You can't blame Pelini for what he walked into, he just took an open job. You can't blame the lost recruits for leaving, there is no solid commitment here from the fans and boosters. I remember when Devany and Osborn struggled, we didn't like it but we supported the program and it proved to be the tradition. No matter what, support the Huskers or go be a Colorado fan.

I had OSU as the #1 seed and LSU for the #2 seed. LSU faced Oklahoma in the NC game, guess who won.

Tiger, I don't get the "TUFF AS RAIN" thing. Rain is usually gentle. Now if it said "TUFF AS HAIL".

Of the LSU recruits, C. Ahayere(DE) is rated 85 and R. Baker(OLB) rated an 80, for defensive players. Up to now our highest rated recruit is Stienkuler(OT) rated at 80. The coaching change kinda throws everything up in the air for both schools. IMO

Stienkuhler(OT) is rated our highest recruit, I would hope there is no waver on him. The rest may go but if and when Pelini signs, the only hope is he can pull in some talent.

I don't find the migration surprising. These kids have no faith that we will keep a coach or AD for the years they are here. Nobody thinks about recruiting when they are calling for the firings. In looking at what Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M are getting it will be many years before the Huskers will move out of the bottom.

Hang in there Huskertrucker, I agree with ya on the time to end it. However, I don't think the youngsters will ever be able to duplicate the past. It took integrity to make the Huskers what they used to be. Rumors will run amuck on the internet.

I think we should tell the Texas teams that this is just not working out for us. Let them have the Big 12, Start a new conference and call it the Big 8, invite:

And tell:

7. Colorado

8. Missouri

I think if you looked at it from Pelini's view the answer would be clear. With all the little bitch fans at Nebraska calling for the last 2 coaches and AD to be fired, would you take a chance? I think those whiney little snots are going to have a hard time getting anything more than some high school coach to look at the job. I think it would be great if Pelini snubbed us. We haven't showed any support for anyone in the near past. Now T.O. has had to come out of retirement to babysit a bunch of little brat ass fans. KARMA.

Any way of finding out what big schools have turned down the Huskers for non-conference games? I remember we used to play Alabama, Penn State, and Michigan.
