  1. Final point on the forty dash being overrated. How do you explain Dan Alexander a timed mid 4.5 guy pulling away from Colorado's Ben Kelly a legit timed 4.2 guy on an 80 yard touchdown?

    40=overrated

Legit 4.2 speed?? No way. Very few people in the world can run that fast. And no way would any of those people would go to Colorado.

It was more like 4.3 speed, but the guy was a track star playing football. Just like Griffin from Baylor. The guy was supposed to be one of the fastest, if not the fastest kid in football and Alexander ran right past him and kept him on his heels.

  2. In regards to the 'reading comprehension' - comprehend yourself. I'm saying there is nothing wrong with a guy getting 4 yards. I am defending Alexander.

Also, I am aware that Alexander had speed. I don't need to watch the video to show he could break away....if he held onto the ball.

Also, also...I know that the "3 Yards...Dust" came from Woody Hayes...that's why I used the word "ADOPT".

My bad cmb, I replied to the wrong quote, it was meant for newenglandhusker's comment

  3. I agree. This comparison is horrible. Dan "punch your ticket" Alexander would stumble forward for 4 yards. He always started his descent to the ground after the first bit of contact. He had fumble problems because his "biceps were too big." Castille is quite obviously much more athletic than Dan Alexander.

    1st & 10 - Gain 4 yards

    2nd & 6 - Gain 4 yards

    3rd & 2 - Gain 4 yards

    1st & 10....

Doesn't seem too horrible of a concept. Didn't the option/running game at Nebraska for years under Devaney, Osborne and Solich adopt the mindset and the phrase "Three yards and a cloud of dust"???

watch this video and tell me that the guy isn't a homerun threat:

oh, and I guess he couldn't take hits either and keep going. Watch this video as well. (sorry about the crappy rap)

  4. sorry to catch you guys on a bad night. just looking for some conversation. not a bashing. or we can talk about the gator bowl til april.

Some people just need to put their tampon in and call it a night. I for one, can only hope Cody Green turns out to be a stud, but it's just to early to tell right now.

  5. simed it and yes witt is on the game but they have Spano rated higher i don't why that is.

    Because Spano's the S%&T!!!

I recently played through the first year on Dynasty, and finished with a 10-2 record. Went to the Fiesta bowl, and I kid you not Clemson was my opponent!

P.S. Am I the only one to take the time to print of our roster and change all the names on the three deep to the real names? My wife thinks it's a lil nuts, but hopefully some fellow gamers do this as well. :dunno

man, you're wasting your time. Download them from the EA Locker, it fills out everyone's names on every team. Much funner that way.

  6. A college kid drinking? BLASPHEMY!

Kids will drink. But he needs to realize he has a responsibility to his teammates and coaches. He is getting a free education to play football. He needs to see what kind of opportunity this is and man up.

    Man up to what exactly?

If we made a big deal out of underage kids drinking that are on the football team, we wouldn't have a kid left. Heck, we would barely have a kid left in school.

It happens. The only reason this is even an blurb in the OWH is because he plays football. Non-issue.

I was just saying that he needs to show more responsibility. I will guarantee that Pelini said something about drinking after the Christiansen situation about drinking. And Williams pretty much said FU coach Pelini. I am sure most don't share my opinion but I don't care. It was irresponsible.

  7. A college kid drinking? BLASPHEMY!

  8. I voted for Beaver Stadium (Penn State). The headline of the story is "10 great places to STAND and cheer college football" unfortunately because of all the geriatrics at the games it is impossible to STAND and cheer without getting a "down in front" or someother kind of scowl during a time of jubilation. Way to go geezers making me vote for someone elses stadium all because you want bring the stadium atmosphere down. :rant

For the love of God, let it go

  9. Now I know we (Bo) doesn't evaluate teams based on "stars" or rating services, but as fans that is really all we have to go on. With the season winding down, and looking toward the continual re-building of Nebraska, I wanted to see how we are doing for recruiting:

16 Total Recruits, Average stars 3.00. Ranked 42nd Overall recruiting class.

We do have a few more people coming to our CU game that could commit, and that may move us into the high 30's. That still puts us behind these schools that I think we should be beating:

    Texas A&M (19)

    Virginia Tech (23)

    Maryland (26)

    Rutgers (27)

    Missouri (28)

    Virginia (29)

    and even Duke (40) :bs:

Now I have full confidence that bo will do the right things and what not, and it is still really early, but man, I hope he pulls as awesome recruiting class in the end. thoughts?

Sort of a moot point on the duke recruiting. if i were given a chance between UNL and Duke I would take duke in a heart beat. No comparison for the undergraduate education between the two. Same can be said for stanford / the ivies.

You obviously haven't been a nebraska fan for long, have you? I would have given my right nut to have had a scholarship offer to play football for Nebraska. And if it came down to Duke or UNL I would pick UNL every time.

  10. I bet weekly on games on betusa.com and bodog.com and looked at how many game we were supposed to win just before the beginning of the season. Nebraska's line was 7 wins and I took it figuring a push or maybe better. so we should be 1 win better than "they" expected before the season started! GBR!

I used to bet on games through Bodog.com until I found out it is illegal in the US.

  11. Joe hurt his knee against Kansas two games ago. I remember him wearing a protective sleeve on it after he got it rolled on. I am sure this is just a precautionary taken by the staff to make sure that something isn't partially torn or whatever. And I will guarantee that he was not being hit in practice. Bo would ram a 50 foot pole up someones arse if that happened.

  12. I was thinking the same thing. It was really annoying to hear the Nebraska band start to play than the KU band would start. They would also play ever time we did something well. I think it was the "jeepers creepers" tune.
