Im not as upset with this game as most of you are. I would've rather played Iowa, but it doesn't matter who or where we play.... We(I did anyways) knew going into the CCG that if we didn't win, we'd be in either the Holiday or Insight. and they both suck, so it doesn't really matter to me of which degree of suck we got. We got the 6-6 team instead of the 7-5 team, oh well. Life goes on.

Im just hoping to see a red-out on TV, wish I could go, cause Im sure its going to be a blast!!.... For the kids' sake, I hope they have different gifts from last years. Other than that, I just want to see us get some of our swagger back.

Fox football does suck. As does JoeBuck.... That said, Im glad its not on ESPN or ABC. At least now it stands alone, and isn't put in between the MAC and ACC games.

I didn't read the thread, not even the OP, so forgive me if its been said.... I have a few thoughts on this though.

1) Our crowd IS way too quiet for being 85K strong every game.

2) Our student section is way too small to even be considered an intimidating enviroment.

Now here's my idea... We put the students on the upper decks, once the expansion is complete. IDK how many seats there are on either side, I doubt it's much more than the students curently have. But being put along both sidelines, would help the noise(can you imagin the HUSKER-POWER chant?). It also means the students can stand the whole game without complaint.

The only down side that I can see is that it puts the students above the field more-so than they are now. That might negate some of the noise they make... But if this move is made when the expansion is finished, the noise should just echo, like none-other.

Not to be a Debbie Downer here, but I am hearing from my "guy" and have seen it also being talked about on another board, the word going down is that Charles had told some of the coaches and other people in the Arkansas circle he was commmitted to them. Now he comes up here and the same thing is being said that he committed.

For any of us of course it would be a no brainer, but to this kid who knows. I think it really could be a coin flip. It is a little closer to home for him and they are building their new Pig Sooooeeey Taj Mahal Athletic complex, so I can easily choosing the SEC route over a staff and program that would probably better him football wise.

I agree, big disappointment so far this season. He needs to step it the hell up.

agreed. But in his defense, Suh was a senior before he really took that leap... I think Crick is still behind where Suh was as a junior though

Here's a fun fact: Since the inception of the B12, mizzou has only one 1 conference title in ANY sport. They were basketball champs last season.

I was talking to a friend that lives in San Antonio few weeks ago and he said he would be a beast in our pistol formation funny thing is I dont see his high school running the pistol.You think bo and company would use him in the pistol ? Ilooked at rivals few mins ago and it has nebraska at number 1 on his list ,and cal is in the running as well whats up wih that?

 

Even funnier is, we don't run a pistol offense. :-}

LOL. Actually, its our base formation. Its been customized by the coaches though, so on TV it looks more like a shotgun formation.

I guess it only goes to show how little attention that apparel and marketing companies actually pay to the sport itself.

Maybe it shows how well they follow it.... Im sure they could make plenty of money on these. Esp if the team wears them for a game.

I would really like to see a uni change when we go to the B10. Nothing too drastic, but some noticable differences between NU and Wiconsin would be good. Maybe we could go back to the pants without stripes.... I've been thinking a sigle pinstripe/piping on the pants would look kinda cool. Maybe outline the sleeve stripes with the same pinstripe/piping.

Lord is a forgotten soldier. That guy was amazing. If he had the surrounding cast any of our other QB's of the TO era had, he would have been remembered as one of the greats. I have a brother in law that is an ISU fan and still gives me a hard time about Lord. All I can do is facepalm it.....

I still get a hard time for wearing my #10 Lord jersy proudly.... Lord was awesome, and the jersey's were awesome. Get over it haters.
