Guys, guys, guys! I agree it is a risk to start a RFrosh at QB...but why are we suprised? The offense was anemic last year...Bo wants to run the ball to set up the pass.....its Martinez and Green are best suited to it! I feel for Zach, but thats the direction we are headed in. In my opinion we can't win the conference or NC w/Lee. We may not be able to with a FROSH, but I would rather see this staff go for it....and Martinez appears to have the IT factor. We see what happens when he faces a good defense, but it is nice to know we have 3 solid QBs.

Show them this and it might shut them up also.

 

I was actually at that game...beautiful! I remember their play by play guy was just killing the Hawkeyes season ticket holders, because the red out numbered the black&gold 4:1.

Just moved to IOWA CITY for a job.....stuck amongst the LIBS and Hawkeyes. It is really hard listening to the fluff about how the Hawkeyes are going to win their first National Championship! I will say this...they have some talent, and play good defense, but it is a lonely place for a HUSKER! I wish so badly the Huskers/Hawks played this year so I could shut some of them up!

i developed one this year where i HAD to stand while we were offense. i think it started because i kept knocking stuff over or blasting people with elbows from jumpin up when we had a boneheaded play.

I love how Mizzou fans glorify their pitifullness. Oops I forgot I married a Mizzou grad.... I have to admit, there was A VERY SMALL part of me that was happy for them and their success.....and then I went to a game in Columbia and lost all respect for them. They don't know how to win with class because they have had no experience at consistently winning!

I loved the first day of full pads as well.....this is when Pelini and company really start to see what they have...especially from the frosh.

Great book. I had a lot of respect for JP as a player but even more after I read what he went through. To come through what he did and make something of himself says alot about him. He has to be an inspiration to people that are struggling with substance abuse.

Wow. 220! Helu and Castille are going to pound on some people this season. Helu can be special......I hope he can stay healthy, because if Castille plays consistently like he did against Clemson....look out! What a one/two punch!

BLACKSHIRTS will be MUCH better this year for 2 reasons. This will be the 2nd year in Bo's system.......and this will be the 2nd year in Bo's system......I guess that is one reason, but A MAJOR reason!

I have said it many times...but I will say it again. The entire conference is about to see a major STEP UP in the BLACKSHIRTS. Our defense will carry us and keep us in some games that we haven't been in the past. If we can get a good performance from Lee this season, this will be a season we mark as the resurgence of all the is good and should be in the BIG 12....Nebraska competing year in and year out with Texas and OU for conference championships!

I guess I am old old FOGEY.....but I think a person is certainly defined by their actions....how you win is defining...but how you lose is your character. That doesn't mean you shake the hands with an individual that hasn't played in the spirit of the contest, but I do think when you have battled someone and they come out on top it is honorable to congratulate them on their victory.

In my opinion this is what defines the difference between Nebraska and everyone else......

We have been taken by MU the last few years, it is hard to deal with, when for decades you always got a W against Mizzou. You certainly have some room to brag, but I am telling you, BO will get our defense to a top 10 level. If the Blackshirts take as big a step as I think they will this year, look out Mizzou fans we could be starting another streak. I like Pinkel and I like his recruiting classes....but I think it is just a matter of time until BO gets his players and this will be back to life as it should be.....HUSKER DOMINATION......IMHO....but enjoy your moment.....it was a long time coming!

Everyone in Big 12 North Land is going to be very surprised at how good the Blackshirts are going to be. The most athletic we have been in a long while. If we can get anything out of QB this is going to be a good run this season.

Grant is obviously deserving....but at some point Tommy has to be in there too....among others.
