Welcome, Khiry! I'm glad to see him commit to us. I like the WR's the new staff has targeted. Potential 2 sport star. Sweet!

Sounds like a great kid!
Welcome aboard, Mr. Cooper!
Congrats...your getting a great kid, i wish he could've been a tiger but he'll be an excellent athlete in both sports. here's another story about his commitment. http://www.journalstar.com/blog/huskers.ph...p;tb=1&pb=1

Here is a link from the Shreveport Times today. Looks like baseball is really important to him. He may be a good enough baseball player and be drafted high enough that he may never see the fooball field.
heres one as well...

I heard he's friends with Khiry Cooper and may take the visit with him.
Prentiss Waggner has signed with the Vols.

Maybe it means 185 done 12 times to equal a max bench of 270....
How'd you come up with that math?
I watched this kid play during the playoffs. He and Khiry Cooper went head to head, khiry had several catches but this kid is still a freak, he even played qb for awhile, the best all around athlete on the field, very raw but lots of potential, if Nebraska could land him and cooper they would get two steals.
He played and Clinton HS in Louisiana.

I've never met so much resistance arguing in favor of more team speed....
Nothing you say could surprise me now.
If you don't want to offer anyone at rb/wr/db etc unless they have 4.3 or 4.4 at the lowest then I wouldn't expect a class of more than a half dozen max. I don't know about you, but I'd like to bring in more kids than that every year. Unless you know of some good hs players that run 4.3 and don't have offers from all over the place, tell them to give nebraska a look. Recruiting is a competition if you have not realized that.
Rashaun Woods and Larry Fitzgerald were a little better than your average receiver if I remember correctly..... but how good can a couple of all-americans really be if they only ran a 4.5-4.6 40.
cooper named to all-state team, finished with 60 receptions for 1,037 yards and 16 tds.

Assessing the talent: Steady WR prospect who last season caught 48 balls for 705 yards and 6 TD's. He was an All-District player as well as honorable mention All-State. Also is a stand-out in baseball.
Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 15% Who is recruiting in LA? This kid would be nice pick-up from LA.
Hi, I am from shreveport, LA and have watched this kid play for a few years. good looking prospect, caught around 15-17 touchdowns this year almost always in double to triple coverage. He is just as good if not better in baseball as a cf/ss. 4.5 speed is a bit off...He seems faster on the football field...would be an excellent college WR especially if he gains some weight. I'm not sure about where he would go...Offers from LSU and UF will be difficult to beat, but maybe pelini could snatch him. He's also a really solid, nice christian kid, and should do well off the field as well as on. good luck to ya'll...if you get him your getting a great kid as well as a player. p.s. www.rodscalvarywebsite.com is CBA's school site, has stories from the year including his performances.
this is a story from a local news station on khiry...lost his father at a young age but battled back, also has some game highlights and interviews with him enjoy
