wow. looking a little pudgy. & he looked a little lost out on the field today. Too bad for him. With their starter a frosh, looks like playing times gonna be hard to come by next year as well. I dont understand how nobody else in the football world can see this kids talent. Just ask his mommy. Hes the best ever. Honestly, I do kinda feel sorry for Harrison. He seems like an ok kid. just got some issues w mama.

Anyone who has followed Nebraska for the last 20 or so years has had to hear about every other team we play having superior team speed. Miami, beat em, Florida, beat em etc.... just saying that team speed does not automatically determine whos gonna win. We are just a bunch of big ol' dumb farmers here who cant run I guess..... big ol' dumb farmers w 5 Nat'l Championships

Yeah, you know, that article sounds like a bunch of rampant speculation.
Also, the promise to play Rex Burkhead in 2009 might give the coaching staff a chance to move Rex to a different position such as safety. No doubt Bo Pelini would love Rex anchoring his defense for the next four years.
The talent is so dry that Bo might be saying to Rex “If you want to be a running back, I can red shirt you or give you 5 carries a game, or I can start you right now at Safety and make you an All-American Safety by the time you leave.”
Like putting imaginary words into Bo's mouth. It seems the truth is that Rex is being recruited strictly as an RB. (see Burkhead's recruiting thread on this board) And also that the talent at safety is not that dry, given a couple of redshirting frosh are supposed to be tearing it up right now.
Rumors varied around Husker Message Boards to the cause of the suspension, but we do have good intel to support that it was most likely an NCAA fraction.
On a completely unrelated note, I heard it’s against the rules to sell your tickets.
I think the "good intel" is some message board rumor.
An NCAA fraction??? did he fail the fraction part of his math test?

Sprint classes are like a walk in the park compared to sping ball..
sprint classes help you out on running the zone read. If you keep the ball, Sprint towards the house!!!!

Will Compton gave me warm fuzzies. Jonas Gray was also a happy day.......

I think the guy who will have the biggest impact next year (besides Suh) will be Barry Turner. Dudes gonna be a beast. I'm liking whats going on @ LB too. If Whaley, Compton, Lawrence, & Fisher are all as good as we think they can be, its gonna be a fun group to watch. Oh yeah, & hopefully a healthy Phillip Dillard. The athleticism in the secondary looks good too. Gonna be interesting to see who steps up next year @ CB.

How about an Amy Sue Cooper calendar? Damn! forgot what we were talking about

The Pac 10 isn't as stout as the SEC, but lets compare the teams USC and Florida lost to. Ole Miss is 8-4. Oregon State is 8-4. Ole Miss is ranked 20th in the AP. Oregon State is ranked 24th in the AP. The teams they lost to are very similar. However, the biggest differenc is USC lost on the road while Florida got beat in their own back yard. It's not like USC didn't beat anyone. They destroyed Ohio State. They beat Oregon who is ranked 17th in the BCS 44-10. Unfortunately, we will never know how they could stack up against OU, Florida, Alabama, Texas, etc. Considering their stout defense, I think they could hang with any of them. It's kind of funny how the SEC gets all the kudos for being this great conference when they have just 4 teams ranked while the Big 12 has 3 in the top 10 alone.
Im not defending the Pac 10 but, I do think USC kinda got shafted on the NC game this year. They have far & away the best defense in the country. It is an east coast bias. period. People are getting sick of USC winning all the time. & w/the same record as Florida, its a pretty easy decision for the "powers that be" The only thing us teams not on the east coast can do is beat all the teams on the east coast. We'll start w Clemson Im not sure I really care about what espn says about us. Its fine w me not getting talked about. That way I dont have to hear Lou Holtz talk about The Univerthity of Nebrathka

This is HUGE!!! Not really surprising but huge non-the-less. Welcome to Lincoln Mr. Ankrah!!!! Great to have your srvices

Awesome post! I dont really think a lot of us Husker fans really knew too much about Clemson but I'm very pleased to say that y'all seem like an east coast version of us. Been shown nothing but respect by Tiger fans A little friendly banter but nothing but respect. Its nice to see. Happy Holidays to you & yours. ps, the first day of the new year probly wont be very fun for you but I hope nothing but the best for y'all after that. GBR

Real nice!!! Welcome Mr. Gomes!!!

Man what a bummer, no respect from ESPN or nationalchamps.net
I couldnt agree more! Im gonna stay home tonight & curl up on the couch & cry. I mean, have you seen the championship trophy nationalchamps.net or whatever they are gives out!

I think its a great idea. Youve got all these new guys in here so why not give them a year to learn the ins & outs of the system w/o losing a yr of eligibility. These guys are come out prepared to dominate & be the leaders of this team in a couple years. I do agree that its probably not the preferred method to use for all the years to come, but for the first year w the new staff, I think its brilliant. If you think about it, we only used 3 true freshman this year so basically, we start next year off w 2 recruiting classes.

One post from the Western Michigan thread locked it up early. The gay unicorn pissing a rainbow was far and away the best.

Its just more fuel to put on the fire for next year. I think Bo & Co. feed off of the lack of nat'l respect & use it to motivate. Whether they admit it or not. Do I think we had a legit All-American on the roster this year? no. But I'm guessing Mr. Suh & Mr. Henery have some new things to put in their lockers to read.
-
Wat to Mr. Burkhead!! Glad to have you!!!

Linoma Beach is AWESOME!!!! They have a bunch of big bouncy water thingys in the water. The Anchor Inn in Omaha aint too bad. Right on the Missouri river. Lots of nice "scenery" in the summer

Gotta stay @ the Marriot Sawgrass resort. hmmm.... TPC Sawgrass new years eve day, Riverfront for New Years Eve & a Husker win to kick off 2009.

When we played at USC two years ago, we had upwards of 30,000 fans in the Coliseum.
on a side note, the Coliseum sucks.
it was a big letdown, given how much buildup it gets.
That's awesome that you had 30,000 go out to LA, but playing USC is not playing Clemson. It is in a large city, and they're team is really really good. Would there be a general interest in coming to a small town in SC for a game with us???
Also, I hate to hear that the Coliseum sucks, as that is one stadium that I'd really like to visit (along with Lincoln of course.)
Dont waste your time going to the Coliseum. If you sit in the visitors section, you are @ least 200 yds. from the field & you cant see a scoreboard. Worst stadium I've ever been in.

I think it'll be Z. Lee. But you cant overlook all the reps Spano got this year on the scout team with all the same guys that are gonna be the future WR's. If theyve built some chemistry this year, watch out for Spano in the spring. JMHO

Missery. Hands down! Went down for the NU game in '97. We all remember Shevin Wiggins & Matt Davison right? Was walking out of the stadium & had a 7 yr old MU fan come up to me & flip me the bird & proceed to say, & I quote, "F*** Nebraska. You suck. Go home" & then he ran back to his dad who gave him a hi five for doing it. Them Tiger fans sure are a classy bunch. I think in the Big 12 if you wear Black & Gold, you have to be an obnoxious no-class team. I know there are classy Missouri fans. This is not directed @ them.

Committed to KU.
Per ESPN:
Randall Dent set to play for Jayhawks
Kansas has gained defensive line depth with the commitment of Randall Dent from South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, Texas).
The 6-foot-4, 255-pound Dent also considered offers from Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Minnesota, Oregon and Arizona.
He should re-consider his offer from NU... just sayin if he wants to win a big 12 championship.
