Zach Potter will transfer back to Creighton Prep where he will star again.
-
This seems to be specific to Nebraska, however, according to the recruits.
Maybe the Indiana basketball team coach stole all of Nebraska Coaches calls.
-
heard kc is a possible canidate for the DC at U of Minnesota....don't know what they're thinkin' but maybe we should schedule the Gophers every year
-
which player(s) do you feel was being held back in kevin cosgrove's defensive system?
-
just got done watching highlight films of the 90's blackshirts...man wrere they impressive...i don't see how we ever got away from that style of defense (both in shemes and the type of personnel that we used to put on the field...everytime the ball was snapped it was like a pack of hungary wolves attacking it's prey...the penetration and the chaos they create were unbelievable...alot of the players( especially at the LB , DE, and some at DT) were coverted players...players like donta jones , d'wayne harris etc. were really lb size DE...at the LB positions you got players like ed stewart, troy dumas ,terrell farley, jamel william, octavious mcfarlin, and many more ...these guys were really defensive back playing linebacker that's how we were able to put all that speed on the field ..they weren't just sitting back either...man i wish we could play that type of defense again with the speed and aggrression that they used to display..teams should have to change their offensive game plans to play our defense not the other around
-
you're right ..we're not the most talented team in the country but were not as bad as people think(talent wise)especially on defense...Coz has got to be the worst DC in NU history..the schemes he deployed were terrible and some of the players he choose to play were questionable...i've never seen a defense that looked so confused 90% of the time....at least the O showed some potential at times
-
it only make sense to recruit Texas...tons of talent down there....Texas and Texas A&M can only give out so many scholership per year just like anybody else...plus we're from the big 12 ...a texas kid playing for Nebraska would end up playing against a team from texas anyway giving families and friends a chance to go see them play
-
i have heard nothing but positive things about this kid ...very versatile i guess...heard that he might be the steal of the class as far as coming in w/out too much hype
-
fyi...his HS coach said that most recruiting publication list him at 185 pounds but that he actually weighs around 210 or 215 so he's probably not as light as some may think
-
I've seen P.J. listed at 6-2, 6-3 and 6-4.
Guess we'll have to put the tape on him when he gets here!
heard on 1620 yesterday...they specifically ask him how tall he was and his answer 6'2
-
heres something funny for you guys, grew up in oklahoma, went to college at university of texas, and im a die hard husker fan till I die
how did that happen?..just curious
-
that's awsome man!!!...congrats ...are you gonna still be posting here?.. i hope so..you could be our inside guy ..anyway just wanna wish you nothing but good luck
-
that's because frank solich had a hard on for crouch to be at qb...don't get me wrong, it worked out for us, but newcombe would have been a great qb.
overhype for the wrong position maybe...he was an incredible athlete that needed to be on the field regardless
totally agree..Newcombe would have been a good qb for us ...the guy can run and pass..big mistake by solich i think
-
i think it's funny that you're talking about sending safety's to be OLB's, and last year, whenever we sent blitzes, the one's that actually worked were the safety blitzes. some sort of indication of what kind of defense you should be running?
91 Washington, NU 93-1999 were the defenses that I loved to see!
good point on that 91 Washington defense...they were loaded w/speed and aggressive as hell..
-
i didn't think D'Angelo was overhype..thought he was every bit as good as advertise until he had that groin problem...the guy would have been a star
-
He made it public that he is going to sign with Miami.
That sucks! I hate it when recruits play games!
that's why i'm all for an early signing period...kids nowaday crave attention and they are going to drag it out as long as they can
-
yeah i'd put Herian up there too i guess..with his size speed combo he would have been a star in the WCO..especially the way we were planning to use the TE
-
of all the incoming freshmen who do you think has the best shot at getting some early playing time and why?
-
one player i wish we would have gotten is Barry Sander... although i think it was more about us turning him down...i guess we were looking at a player on his team and his coach(sander's coach) said we should really check out this kid(sander)...i guess our coach wasn't interested or they told him we didn't have a spott for him or something like that...i think sander would have sign with us if we had shown any interest in him
-
i myself thought D'Angelo was on the way to stardom before he had that groine problem...could have been somethin' special
-
which former NU player (s) do you feel was on the way to a good playing career only to be cut short by injuries or other factor?
-
who do you feel is the most or one of the most overhype player or players to sign w/NU?..I'M talking about someone that came in highly ranked but for one reason or another never reach their playing potential..
-
just saw on huskerpedia that kendall thompkin's gonna sign w/Miami
-
