretty sweet! :worship

  8. Dish Network crew signing in. They've been good to me.

I am scheduled to have Dish Network installed next weekend. That had much lower prices for what I need and I get a free sling box which to me is an awesome deal. When I told the rep at the Cox store I was leaving them for Dish Network because the price was much lower they didn't seem to care and gladly cancelled my service.

The Sling Box is a very cool thing to have!

  9. I am also bored as hell, and on youtube. Can't sleep. Just noticed that an OU fan has uploaded the entirety of the 1971,1982, 1983,2000,2001,2008, and 2010 rivalry games. Thought I would share because I have been looking for a free way to watch the 71 game for a long time now, and after missing it today on espn classic decided to search again.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4079Ruhr7rc&feature=channel_video_title

video uploader has the other games along with alot of other stuff.

I love that Brut is the main sponsor of the game! Jim Rome would be proud! Give OU a Brut slap!

  10. I was a little suprised Keith Moon (Who), and Stewart Copeland (Police) got so many mentions...I liked the songs and the drum parts were fun to play along with..But nothing seemed all that extrordinary about the performances.

I grew up having my dad play Dave Brubeck, Max Roach, and Buddy Rich, and most of my life John Bonham and Neil Peart were my favs..Nice to see them represented..But my latest fav. (Joey Jordison/Slipknot) not even mentioned.

:woo Winner! Should be number one.

Joey saving Metallica in 2004 was the shiz nit!

  11. Just wondered what lines everyone waited in and got through?

We walked in, got in the receivers line and an hour and 20 minutes later after we got their autographs we left cause there wasn't enough time to hit another line.

  12. Interesting, I sold my XBOX as motiviation to get healthier just 3 weeks ago...

I gave away my PS3 about a year ago for similar reasons, not so much for physical health (although that played into it), but for mental and spiritual reasons.

I wonder if this will get a lot of publicity from politicians using it as a platform.

I just bought another Xbox for mental reasons, don't care much for anything spirtual................But thats another topic. I'm sure this story will just get filed in the sterotype file, everybody that plays video games are fat, have no job, no life and live in their moms basement. I play a lot of games, I'm not sure how I hold down a job, deal with 2 kids, have a life and stay fit as a fiddle.

  13. Yes this is awsome!! Cox is horrible and so is direct. Thankyou dish

I have to disagree with you about direct tv. Ive had it for 10 years now and theyre the best service provider Ive ever dealt with. My cousin has dish and his HD picture is nowhere near as good as mine. Plus he is always complaining about the customer service.

I have to disagree with your disagree. If his HD is not as good as yours it's either because of a bad connection or the type of tv. My HD on Dish looks almost 3D at times, thats not really a plus for Dish, it's the fact that I have a brand new Sony LED\LCD tv. Saying one customer service is better then the other is like argueing over the color black in the uniform thread. DISH has great customer service, but sometimes you are the lucky one that gets the idiot. I don't go off of what friends or co-workers tell me, I have had both Direct and Dish. I stuck with Dish because the signal didn't get lost in storms as much as Direct, Dish was cheaper for the same quality and more programming and they had more options on buying single channels. Other then that they are pretty similiar. One bonus for new Direct tv customers is that you get NFL Sunday Ticket for free if you sign up, If you have Dish just have your angry woman call and tell them you are switching to Direct, mine did and got us the Sunday ticket for about 75% off. I don't know about Direct because I wasn't with them very long, but with being a long time DISH customer my equipment upgrades are really cheap. I just got rid of our last old receiver and replaced it with a new 2 room HD\DVR receiver and it cost a little over 60 bucks and that was installation included.

Whatever you choose just be happy! We get a hell of a lot more free Husker football! :throwdabones1:

@Husker37, From what Dish told me, they are not a localized company like some of these Cable providers so the coverage in Nebraska is the same as everybody else across the nation.
